We have recently located and have been successfully providing childcare and education for children in the Mortlake/Sheen area for 23 years of Good Ofsteds.
We are very popular with parents and our staff have been with us for many years. Many of the staff have had their own children at the nursery school.
The owner Liz Maitland has sucessfully owned 3 nursery schools for 23 years. She has a Montessori Degree, BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies, Norland Dipolma with Distinction, NNEB, RSH Nursery Nurse. Liz has dedicated her life to the love and care of the children, formally a Primary school teacher.

She has had a excellent start to her education thanks to the loving and nurturing assistance shown to her and the increasingly crucial safety aware and secure setting of the childcare centre and its fantastic team. My daughter has been at this childcare centre since she turned two.

We have appreciated the childcare centre staying open during the pandemic. I highly suggest. My two kids aged four and two years attend this childcare centre.

My boys have flourished at Busy Lizzie’s Montessori and I would highly suggest it for parents who want to send their kids to childcare centre. My eldest attended this fantastic Montessori 10 years ago and now my younger two aged 2 and 3 also attend.

December 11, 2024 at 4:28 pmHe is going willingly and is truly cheerful to see his educators and that is the most important for me. I like the way this childcare centre operates, I like the people who work there, and I like the weekly activities they create for kids, overall they have and do everything that I have wanted for my kid. My son started at one and a half years old and at this moment he is nearly three. He has the setting to be social and creative, and I believe it is contributing a lot to his overall development. I am confident he will have all the skills before starting primary school. I highly suggest Busy Lizzie’s Montessori childcare centre/preschool to any parent and if I ever have more kids, this childcare centre will consistently be my first choice in East Sheen. My son is highly cheerful at Busy Lizzie’s Montessori childcare centre.

January 8, 2025 at 12:53 amHe started when he was 2 years old and the team were absolutely remarkable in welcoming him and providing him with a inviting, loving, attentive and enjoyable setting. My key was consistently that he was cheerful and had enjoyable at such a young age but I have to say how impressed I am with the way they inject discovering and development into the day without him even knowing. He has come on leaps and bounds. He talks about his day from the minute he gets home and during holiday time, he can’t wait to get back to his friends and the educators. A lovely relaxed, welcoming setting and as a mother, I sense highly confident that my son is cheerful, well looked after and being taught to a high standard. My son has enjoyed being at St Mary Magdalen Montessori since the day he joined and continues to do so a year later.

January 10, 2025 at 7:15 pmSince the first day, when she immediately felt comfortable in the welcoming and welcoming setting there, she has run into the childcare centre every day. She has made many friends and has grown hugely in self‑assurance. Each day she comes home and talks about what she’s been doing – from ballet, cooking, football, to French or music – she has never been bored. Unfortunately, due to a change in circumstances, she is leaving the childcare centre this year, but I know she will truly miss both the educators and her friends, and I know she will have many cheerful memories of her time spent there. During the year that my daughter has spent at the childcare centre, I have been hugely impressed by how much she has progressed in the team’s inviting, engaging and enthusiastic care.

The team are highly welcoming and highly expert willing to help with any questions and go above and beyond to facilitate this. Outstanding childcare centre I highly suggest my son attended here for two years.

February 16, 2025 at 6:09 pmShe will be returning next term for her final year in September. The setting is lovely and the size and layout of the space works well. The team are all remarkable and consistently inviting and welcoming. The equipment provided is highly great and the childcare centre is kept highly spotless and secure. The childcare centre consistently looks well decorated with the kids’s artwork and term projects. My daughter has done truly well and enjoys all the extra activities which are: French, music, cooking, dance and football. She has made some truly great friends there too. I highly suggest this childcare centre and will be truly sad when my daughter leaves to go to school. My daughter has attended this highly welcoming childcare centre since the term beginning after she turned 2 years old (she will soon be 4).

He was highly shy when he started, but due to the adore and attention of the team, he highly quickly became a highly confident little boy. They have a excellent programme which includes cookery, ballet and football, he especially loved cooking and playing football. The childcare centre also has many events throughout the year, we especially enjoyed sports day and the Easter egg hunt. They also hold a Christmas playtime, which is highly sweet, and all of the kids take part; it was highly well organised, and I would suggest the childcare centre. My son spent three exceptionally cheerful years at St Mary Magdalen Montessori Childcare centre School.

All the team made us sense highly welcome and have all been incredible with her.
It is a highly welcoming, welcoming, nurturing and spotless setting where I sense my daughter is well cared for.
The childcare centre is well equipped and I think the space is perfect for the kids.
It also has two outdoor spaces for the different age groups which are lovely.
I would highly suggest this childcare centre and we highly much look forward to the autumn term. My daughter (who turned 2 in March) started at the childcare centre in April 2018 and she absolutely loves it.
She comes home every day highly cheerful and enjoys telling me all the different activities she has been doing during the day.

May 31, 2025 at 11:44 amI will send my younger daughter when she turns two. The team are highly welcoming and obviously care deeply about the kids in their care. My daughter absolutely loves going and often comes home with highly creative artwork matched to activities in the calendar, using a excellent range of craft supplies which is a joy. She loves tennis and ballet. Her speech and counting have improved noticeably and the Montessori approach is beneficial as she enjoys tidying up now! I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this fantastic childcare centre. The team take Covid-19 precautions highly seriously to protect everyone. Well done all at St Mary Magdalen Montessori Childcare centre School. My daughter started at two and a half years old and has attended for six months.
