Busy Bees St Albans City Hospital

I had no hesitation in choosing this nursery after our first child came here for 4-years. We have always been so pleased with the care. Staff are kind and welcoming and always go the extra mile. They enjoy their work, and I am happy that my child is well looked after each day and the activities on offer are varied. The management is exceptional. I was recommended this nursery by a close friend and have since recommended it to many others who have children here and are very happy.

We have been a part of the Busy Bees (at SACH) family for almost 6 years. We could not have asked for a better environment for our girls to be in while we are at work. I feel the staff really know and understand our children, as well as us as a family. It is a fun, kind, supportive and nurturing environment. The children have loved their time at the nursery and have formed close bonds with lots of the staff, as well as the nursery manager. I feel the team really care for each other too which makes for a very positive and happy workplace, which in turn benefits the children. I trust the team implicitly and would not hesitate to recommend it.

This is an excellent nursey – I could not have wished for a better environment. Being a first-time parent is a very daunting experience, but the excellent level of support, care and professionalism shown by the wonderful team at St Albans Hospital Busy Bees nursery help make it a joy. Great staff, food, classes, activities, outside space, structured learning – with excellent parents evening feedback and an app to track progress, parent-friendly opening hours! easy drop off, parent support at all stages of development: from when my child joined at 5months to now 3.5years. The core team at the nursery is very friendly, strong, stable and experienced and that really helps to create an excellent nursery. Do not bother looking for another nursery – truly you will not regret choosing this nursery. (Extremely happy with the COVID measures put in place to safeguard the staff, parents and children – just another example of how well the nursery is run).

We trust the staff to keep them safe, which enables them to explore and develop. They eat well and are given a good variety of activities. We have seen our twin girls develop in many ways since they started earlier this year. They thrive in the supportive nursery environment set up to cater to their needs. 
The nursery setting has also given the girls an opportunity to mix with other children of their own age, which is important to us, particularly during the lockdown.

Cannot recommend this nursery enough. My first child loved it there and now my second child is halfway through her years with them and loves it just as much. I will be sad when the time comes that I do not have a child with them anymore. The staff are like friends now after so many years. Most of the staff have been there a very long time. The on-site chef is fantastic and my girls have always eaten very well there. It is clean, with good facilities. Most importantly, especially if your child is starting young, they really do look after your child with the utmost care. They are loving and kind and teach good values and manners. They are creative with their games and learning activities and each day is filled with fun with friends. It is a home away from home. I looked around a lot of well known and popular nurseries in the area but I just knew this was the right place for us.

Words can’t express how much we love Busy Bees at St Alban’s City Hospital and our daughter loves it even more than we do!! She started at 10 months old, having never left us due to lockdown, and the staff transformed her from an anxious baby who missed her mummy and daddy, to the happiest, most outgoing little star, who can’t wait to get to nursery in the mornings. She’s since moved up to the second class. The transition was seamless and she’s equally happy there spending time with the team members and everyone else. She never stops talking about nursery and comes home beaming, telling us all about the lovely activities they do together and how much fun she’s had with all of her friends. We are so, grateful to everyone who works at Busy Bees. They are a huge part of my daughter’s life. She adores them all, and they’re helping to shape her into a happy, friendly, confident girl, who is always delighted to hear it’s a nursery day! We really can’t thank them enough for all they do for her.

We have been using this nursery for over a year. The team have continually supported our child through the development stages, providing education and fun. The staff are very approachable and supportive to parents navigating each development stage.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since 2019 and everything about our experience has been positive. The staff are all friendly and attentive towards my daughter and most importantly she is always happy to go! The manager is great and always available for a chat.

My child has been attending since June 2019. When we picked the nursery, it was mainly on price (they offer an NHS discount) and hours (open earlier and longer than some other nurseries in the area), as well as being close to home. Now, I can safely say, it was the best decision we’ve made. The staff are brilliant (always available to talk, even when dealing with a room full of children!) and my child has really thrived. They’ve put up with many of my nuances! Like parents who shouldn’t have a favourite child, we don’t/shouldn’t have a favourite staff member, but one staff member really has been amazing from the very beginning. She was the one who ran through where my child’s development was at when she started nursery and was incredible at keeping us posted on the mayhem that she got up to in Baby 2. A great asset to the team (but like I said, I have no favourites)! Keep up the great work and thank you!

My child absolutely loves attending Busy Bees, St Albans City Hospital Nursery. All of the staff are kind, caring and friendly. They work so hard to make sure each day is great fun and filled with brilliant activities. The outdoor space is perfect for the children. The nursery has helped my child grow in confidence and learn so much.
The team is well led by a fantastic manager and each child has a lovely key worker.
My child loves the nutritious food and always comes home well-fed.
As a family we 100% recommend this nursery.
