Welcome to Teddington Day Nursery and Preschool, where our experienced and long-standing staff are dedicated to the care and early education of all children aged 3 months to 5 years. Our purpose-built nursery, with onsite parking, a buggy park, located close to Hampton Wick train station, offers excellent links into London. Benefit from extended opening hours, spanning from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, with limited funded-only places available.
Throughout our nursery, we provide the best start to schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress, whether that involves transitioning between rooms or preparing for school.

September 7, 2024 at 5:32 pmMy son started attending during the backend of the lockdown due to his usual childcare centre not re-opening. We couldn’t have been more delighted in the end. The childcare centre itself is bright, spotless, and has a highly positive sense to it. It seems highly secure and well managed. The team are welcoming, expert and you can tell they truly delight in what they are doing and that they adore kids. My son consistently comes home a bit tired, cheerful and well-fed. The food choice and selection seem excellent and are consistently varied. He eats everything. Updates is outstanding. We get a sheet daily stating what he has eaten and activities, along with sleep times and nappy changes, etc. The playroom and outside space are welcoming and enjoyable environments, team truly engage with the kids. Nothing seems too much trouble and can’t fault them. Highly recommended. Absolutely remarkable childcare centre.

September 21, 2024 at 1:43 pmSince the arrival of the new leadership team in 2018, this childcare centre has become exceptional. Team turnover has been reasonably low. Team all display excellent care and adore for the kids, with a genuine interest in their lives. It is a cheerful place, with excellent facilities and a culture of care. The whole preschool class has been exceptionally well prepared for school. I have had a kid at this childcare centre since Nov’15.

The team are truly compassionate to him, and consistently supportive if you need anything. I sense he is looked after and cared for and that’s the most important thing. Wish the menu was a bit more varied – that’s my only criticism truly! Our little boy is truly enjoying himself at Sandy Lane.

October 17, 2024 at 5:12 pmDue to the pandemic, we postponed the starting date of our son. The management and team were highly expert, accommodating of our needs and most welcoming. Our toddler started settling in pre-school in September and we couldn’t be happier despite our initial concerns after 7 months at home.
He quickly grew highly fond of all the team and loves all the activities. It is a joy and a peace of mind to see him so cheerful there and developing so much. The menu is diverse and detailed feedback sheets are given every day. During the pandemic, all the team have been exemplar in minimising the risk of infections and the impact to the kids’s lives. Our 1-year-old daughter is also going to start childcare centre now and we couldn’t be more confident of the childcare centre choice we made. We moved to Teddington a year ago and chose this childcare centre for the lovely team and modern, spacious facilities.

November 26, 2024 at 10:35 amShe runs in, in the morning and skips out at the end of the day. She loves being outside, and they go in the garden all year round in all weathers. She also loves all of the singing activities, and she is now coming home and teaching me the songs (and not the other way round)! All of the childcare centre team are incredibly inviting and welcoming to the kids and parents. The childcare centre manager and her assistance are so open and supportive and maintain outstanding updates channels with us as parents. This year has been particularly challenging due to the pandemic, and they have managed the change in processes in such an effective way that it has had no impact on the enjoyable journey for my daughter. My daughter has attended this childcare centre since she was 9-months-old ( she is now 3), she absolutely loves going to childcare centre.

December 12, 2024 at 2:06 amOperating under the exceptionally difficult circumstances of a pandemic they went above and beyond expectations to help my son settle in to a new childcare centre setting with new kids and carers after our previous childcare centre did not re-open post lockdown. He has flourished both socially and educationally and I sense he is gaining a solid grounding for starting school in September. The management took incredible pains to ensure his dietary needs were met (due to allergy issues) which I found truly reassuring. But most important of all is that the carers in his pre-school room are so attentive with him that he absolutely adores them. I can’t rate the childcare centre highly enough. The childcare centre have taken outstanding care of my kid over the last 10 months.

January 7, 2025 at 3:03 pmShe settled in highly quickly. I was a bit worried as I’ve never left her with anyone besides family members before. But it was a clear sign that the girls are highly nice.
It’s a shame because of the pandemic I haven’t had the chance to meet them properly or been inside to see the childcare centre but hopefully with the restrictions easing that will change.
My daughter has learned so much from academic to social skills and I’m highly cheerful I chose this childcare centre! My daughter loves the childcare centre!

February 19, 2025 at 11:51 pmAs a full time working mother, I had to send my little one to childcare centre at 8 months old. Whilst I wasn’t too sure about it at first, as my baby could not even sit properly at the time and was exceptionally attached to me. However, the manager and team kindly allowed my baby to have an extended settling period spanning over two months period. It made it a lot easier when she officially enrolled and stayed for the full day. The team also provided regular updates during the initial few weeks (while I was at work), which gave me a lot of comfort. My little one now truly enjoys being at childcare centre and picked up a lot of new skills. Thank you to the team. I’m highly cheerful and thankful for the help and care from the manager and her team, especially those carers in the baby room.

I’m sure this is down to the team and a wide range of activities they put on for the kids. Pleased to see her discovering new things and developing her reading and writing already. Many thanks for making this such a smooth transition. Highly cheerful with the continuity of care and all of the team I have met from the manager to all the team in the pre-school room.

They provide a compassionate-hearted, structured and measured setting where kids are treated with respect and given the space to be themselves. The team team have high standards, pay a excellent attention to detail and they communicate openly and with empathy. My daughter is now 3.5 years old and has been at this childcare centre since she was 10 months old and I couldn’t be happier with the service provided. The inviting, flexible and focussed attitude of the team has rubbed off on kids and parents alike, helping to create a positive, comfortable childcare centre community which we all have the pleasure of being part of. The manager and the whole team at Bright Horizons Teddington Day Childcare centre and Preschool are highly expert, attentive and committed.

June 7, 2025 at 3:26 pmManagement has been incredibly supportive in helping us with the settle-in, trying to accommodate his habits and preferences. Circumstances have been quite exceptional and management and team have dealt with those truly well. In spite of constraints due to Covid, we’ve consistently felt things were under control and the impact on childcare centre activity was minimised. My kid truly enjoys his time at the childcare centre, and he has been building lovely interactions with all team and kids. My kid started attending the childcare centre in September at 8 months of age.
