February 7, 2022 at 12:00 amEver since the manager changed, the standards and level of care have dropped! During the government announcement in January and warning to stay at home, the nursery went ahead with the parent evening allowing parents in. We decided not to go as this was very stupid and I am critically vulnerable. Days later three cases of covid in the nursery and one being my daughter! Now I have covid, thanks very much! The manager hasn’t even contacted us which is very unprofessional. Also, for eligibility for assisted funding, we were told there has been a form for us in reception for weeks. We never go in the main building and no one told us. We then received a phone call to say for the 15 hours we don’t need to fill out anything. Days later an administrator called us and was very aggressive and wouldn’t accept we were told this by them! The nursery is now doing outside walks with children and we said we are not happy and don’t consent to this because there are lots of cars!

March 2, 2022 at 12:00 amMy husband and I are very happy with everything at Bright Horizons. The staff are all fantastic and our son adores them all. Our son’s food allergies are handled brilliantly, which is such a great piece of mind when he is in their care. The nursery was not able to be viewed when our son started due to covid restrictions, but we never had any doubt that it wasn’t the right placement. The staff kept us up to date with daily reports and photos, which has now moved online on the app, which is great. I have recommended Bright Horizons to colleagues and friends.

March 2, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little girl loves coming into nursery. She is greeted by all members of staff so personally. She walks into nursery with a big smile. My daughter has learnt so much i.e. colours, numbers, letters, shapes and the attention given to the likes and dislikes is second to none. Generally, my little one is a fussy eater, but she enjoys most of her food at nursery, especially the puddings! My daughter comes out of nursery with a huge smile each day, which speaks volumes. The new app is a great way to see what the children get up to each day. I cannot find any reason to complain. The nursery is fantastic and I thoroughly recommend.

I feel so comfortable leaving my daughter with her teachers each day, knowing that she will be well looked after. I also think all the teachers did an amazing job during the covid crisis. I would highly recommend this nursery.

The introduction of the App to see in real time what your child is doing is a great addition and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

April 26, 2022 at 12:00 amOur experience at Bright Horizons Mount Vernon Day Nursery has been really lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming. My child has learnt and grown within a relatively short time here. The new App is a fantastic tool to communicate the children’s learning and day to day experiences. The soft playroom is a real bonus. The parking can be hectic at times but we have managed to drop off and pick up fine.

April 26, 2022 at 12:00 amOur son has been attending Bright Horizon Mount Vernon since January 2022, when he was 6 months old. The team has been absolutely amazing in supporting us through the settling in process. Communication is really good, they worked with us to test different weaning approaches, providing helpful insights whilst always listening to and addressing any concern we had. All staff are extremely caring and passionate about what they do, so I would definitely recommend. My only very minor complaint is that parking at peak time can be quite tricky!

They take attention to detail and care of each and every child to the best of their ability. We get regular updates via emails and the new app, and I have been able to attend a parent’s evening at the nursery.

April 28, 2022 at 12:00 amVery happy with this nursery and would highly recommend. An abundance of warm and loving, long-tenured staff. My son feels safe, loved and happy and I trust them! There is a large outdoor area and the older children spend lots of time out of doors. Communication is great with the new app. In comparison to a previous nursery, I find that there is a lot less focus on academics, but that may be the result of the different nursery philosophies. Food menu is varied, cooked onsite and always smells nice. Children do lots of projects and there are fun activities. Nice big space.

The curriculum is delivered to a very good standard and my children are making excellent progress in their learning and development. They adore the staff!

She plays and learns a great deal, whilst making friends and she gets on so well with the staff, who are very kind and caring. She will miss them all when she goes to school, but her baby brother will be starting there, as it’s just such a great start for children.

The manager and her team have been welcoming and accommodating to my son, who has complex medical needs. I feel confident that he is well looked after and have seen a huge improvement in his development. Highly recommended.

April 28, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has been attending Mount Vernon, Bright Horizons, from the age of 9 months old and we could not have chosen a better setting for him. The staff are simply brilliant and this helped my son settle quickly and thrive in the nursery environment. As a parent I feel that the nursery staff keep me informed about everything that my child has been involved in during the day and despite being a full time working mum, I feel that I am very much involved in my child’s progress and learning. I could not ask for more.

August 17, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has attended the nursery since she was 9 months old and the team have taken such great care of her throughout every stage of her development since being at the nursery. The team are approachable, friendly and really care about the children. They are always interested in my daughter and really invest in her care, which you can feel when dropping off. I like the app, as I get to see daily updates and pictures of my daughter playing with her friends and taking part in activities throughout the day. Cannot recommend the nursery enough.

April 26, 2023 at 12:00 amThe team at Bright Horizons Mount Vernon are all so welcoming and engaging with us as the parents, but most importantly, our daughter. The activities, daily photos and updates in the app are a perfect way for us to know she is having a good day, slept and eaten well too. The quality of meals available is fantastic too. We are so pleased with our experience so far.
