Bliss Childcare and Nursery School

Our son started Bliss in January and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Our son seems to really enjoy it and as parents we love the nursery. The staff are fantastic, they have great facilities and communication is excellent.

Our boy has just turned two and started at Bliss in November last year. He really missed it during lockdown and now he is back he loves it even more. He talks about it to us and every time we pass on a non-nursery day he is pointing and wanting to go.
All the staff we have met there are lovely and clearly care about the children they look after.
It is a lovely building with excellent facilities for the children.

Our now 18 months old son joined Bliss just after it opened in October 2019. Since day 1, he has just had a wonderful time. He is always excited to see his key worker who he has a lovely bond with and gets up to a variety of stimulating activities every day. He often comes home and shows us new words or actions he has learned so the learning is clearly engaging for him. He very much enjoys the varied menu too. We’ve been really impressed with Bliss’s handling of the covid pandemic, they acted quickly and decisively so parents knew where they stood at all times and gave regular clear updates, which has been very reassuring. Overall, from the start I’ve felt confident and reassured that my child is in the best hands and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bliss to anyone.

Our daughter has been attending Bliss since July and absolutely loves it. She runs in the door every morning giving her key worker a big hug which is so reassuring. She has developed incredibly over the past few months which is testament to the variety of activities the team provide. The meals are healthy and varied and they spend time outside every day which is brilliant. The management have been fantastic in terms of communication and flexibility particularly throughout the COVID period. I would highly recommend this nursery and have done to other mothers in the area.

Both of our daughters went and go to Bliss Childcare and Nursery School. We moved here from the US a year ago and our oldest loved it for the short time she went before starting reception and she still likes to go say hello when we do pick-up. My youngest has gone for six months and the one thing that stands out to me is that she is really happy to go there every day. She’s never hesitant or upset, she loves it and has a great relationship with the staff. The staff are great too. They let us know what’s going on and keep us well-informed since we can’t visit or check-in in person, like before because of Covid-19. They are also very flexible with scheduling. After doing some research, I also think this nursery is a great value. Our daughter attends for full days. Overall, we’re very pleased to have found them and are grateful to have their help and flexibility.

My son started at Bliss when he was 7 months old. He gets so excited when he gets taken upstairs to the baby room (basically dances) and never seems to want to leave.
It’s beyond reassuring knowing that he is so happy there whilst my husband and I are at work. He gets fantastic care from all the staff and he clearly adores them! one staff member is always on hand for anything and is extremely patient with my numerous stupid questions.
Couldn’t recommend it higher!!

I have had two kids in the nursery for nearly 2 years now. It became dire over the summer 2022 and was in a really bad place. Since then with strong leadership and support the team have pulled it from zero to hero. It is a different place. We have gone from worrying whether to send our kids there to loving sending our kids there. The staff are so much happier and the procedures they have put in place for safety and security of the children have been clear. They have an in-house chef who cooks the meals, varied weekly classes including yoga, teddy tennis and music. They have even started Mandarin lessons. They take the children out to parks and further afield trips such as museums. They have also planned parties for parents to attend such as Halloween, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Easter etc. The events they have done for parents to come to have been very well thought out and frankly lovely gifts such as a photographed keyring of my children, which I love.

I would highly recommend this nursery. My son is now 4 years old and has been attending the nursery since he was 1 year old. He is very happy and loves going. The staff are very caring and imaginative with the children. Thanks to the staff, who noticed my son’s trouble hearing difficulties in a noisy environment, we discovered that he had glue ear and were able to get it treated quickly. The nursery staff and in particular the preschool teacher, were excellent in supporting him when he was anxious and reluctant to play with others due to his poor hearing. It changed his life. Thanks to Bliss’s support, we now have a happy child, who has friends and integrates well in groups. While this nursery faced challenges with staff turnover, the preschool teachers were excellent throughout. The new staff have spread this high standard throughout the nursery and brought a new focus on singing, which has grown my son’s confidence further. The nursery’s in-house chef is excellent.

My 19-month-old daughter has been in the baby room for 7 months and absolutely loves it. On her days off, we walk past and she waves and kicks her legs. All the staff are brilliant, very caring and friendly and I know she is well looked after. They’re always up to different activities (painting, playing with sand, crafting, water play, park visits) and she regularly starts singing songs I didn’t know she knew so they must do plenty of singing there too. I’ve never seen their lunch/tea etc but they have a wide variety of healthy meals based on their menu and her carers always report that she eats it all (99% of the time) so they must be pretty tasty. Staff are always happy to answer any questions I have or implement any changes I’d like (e.g. nap timings etc). Highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking.

My daughter has been attending the setting for 8 months now. She loves the staff and is always welcomed with open arms.
Since the new management team have taken over, we have noticed a huge difference within the setting and with our daughter’s development. They get taken on outings regularly, she’s encouraged to be independent and meeting all her milestones at an amazing pace. We are updated with all the lovely activities she does during the day with pictures and videos.
The staff make a lot of effort with parents daily and organise events such as Mother’s Day social, Easter bonnet parade and parent stay and play.
The children are provided with fresh healthy meals cooked on-site every day.
Overall, the management team and staff have done a fantastic job in turning around the nursery. Myself and my partner couldn’t be happier knowing our daughter is left in trusted care. Regards.
