Banana Moon Day Nursery Bridgend

The first week was hard for my daughter because I was the only one she spent all her time with from when she was born, but excellent and professional staff worked so hard with both of us (to be honest) that my daughter was happy to go there after 4 days. Now, without any problem, she says ‘bye’ and is happy there. You can easily see (like I did) that this nursery is open because people there love what they are doing. They know what to do, how to help and best of all, they are always happy in what they do.

Only has attended Banana Moon since it opened in April. My son was 3 in July and has been in Full Moons with his key worker. My son’s speech has improved significantly, he is counting in Welsh, he knows the weather in Welsh and has been potty trained. Thank you to his key worker.

After spending our first 13 months together inseparable, only parted two or three times for an hour maximum, I was a bit worried about my daughter starting nursery as I started university. On our first day apart I was lost, I missed my daughter terribly. I couldn’t wait to pick her up and when I did I was surprised to find that she had not been upset about missing me at all! She was beaming. Since then, she has made strong connections with both the children and the staff. She is always greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm and I can tell she feels so at home in the nursery. Over the 6 months that she has been attending the nursery, she has grown into the most independent, clever and funny little girl I have ever met and I believe that the fun, caring, kind staff at Banana Moon have helped her flourish this way. The nursery itself has brilliant facilities and masses of toys to keep even the busiest children busy but it’s the amazing work from the nurses that makes it so perfect.

The staff are always enthusiastic, informative and welcoming. They always greet my son by name and seem to enjoy him spending time at the nursery. The recent parents evening was very informative too. I would appreciate a little more feedback on things we should potentially consider doing with our son at home, for instance, if we need to do more reading with him. Although, I appreciate this isn’t always needed.

The team have been excellent when dealing with my son’s allergies and have been more informative and helpful than many others. In fact, I think the team suggested that he may have an allergy in the first place, which prompted me to take him to the GP to be assessed.
I had had concerns that his nappies were not being changed frequently enough and I do appreciate that with many children it can be difficult to keep track of. We’ve not had any problems since I raised this as a concern so I’m glad to see that this has improved.

My daughter was not happy about going to nursery but she eased into Banana Moon within a few days and was extremely happy there. There is always a cheerful reception on entering, the meals are healthy and delicious and reformed my very fussy eater! They have a lovely nurturing routine that makes the children feel safe and know what to expect. The staff are engaging and every day brings a new learning activity and another adventure. My daughter still refers to it as ‘my Banana Moon’ even now she has started school and I will be eternally grateful for the wonderful service they provided.

Having had a previous bad experience at another nursery, we were very concerned about trusting another nursery with our little one.
Banana Moon is absolutely amazing, the setting is fantastic, open, welcoming, friendly, inviting… the list is endless. We couldn’t be happier or recommend this nursery enough.
The staff are caring, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very welcoming. The recent parents evening was informative with lots of detail and reassurance. It really shows how much they care about what they do, the children and the nursery itself.
The support is all-round first-class, for parents and for the children.

My son has been attending Banana Moon for the past 3 years, and he has come on leaps and bounds, I think this is in part down to the nursery and it’s staff. Everyone there is helpful and kind, and my son absolutely adores the place and the people. He goes to school in September and I know he will miss it dearly.
If any parent within the area is looking for a creche, I cannot recommend Banana Moon highly enough. Outstanding in all facets.

The staff at this nursery are wonderful! They have been so accommodating from when we first started and throughout lockdown. The communication has been outstanding with the pandemic and all the changes this year. Being a first-time single parent, I was anxious about choosing the right nursery for my daughter, as I expect most parents are. I am so relieved in the decision I made and just want to give the team the credit they deserve for all their hard work and dedication. Thank you.
