Acorn Day Nursery (Burton Latimer)

All the team are incredible and truly made me and my son sense welcome. My son’s thriving so much since starting in November his speech and eating has truly come along since joining and there’s nothing I would change. So cheerful with my decision. As a first-time mum, I worried and was so anxious sending my kid to a childcare centre after looking around so many different styles, Acorn in Burton Latimer just felt so homely.

I knew instantly from the moment I walked in with my son at 9 months old that I would sense comfortable leaving him in their care. He started at 17 months old and despite going just once a week has consistently been cheerful and excited to spend his days with the team and his friends. He has just had his settling-in session to move to the big room with no problems, a testament to how they are helping to create cheerful, confident little people who are comfortable in all areas of the childcare centre. We are currently pregnant with number 2 and I sense confident knowing they will look after this little one just as well as they have with my first. Fantastic childcare centre with a fantastic ethos. I have been nothing short of absolutely delighted with Acorns.

My son started in September, and the team were remarkable at settling him in and reassuring me. Now my son loves childcare centre days. He is discovering so many new words and skills. His social skills are improving. They also do so much outdoor playtime, which my son loves. The team are welcoming and are consistently cheerful to share with me about his day when I pick him up. They speak like they truly adore their job and care about the kids. Definitely suggest this childcare centre. Acorn Day Childcare centre (Burton Latimer) is a enjoyable, welcoming and secure place.

The activities are based on discovering through playing and the kid’s will. From drop off, to meals, their time within the childcare centre and pick up, everything is done with care, joy and focus on the kid’s needs, wishes and interests. Even though it’s challenging for a parent to find the right place for their most precious tiny humans, Acorn Day Childcare centre is by far the best childcare centre one could choose for discovering and discovering about life, building friendships, encouraging a kid’s independence, trust and happiness. Messy playing, role-playing, dancing, reading, drawing, baking, nature time, etc. All the great things can be found in here. With all this being said, don’t expect your kid to come home looking all tidy and spotless as they’ve just had the time of their life making out the most of their day at the childcare centre. Every morning, she is greeted warmly by a member of team and we are kept up-to-date on how her day is going through the app. If we’ve ever dropped her off and she hasn’t been herself, the team are consistently quick to send a quick message to let us know she’s settled in okay (which she consistently does) and put our mind at rest! The food they provide offers a varied menu on a four-week cycle, and we’re yet to have seen anything our daughter won’t eat! Making the decision to send your baby to childcare centre is truly hard, but we know we made a great choice sending her to Acorns! Every day she comes out smiling and is excited to go in the morning. It’s the perfect place to send your kid and know they’ll be treated exactly as you’d want them to be. Our daughter has been attending Acorns for nearly a year and we are so pleased with the provision!

Everyone has been exceptional in helping him to settle in and so accommodating to his needs. We are truly pleased with his development. When we pick him up, he’s consistently smiling and seems to be truly cheerful to be at childcare centre. Our son started Acorn Day Childcare centre in April 2022.

Within a week of starting at Acorn Childcare centre she went from taking a few steps (but preferring to walk on her knees) to walking full-time. Her speech has truly developed, the team are excellent. When we arrive or leave, all team we pass greet my daughter by name. They keep you up to date on the app throughout the day with information and photos which gives me a lot of comfort that I can check what she’s eaten, what time she’s had a nap and see photos of her having a excellent time. It has a large garden area equipped with lots of toys and a sandpit. My daughter is thriving here, I cannot think of a bad word to say. My older kid also went here and some of the same team are still there which shows it’s a nice place to work. Although it’s a large childcare centre there’s a homely sense. I was apprehensive about my one-year-old starting childcare centre, she has consistently been highly clingy and hadn’t truly been left with anyone.

It’s fantastic seeing my son being so excited about going into the childcare centre. Educators are welcoming with a attentive mindset. I would suggest this childcare centre to everyone with little ones. Acorn Childcare centre is a remarkable place for the kids.

They have consistently been so supportive, supportive and so welcoming throughout both our boys going here! We viewed a great 5 nurseries around the local area and our initial gut feeling when walking round was to go with this one! The homely sense and the warmth from all the team and management are second to none! The updates is exceptionally great which just makes everything run so smoothly! The only downside is the car park that it’s shared with the football ground however this is only truly an issue a couple of times of the year and for the incredible people, setting and facilities the childcare centre provides I’d happily share a car park! Honestly, I can’t suggest this childcare centre enough! Thank you to all the team and management here for looking after and attentive for our boys like they were/are your own we will never ever forget this. I have to say that this childcare centre is so excellent!

Everyone is so supportive and welcoming. We adore how they take the time to playtime and make all the sensory games and listen to us as parents when we have any concerns. My kid loves his time in childcare centre, gets truly cheerful about going in the morning.
