Abbot's Hill Day Nursery & Pre-School

We moved our daughter from her previous setting as I just wasn’t happy with the structure in place for ‘learning and development’. Choosing Abbots Hill Day Nursery was by far the best decision we made. Our girl, who has been in stepping up for almost a year, has come leaps and bounds and the staff are always welcoming and always smiling. We were ecstatic when a space became available for our son to join footsteps and at drop off he walks in and goes about his nursery day as if it’s his second home so I know he is happy there. The nursery management are also a fantastic team and again always available to help with any questions/ advice needed. Being able to see how my children spend their day and how they are developing according to the EYFS via the online app is also a huge plus and allows us to focus on specific areas at home. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

We are absolutely thrilled with how well our daughter has settled in to Abbot’s Hill Nursery. The staff are all wonderful and always happy to see her, the nursery itself is always spotless and we only ever get smiles from our daughter when dropping her off. We love receiving updates on her progress and are so pleased with how far she has come along since she started. The communication with parents is great and we are encouraged to tell the staff what she has been doing at the weekends so they can talk to her about her experiences and practice any new achievements when going back on Monday. The meals provided by the lovely cook are always nutritious and healthy, security is good and the staff clearly enjoy their roles. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend every aspect of Abbot’s Hill Nursery!

I am the grandfather of a child at this nursery and deliver and collect him on a regular basis.
I have always found the staff extremely professional, highly customer focused and willing to offer help and advice. They are all to a person constantly thinking and working for the best interests of the children in their care.
I particularly like and appreciate the time they set aside at collection time to discuss with each parent/relative face to face the activities, mood, eating behaviour and support offered that day or session. This is further supported and supplied with a hand over sheet.
I can honestly say that every member of staff and management I have met or spoken to are highly professional in their approach to child care.
The site itself is, without doubt, the best-equipped nursery I have come across.
I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

This is a wonderful nursery and we couldn’t recommend it more highly. Our daughter has thrived in this caring and nurturing environment. The staff are so friendly and kind, always have time and work collaboratively with us as parents.
Not once has our daughter not wanted to go to nursery and she speaks so excitedly about her day when we pick her up.

The staff at Abbot’s Hill Nursery are very professional and caring towards all the children. They always offer a range of activities for the children each day and I’m continually pleased with how attentive they are to the children. I’m so pleased my son attends Abbot’s Hill nursery as he’s always super happy! I’ve been particularly impressed with how well the nursery has dealt with the pandemic this last year, constantly reviewing policy and adapting where needed but always putting the safety of children and parents first!

Our son has attended Abbot’s Hill nursery since he was a year old. Our experience of the nursery has been superb and our son has thrived, both physically and emotionally, in the nurturing and stimulating environment created by the staff. We were particularly impressed at the way in which the nursery has responded to the challenges caused by the pandemic and have been reassured throughout by the precautions taken to keep everyone healthy. I would not hesitate in recommending the nursery to others or sending other children there.

My daughter joined Abbot’s Hill nursery a few months ago after we moved to the area and comes home so happy, talking about her fun day. The staff are superb, they have got to know our daughter so quickly, their communication is great – they will call about any concerns, email response is very speedy, and they give a nice update at the end of the day. Our daughter speaks so fondly of her key worker (our extended family even know about her). The staff have picked up on development areas well, and that one on one advice and attention is impressive when they are managing many children. I cannot recommend Abbot’s Hill nursery enough, the play activities are varied and the children go for walks in the impressive grounds. The picture updates during the week are so wonderful.
