Merryvale Day Nursery

Her days are filled with activities that I continue at home. The app is really insightful. All the team at Merryvale are very polite, welcoming and informative. Overall, it’s a remarkable place to send my kid. I adore the newsletters; they are really useful and correlate to things happening during the calendar year, involving games and fancy dress. My little one has excellent relationships with her peers and overall, is encouraged and supported and has made incredible friends. My little one thoroughly enjoys childcare centre and has a exceptional discovering journey.

As soon as that door opens, she runs in. The team are so welcoming, and you can see they really care about the kids! They use an app to keep you updated on what they have been doing, eating/drinking and keeping you informed on toileting, which is so lovely during the day at work! My daughter loves going to Merryvale!

We are in week 2 of attendance at childcare centre, and due to Covid-19 restricted from inside areas of childcare centre, but I will answer based on settling in sessions and my initial viewing. Welcoming, welcoming and attentive team.

Team are approachable and try to encourage family involvement as much as possible. My kid has settled in well since the age of one, made some fantastic friends, and our second will be starting there shortly. Would suggest it as a nice, local childcare centre. Lovely childcare centre.

The ladies are so lovely when he was upset the first couple of weeks whilst he was getting used to it. His speech has come on leaps and bounds and they provide a range of different foods and snacks. I adore how they take them out to places like the forest, the library or even just for little walks around the block. They have a fantastic outdoor space which my boy enjoys also. He absolutely adores his keyworker. She and the other ladies are phenomenal with the kids and make sure they’re consistently discovering through playtime. I’d suggest this childcare centre to everyone! My son loves coming to childcare centre.

Team are all very pleasant and consistently willing to help. They have a varied menu which is on display in the entrance and they do a lot of activities which are updated on the app. My little girl comes home every day spotless and tidy, we can definitely see a difference in development since starting here and she’s so cheerful. It’s nice that there’s consistently the same team there, there isn’t a high team turnover which has been reassuring to us. She has an outstanding key worker who we have excellent updates with. Never had any complaints with the care we’ve received. Team are alert with regards to safeguarding the kids and have appropriate procedures in place. The manager is consistently approachable and on the end of the phone, as is another member of team.
My only very slight concern is that it feels it’s becoming corporate as they have a few nurseries now. We chose Merryvale as it had a homely sense, we really hope that’s not lost. My little girl has been here for a few months now.

The childcare centre provides lots of free settling sessions to help our kid get used to the idea of being with new people and they are now very settled. They also use an app which allows us to track our kid’s development throughout the day. Our kid comes home cheerful and developing well. My only feedback would be if the kids could spend more time in the garden or doing outdoor activities too. We are very pleased with the care the childcare centre has provided to our kid.

My kids adore the childcare centre and consistently have lots of enjoyable. Plenty of activities for them to do.
The team consistently listen to me as a parent if I have ever raised a concern and are consistently excellent with any medical issues my kids have had. Both my kids have or are attending Merryvale Day Childcare centre and they are a exceptional childcare centre and the team are fantastic.

Team are welcoming and have strong bonds with kids. Every day he has exciting new organised activities that can be messy, painting, slime, playtime-doh, sand etc. Kids are encouraged to playtime outside in all weather and explore nature. Kids are taken on organised trips to the library, park, postbox, and on the bus to local woods. I adore the online parent diaries that show photos of his day and notes from team. I am confident my kid is cheerful and secure here; he is well cared for and well fed, and he doesn’t come home hungry, which is why we moved from his previous childcare setting. Strongly suggest. My son started in this childcare centre 10 months ago, and we are very cheerful.
