Happy Days Nursery & Preschool - Thornbury

He settled highly quickly, having been with a childminder, I wasn’t sure how he would take to it. He formed a bond with one of the team initially, and that truly helped.
All the team in the room are engaging when we do drop off and pick up, and my son speaks fondly of them. We get a daily sheet and monthly update pack, so we know what he is enjoying playing with/reading and his friends. He enjoys the range of activities and is truly thriving since starting there. They have recently supported us with potty training and were flexible with how we wanted to do it, even providing a daily sheet.
I adore that there is an onsite cook and that things are made fresh on the premises. The management team are highly approachable, welcoming and consistently make themselves available for questions, calls and are visible. I cannot say enough great things; we are so cheerful that our son is so well cared for and cheerful to go. My son started in August 2020, and it has been the best decision to send him to Cheerful Days.

We visited 3 nurseries in the area when we were choosing and were blown away with the professionalism, cleanliness, and friendliness of the team at Cheerful Days Thornbury. Our son has come on leaps and bounds since attending, is more sociable than we could have ever asked for, and is growing in independence daily. His key worker genuinely cares about him, and we couldn’t be happier with how he is doing. We cannot suggest enough! Our son has been attending one day a week for around 8 months now.

The team are truly lovely, and my son has flourished under their care. Even during the difficulties of the last year, when my son was struggling with social interaction a little, team picked up on it swiftly and helped put a plan in place to help him, which has worked well.
I sense like he is being truly well prepared for school, and the childcare centre is incredibly spotless and well managed, which can’t be said for all nurseries! So pleased my son is cheerful, secure and well cared for, and whenever I have had any queries or concerns, these have been dealt with swiftly and professionally. I’m truly cheerful our son attends Cheerful Days, he loves childcare centre days!

COVID hit and we had a few months at home childcare centre we’re in regular contact with home discovering. Updates is outstanding and despite not being able to currently go in the building the team updates at the drop off and pick up are excellent. Well done Cheerful Days you’ve adapted to things brilliantly whilst still offering excellent care and discovering opportunities. Cheerful Days have been remarkable with my youngest who truly struggled to settle in childcare centre, moving rooms just after she turned two was traumatic for her but childcare centre were incredible with many settling sessions.

The team are all so welcoming and welcoming, and no request is too much for them; they will do all they can to assistance you and your kid. The activities and interactions they provide are age-appropriate, stimulating and challenging; my son has made excellent strides in his development since joining the childcare centre. My son’s key person has a inviting and upbeat personality, and my son has a excellent relationship with her, he happily goes to her in the morning and takes his time coming back when I collect. Thanks guys for all your hard work! My son has been attending Cheerful Days for 6-months, and I could not be happier with the care he receives!

They are aware of what is needed to keep him secure and secure at times of distress. They have liaised with us with any concerns and how they want to adapt things to help suit his needs. Our son runs into childcare centre and is loved by all the team.

His key worker shows such warmth and understanding, especially as he can be quite sensitive. All of the team are welcoming, supportive and will consistently go the extra mile. He eats better there than he does at home which speaks volumes! They handled the last year brilliantly and we are so grateful for everything they have done to keep everyone secure. They have supported us well with potty training and are flexible and patient. Wouldn’t hesitate to suggest it! Our son attended a childcare centre previously and we are so cheerful that we moved him.

So, when we moved to Thornbury, we decided without hesitation to place our daughter in the local Cheerful Days Childcare centre. She absolutely loved it! Never cried at drop-offs, even with mummy, never upset, on the contrary consistently enthusiastic of all the exciting activities they do every day and all the friends she has made. The setting is spotless and spacious, lots of light in every room. The childcare centre personnel is so lovely, consistently positive and smiling. I cannot suggest this childcare centre enough. We had our older son and younger daughter attending another Cheerful Days setting in the past and were so pleased with their approach and the way they adapt it to each kid.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic my son has struggled with not seeing family and friends. The childcare centre has provided some normality for him, allowing him to playtime with others in a secure setting. Cheerful Days Childcare centre & Preschool – Thornbury communicated with me throughout the pandemic and the updates has been faultless. I have received regular email updates on activities that the kids have taken part in and updates in policies for reporting Covid-19 symptoms. I can rest assure that my son is being well looked after in an setting he loves. Thank you to all team! As an NHS worker, I am grateful for all you do to enable me to continue working. My son loves going to childcare centre.

Every week my daughters development improves after being at childcare centre, as she’s discovering so much and having loads of enjoyable. Exceptional childcare centre which my daughter loves going to, she has settled in so well with the help of her key worker and during these difficult circumstances there have been no problems whatsoever.
