Muddy Monkies Downwood Vineyard

My son started there when he was two and is now getting ready to go off to school in September, and the development he has made and continues to make daily is all down to the fantastic, attentive and supportive team. The team go above and beyond to ensure that my son is well cared for and engaged in activities he loves. The morning and afternoon handovers are extremely thorough, and I get a really great insight into my son’s day, which is exceptional. As we approach my son’s last term with Muddy Monkies, I would just like to say an enormous thank you for being such a remarkable attachment focused setting, and thank you for bringing out the absolute best in him. I have absolutely nothing but praise for Muddy Monkies Downwood Vineyard!

The team are all lovely and assistance kids to find their own characters and personalities. Fantastic setting – allowing kids to be kids, exploring and having enjoyable along with growing their self‑assurance.

While we’re excited for the new chapter, we’re really sad she won’t be off to the woods for her days anymore. The staffing is now settled and all the team are exceptional, they know the kids really well and provide outstanding care. The handovers at the end of the day are thorough. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the setting but from what we saw at the initial visit and the photos we get through “baby’s days” the setting looks incredible, even on dreary days there’s lots of space to shelter and the yurt to get cosy. Adore the hammocks in the spring/summer, our little one actually sleeps here (doesn’t nap at home ever!). It’s everything we wanted in a childcare facility and we wouldn’t change it, it beats a standard childcare centre/preschool hands down. We’d highly suggest forest school and Muddy Monkies. Our little one has been going to Muddy Monkies Downwood Vineyard since she was 2, and she’s off to school this September.

The team are incredibly attentive and dedicated to the well being of the kids. All three of my sons adore to spend the day at Muddy Monkies Downwood Vineyard. The holiday club caters for all ages and they have consistently created something fantastic out of wood or clay to bring home with them! I am confident that my youngest is now ready to begin school in September with all of the social and practical skills that he needs. It would be impossible to find a better setting for your kid to grow, develop and learn.

Her self‑assurance has grown tremendously since she started last September. It is lovely to see her playing games at home that reflect activities that she does while at forest school. It’s lovely hearing all of the new songs that she is discovering and her stories of what she has been doing each time. We adore that she gets to spend so much time outside and has a remarkable time doing it. It is rare that a week goes by where we don’t comment to each other about how pleased we are with the decision to send our daughter to Muddy Monkies. Our daughter has a remarkable time at Muddy Monkies.

My middle kid attended as a pre-schooler, my youngest from childcare centre age and both oldest now still attend after school and during school holidays. My only regret is that Muddy Monkies did not exist when my oldest went to childcare centre/pre-school. I would not trust anyone else with my kids, the bond that the Muddy Monkies team create with their kids is lovely, my kids still talk about them like they would a loving auntie. Equally, the skills and self self‑assurance that the kids gain from this fantastic setting are second to none. I would highly suggest Muddy Monkies to absolutely anyone. My three kids have all attended Muddy Monkies Downwood Vineyard since they first opened.

The team are all super welcoming and compassionate and have consistently been very responsive to any concerns or questions I’ve ever had.
I sense very secure in the knowledge that my son is well looked after at Muddy Monkies and is secure, understood and thriving. I can’t praise Muddy Monkies enough, my son absolutely loves coming and has really grown in self‑assurance since he began attending.

All the team went out of their way to accommodate us and give him the assistance, care and reassurance that he needed in such unsettling times.

The team are all incredibly compassionate, considerate and hard-working. They take the time to listen to any concerns and issues and will go out of their way to help resolve them by working alongside us.

Our son loves the outdoor setting and all the team and kids. Muddy Monkies has definitely brought the best out in him and he’s discovering and developing each day he attends. We have come to adore hearing all about his day and we wouldn’t want to send him to any other childcare centre, it’s the perfect setting for our outdoor-loving son. Our son started at Muddy Monkies in January 2022, we joined the setting at a very upsetting time for our family.

They are lovely and very expert and I felt really comfortable leaving my kids in there care. They keep asking when they can go again. My 4 year old and 8 year old went here 1 day a week during the summer holiday and both absolutely loved it, they had enjoyable, made new friends and tried different activities!

The setting is incredible, secure and enjoyable. The team give a inviting welcome every time we attend. Excellent variety of healthy food for lunch and snack time. My kids are so cheerful to go in and so cheerful when I pick them up because they’ve had such a great day. Muddy Monkies Downwood Vineyard teaches life skills that you won’t get in many other settings at such an early age. Very cheerful with Muddy Monkies overall. Absolutely outstanding care provider.
