Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Avon Heath

Kids Love Nature at Avon Heath is genuinely the MOST amazing childcare setting I could wish for. Each nursery staff genuinely gives 100% every day, we’re greeted with enthusiasm, cheer and we see how they care for children with love, patience and kindness as if they were their own children – which is why I call them nursery mummies – because my son feels like he is being cared for by his family, not ‘staff’. One time as he left nursery he shouted ‘I love you ‘ to one of the ‘nursery mummies’. My son talks joyfully about his nursery carers as he does about his friends – and having been to other nurseries this is the first time he has done so!
Kids Love Nature at Avon Heath also has chickens, they grow their own vegetables and do lots of creative arts and crafts as well as go on ranger walks into the forest. My son is so happy there that we delayed school so he could stay there until he turns 5.

My son has been attending Kids Love Nature for nearly 2 years and my daughter has just started. We have found the nursery such a wonderful experience. It has lots of outdoor space to enjoy, rain or shine. The staff are amazing and the activities are all nature-based so they learn lots about the world around them, along with how to write and count through play. We love the imagination that our son has developed through independent play and how obsessed he is with water, bugs and insects. He surprises us every day with new songs he’s sung or games he’s played. This really is a wonderful nursery and we can’t wait to watch our little girl develop the same way our son has.

Avon Heath nursery is amazing, the staff are always there to give my child a lovely welcome. She goes in so so happy and comes out the same, I always have feedback of how her day was who she played with. It’s so nice to also get pictures through the tapestry app to see what she is up to and the fun she is having.
All the staff go above and beyond, her key worker is outstanding and always there for my daughter when she wants cuddles, playing silly games etc.
Cannot recommend this nursery any higher than I already do.

I don’t have enough space to go through every aspect on how amazing this nursery has been for me and my child. He loved it the second he walked in. The area outside is a child’s dream and he enjoys every second he is there, mud play, bikes, sand and even their own chickens! My son struggled to settle after the months off last year but the staff were all amazing and encouraged him to go in with them and always there with a smile on their faces. He comes out of nursery every time to tell me how much fun he’s had that day, either on a ranger walk discovering the heath lands, making camp fires or playing with his friends. The activities they do each day are amazing and he has experienced so many things at nursery that he may have never at a playschool based inside. I love that he is ready for the next steps of going to school and knows how to do all the things required for the classroom like sitting and listening or going to the toilet independently! He would stay here forever if he could.

Both my children have attended this nursery, with my 2 year old currently attending. Excellent nursery, staff are so friendly and welcoming and really work hard on connecting with the children to make them feel safe and happy. The range of activities available to the children daily is like no other and my son loves going into nursery and exploring the setting and the great outdoors on the ranger walks. Highly recommend, such a unique experience for children, and feel so lucky to have my children attend this nursery!

My daughter joined Kids Love Nature Kindergarten in April 2021, having spent lockdown at home, and as a parent, I was super nervous about how my daughter would adapt to a new setting and new faces and I know my daughter was anxious about being left. The team at Avon Heath couldn’t have done more to support us and we have very open communication ongoing. The setting is so unique and explorative and the ranger walks and craft time is superb. My daughter really enjoys her time with Kids Love Nature and I love the regular photos and updates and curriculum benchmarks I get sent on the parent app which really showcase the wonderful environment my daughter is learning in. I cannot recommend the setting and staff enough.

We chose Kids Love Nature as we believe fostering a love of the outdoors is so important for children and the ethos for supporting development fits with our parenting style. We have not been disappointed. It’s a beautiful setting with incredible staff who genuinely love and nurture the children. The free flow style really suits our son and allows him to follow his interests and learn through play and exploration. The communication is excellent and we always feel very comfortable talking to staff about anything our son is struggling with and they really do go above and beyond to offer guidance and reassurance. Food is freshly prepared, the ranger activities are a major hit and our son loves attending. My only advice, prepare for clothes to get covered in paint and mud … as they should.

My son went here for 2-3 years, now my daughter attends. What an experience for them in nature, ranger walks and they are always doing so many activities. The team are lovely and informative of anything to be aware of with the children 11/10!

I have no doubt that since my son started here at Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Avon Heath he has flourished. The staff are so caring and the communication is excellent. All staff are very approachable and it is clear that they all love working there. The outdoor space is second to none as well as the offering of ranger walks on the heath. Our son surprises us every day with skills or songs he has learnt or the big smiles he has when talking about the friendships he has made. This really is a fantastic nursery and I couldn’t imagine a better start for him.

I honestly cannot recommend Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Avon Heath highly enough for their knowledge, educational/early years expertise and overall standard of care and teaching. My child has been with the nursery since she turned two and as a four-and-a-half-year-old now, they have honestly contributed so much in shaping her into the articulate, emotionally intelligent, empathetic and all-round wholesome and fun little person she has become today. The teaching staff are each truly brilliant within their own fields. Thank you from the bottom of my and my family’s hearts for all you do.
