June 5, 2018 at 12:00 amOur two boys love their nursery and that is probably the best endorsement! They learn new skills all the time and whenever we visit they are fully involved in all activities in both age sections.
The staff clearly are and have lovely relationships with all the children. The house and grounds have had extensive refurbishment and this has been managed very well with minimal disruption.
Overall we’re very happy with our choice to come to Manor House.

June 13, 2018 at 12:00 amWe are blown away by the skills, expertise and confidence of all the staff at Manor House Nursery. They have managed my little boy’s transition into their setting (from a childminder) expertly and have welcomed our family into the nursery community. We are so pleased that our son attends Manor House Nursery and would not hesitate to recommend this setting to any other family. (And our son raves about the food and he’s hard to please).

July 17, 2018 at 12:00 amMy son has attended since March 2018. He settled in well thanks to the staff and now thoroughly enjoys his time there. It is wonderful to know he is outside every day but always with enough suncream, a hat and not in the hottest parts of the day. I’ve been particularly impressed with the nursery’s efforts regarding my sons dairy intolerance. He still has a varied healthy diet which is excellent. All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and really know each child well. The day to day running is smooth and slick and must be very well organised.
Five stars all round!

February 18, 2019 at 12:00 amI couldn’t be happier with the choice of Manor House Nursery. Staff are well trained and highly enthusiastic. They make sure both children and parents feel like they are home there. My daughter goes in happily every time.

May 29, 2019 at 12:00 amI am very happy with Manor House Nursery and the care they have for my daughter. She is very happy and loves it there, especially the garden. Maybe a few more different activities or some music and dancing would improve it.

June 17, 2019 at 12:00 amMy son has settled into Manor House extremely well. Thanks to every member of staff. They are friendly, supportive, kind and have made it very easy for us. The nursery is clean well maintained with constantly changing areas for the children to explore. They have approached our starting very gently, taking on board and considering exactly what my son needs and what stage he is at. He loves his days at nursery and I couldn’t be happier seeing him at Manor House.

October 15, 2019 at 12:00 amAn amazing approach to childcare, very empowering for children, our little one is really happy to be there. Carers seem really committed to making every child happy.
The downside is the business side of the nursery as they seem stuck in time and not very responsive, very inflexible.

November 20, 2019 at 12:00 amOur daughter has been attending the nursery for a year now and she loved every minute. The staff are dedicated to enhancing the children’s learning using the curiosity approach. The learning, environment and activities are engaging and child-led. They encourage imagination and are committed to providing a varied and creative atmosphere. We could not have asked for a better-suited nursery for our daughter.

March 8, 2021 at 12:00 amSome of the best and some of the worst characteristics of nursery combined in one. Carers are lovely and dedicated but no understanding of family needs whatsoever. So far we requested additional sessions nine times when unforeseen circumstances happened (including very serious situations like a death in the family) but were never accommodated for even one, even though we offered to pay whatever needed. No flexibility whatsoever nor understanding, so claiming to be “family-oriented” couldn’t be much further from the truth. Our daughter is very happy there, so sad they don’t want to go out of their comfort zone even slightest to help out when needed.

March 11, 2021 at 12:00 amOur son (2) and daughter (4) attend Manor House Nursery and absolutely love it. The staff are friendly, caring and extremely committed to providing a fun and safe learning environment. The garden is fantastic and it’s great to know the children spend lots of time outside as well. The staff encourage the children to explore the world and empower them to investigate the things that interest them. For example, during lockdown, our daughter wrote a letter to her grandparents while at nursery and asked if she could post it. After calling us to check it was OK, she went with the managers to the local shop to buy stamps and post the letter. She was so excited to tell us all about it and it was lovely to see how the staff supported her. Both children are always really happy when we collect them and even ask to go to nursery on days they don’t attend! If that isn’t a good recommendation, then I don’t know what is! We are very pleased with our choice of nursery and would highly recommend it.

March 11, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter currently attends Manor House and she loves it there. A wide range of activities are provided every day based on her interests. A great variety of food is cooked freshly every day on site. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The management team are very approachable and deal with everything extremely quickly and professionally, always being able to go the extra mile to help. Moving my daughter from another local nursery to Manor House was the best move we could have ever made for her.

March 19, 2021 at 12:00 amMy little girl started her settling in sessions with Manor House Nursery in January. Being a ‘lockdown baby’ her transition took a little more time than anticipated. The staff were great with adapting to the needs that my little girl and also myself had, during what was a difficult time. My daughter has well and truly settled in and is thoroughly enjoying her time at nursery. The staff take such great care of her and maintain open communication about her development.

March 19, 2021 at 12:00 amMyself and my partner can not recommend Manor House Nursery highly enough. From day one, we have always felt more than happy to leave our daughter there. The management team and all the staff are very welcoming and friendly and they are always only too happy to help with any questions or queries we have.
The environment and provisions they offer are of a high standard and are regularly changed. Manor House follow the curiosity approach which we love. My daughter has developed so much since starting at Manor House and she loves it there.

May 16, 2022 at 12:00 amThis nursery is unreliable as childcare. I’m sure the staff work very hard despite being pushed to their limits by management. I think my 18m old is having a good time but what’s the point of sending your child to nursery if you don’t know from one day to the next if they will have him. Our child’s place has just been cancelled with just a week and half’s notice! It’s unacceptable and irresponsible of the nursery as I believe they were probably already short staffed when they accepted him just a few months ago. On top of this, I have no real idea of how my boy is really doing at nursery, or what he does with his days. Some of my star ratings I have put as poor, but I don’t actually know because I’ve only been allowed inside the nursery twice, briefly, and never had a review of his care. I know that all nurseries are struggling and staff shortages is a national problem, but unfortunately, Manor House nursery just isn’t coping with these problems. Avoid!

April 11, 2023 at 12:00 amOur daughter (nearly 4) has been attending Manor House since January 2022. Around this time the nursery was struggling, but we feel they’ve made massive efforts to improve in what has been a very difficult recruiting climate. Our daughter absolutely loves attending and has developed a close relationship with her key worker. In the second half of 2022, we’ve really appreciated more updates about what she gets up to via the Famly app, and many more opportunities to join in family activities that Manor House have arranged.
The communication between the nursery and parents has improved massively and we can see how warm, creative and dedicated the staff are. They very sensitively dealt with a difficult patch in our daughter’s behaviour a few months ago. We feel this is a great place to prepare her for school in her last few months of attending.

April 27, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been attending Manor House since 2020 when she had just turned one year old, and we have always been very happy with the levels of support and stimulation she receives at nursery. She always comes out with a spring in her step, full of stories about the things she’s played and learned during her day. A couple of weeks ago, she came home singing all the words to two new songs she’d learned just that day, which I thought was amazing!
Things were quite challenging a few months ago with staffing issues meaning that our daughter sometimes wasn’t able to attend, but things have really turned around in the last few months and that hasn’t been the case for a long time now. Similarly, there has been a real improvement in communication and visibility levels, especially with the introduction of the app.
Our second daughter will be turning one year old later this year, and we are very much looking forward to introducing her to the Manor House family as well.

May 31, 2023 at 12:00 amManor House is a great nursery. The staff are wonderful, despite the tough times they have been through. The new manager is knowledgeable, skilled and has done a lot of work to turn the nursery around (after issues due to Covid and staffing problems).
The owner is a kind and tolerant person. I had issues with getting my child into the nursery and ensuring that there was a place for him, but they were resolved in a professional and friendly way, despite all the stress management were under at the time.
The carers are fantastic. They love and look after the children so well. My son loves going to nursery, he doesn’t want to leave. He adores his carers and I’m happy knowing he has a fantastic time every day. The staff call to ask if they may do things like take the kids to the park or to notify us if they have a temperature etc. so we are not caught unaware.
