Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood

I love this nursery very much, my daughter came here and thrived and my son is in here now and is getting on so well, his speech has improved so much! He also struggles with sharing and they are teaching him so well how to share would definitely recommend this nursery.

My daughter has learnt so much at Curious Hedgehogs. We were really impressed from the visiting day back in July 2018, not only did they remember my daughter’s name which other nurseries couldn’t, we felt welcomed. My daughter is excited every time she has to go to “school” and enjoys her experience thoroughly. As a parent we get a good insight into how they did that day, also tells me about her day. We love the observations we get weekly as we can see my daughter’s progress and work with her at home to keep the learning going.

It is hard to summarise and put into words how wonderful Curious Hedgehogs is! My daughters both attend for two mornings a week and absolutely love it.
Every single member of staff is always smiling, such a simple thing but it speaks volumes. They are clearly enjoying their jobs, which means my daughters spend their time away from home surrounded by happy people.
One of my daughters has some additional needs, and again I can’t praise Curious Hedgehogs enough for their flexibility and understanding with her. Her keyworker makes her feel like she is amazing and genuinely cared for, which has led to a huge increase in her confidence.
Curious Hedgehogs feels like a large family, all the staff seem to know all the children, and the setting is so homely, the activities are well thought out and creative.
Finally, I believe that the fact the Manager is frequently working within the rooms with the children can only ever have a very positive impact on both the children and staff.

Brilliant nursery with plenty of exploration play. My daughter loves it and always comes out happy. Most meals are very good, though the tea time options aren’t always great being mainly sandwiches or wraps and tea is too early at 15:30pm. Apart from that, it’s brilliant. The staff are all caring, kind, attentive and are always happy to chat if I have any questions. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

So glad our child attends this nursery. Every time we drop them off we know they are in safe hands and will have fun while learning life long lessons. So much is included compared to what other nurseries offer. All the staff are amazing. They are caring, attentive and very professional. During this pandemic they have given us a sense of ‘normal’ which the little ones need. Well done team, be proud of what you do.

My son has been attending Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood since January 2021 and started when he was nine months old. We have nothing but amazing things to say about all aspects of the nursery. Luckily he settled in well but I think this has a lot to do with the staff that have settled him. Having come from a childcare background myself I was very anxious about sending him to a nursery but I am so pleased I have! The communication is great, staff are very welcoming and caring and the manager is approachable and always seems happy to answer any queries. My son has developed so much since attending and the staff have got to know him so well in such a short time. I would honestly recommend it to anyone.

The staff are very caring and understanding. My son went through a couple of weeks where he didn’t want to go but they soon turned it around and now he runs in the door as soon as it opens. I can’t thank the staff here enough, with how they have worked through all the lockdown’s and continued to let the children have a normal life as possible.

There is a wonderful feel to the nursery and the ‘curiosity approach’ makes it a very charming place to play and learn. The staff are very kind and helpful. The perfect size of the nursery enables a personal relationship between children, staff and parents. The staff know the children’s names and greet them encouragingly. I am proud that my son has a place at Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood and that he is getting such a wonderful start to his development. I highly recommend.

Since attending this nursery my son has really come on leaps and bounds, I have noticed a huge difference in his confidence and speech. The staff are amazing with him and so friendly. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

My child has been going to the nursery for nearly two years and has thrived there. The nursery staff are wonderful and clearly know my child well, they always take an interest in her and also me and seem genuinely interested in what we have been up to and they know her inside and outside and support me with her behaviour and her development. She eats better at nursery and enjoys being with her friends. I really feel like they are family to my daughter and we would be lost without them.
