Little Lancing Day Nursery & Forest School

The different activities each week are excellent and cooking school and forest school are particular favourites. When my son started he was a fussy eater but now eats a wide variety of food and loves the food at childcare centre. We adore that it is fresh and prepared on-site. Updates between childcare centre and home is remarkable being able to see snippets of his discovering via the app is also excellent. My son settled so well into childcare centre thanks to the fantastic team who took the time to get to know him.

The team have been excellent and helping him settle when he joined, they take him out as much as they can and offer a wide range of activities to keep him active throughout the day. We can honestly say he loves coming to Little Lancing We are so pleased we chose this childcare centre for our son.

We cannot thank the team enough for settling him in so well. All of the team are remarkable with him, and they keep you informed of everything that is done throughout the day. I cannot suggest this childcare centre enough! My son truly enjoys it at Little Lancing.

It’s consistently so spotless and the team are fantastic. The Key Worker is so compassionate and patient. Could not be happier. I have no anxiety about leaving my baby there. From the moment we had our first visit to Little Lancing we knew it was perfect for us and our baby.

However, having spoken to childcare centre workers had emails and visited for settling sessions I immediately felt at ease.
The settling in sessions were excellent, a great opportunity for me to see where my daughter would be spending her day, meeting some of the childcare centre workers and seeing how they operated. Lots of variety and with the app, we get to see how her days are going and how she developing.
From the first settling session, my little girl felt relaxed and I was able to leave her for the remaining settling sessions.
It took a couple of months for my little girl to run into childcare centre carefree with a excellent big smile, however, she only attends 2 days a week. Whenever we drive past childcare centre she now shouts “Yay” even if we aren’t heading to childcare centre on that day. There have been days she hasn’t wanted to come home and wanted to go back to the childcare centre.
I am so pleased we picked Little Lancing. My little girl started Little Lancing in June, I was highly anxious and apprehensive with the COVID-19 situation.

When it’s a childcare centre day, he’s sitting down on the stairs demanding his shoes so he can go and see his friends! The team are fantastic, keeping me up to date as to what is my little one is up to all day. I sense that my son is truly flourishing in the childcare centre. Little Lancing Day Childcare centre & Forest School is excellent, my son loves it there.

She has been in two days a week since she was eight months old and team have all been so great throughout. Thank you all highly much. We are so pleased we chose Little Lancing for our daughter as she loves it in Explorers.

The inviting welcome as he goes in, the fact that all the adults knew his name after his first day, the care when he is unwell and the detailed reports at the end of the day, are just some of the outstanding features this setting offers. Our son’s keyworker is incredible and has already built a highly effective relationship with him (and us!). In just a few short weeks, our son has settled fantastically and absolutely loves coming. We can’t thank the team enough for what they do and we are so excited to see what development he makes with them. At Little Lancing, the kids are clearly at the heart of everything they do and we could not be happier with our decision to start there. Starting childcare centre is a daunting time for parents, but from the highly first phone call with one member of team, in particular, to enquire about our son starting at Little Lancing, we knew we had made the right choice.

At the start of lockdown, our son’s usual childcare centre closed and as keyworkers, we had to find a new childcare centre within days. Little Lancing welcomed him in and helped him settle incredibly quickly. They found out his interests so they could have activities out ready for his settling in session that he would want to playtime with. We were amazed how quickly he settled and he was soon pushing us out the door in the morning.
The team at Little Lancing nurtured him and his self‑assurance soared. He had so much enjoyable playing with all the activities and enjoyed his time in the garden. He loved the food provided. The team were proactive about liaising with team from his previous childcare centre and his Speech and Language Therapist to ensure they were providing him with the best possible assistance. They helped prepare him for the transition to school, which he has now successfully done. We are so grateful for the adore and care they gave him, he truly blossomed during his time at Little Lancing. Little Lancing is incredible.

Our 2 year old attends three times a week and every morning, without fail she charges through their front door and can’t wait to spend the day with her new friends and wonderfully outstanding team. The childcare centre has everything you would want and more, from an extensive range of outdoor playtime activities, attentive team, wholesome food, outstanding updates and security to singing, reading & crafting. But most of all Little Lancing excels in kindness, big smiles and positivity! Little Lancing is a five star childcare centre.
