Bright Horizons Oxford Waterways Day Nursery and Preschool

My two kids have been going to this Nursery. Four years ago this Nursery was very different but it has always had good facilities, cleanliness, a good menu of food, and safe.
For almost 2 years we were very disappointed and frustrated with the management and staff but finally, now this nursery come back to be under control.
As management and staff are friendly and professional and that is really helpful for the kids and parents.
The only thing that is not so good is the fee, too expensive for full time.

Fantastic nursery! We now have our third child going to this nursery and have always been very happy. Excellent learning support that really supports my child in his social and also his academic learning. They have also been truly amazing in working around my son’s severe food allergies.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Bright Horizons, Waterway. Our little girl just loves it there and learns so much. All of the staff are enthusiastic and caring and know all of the children. The building and garden are clean and full of fun and educational toys and activities for the kids. We couldn’t recommend the nursery highly enough!

We have a good experience with our 1-year-old who quickly settled in. Happy that we can check her up to date activity from the app. Great menu! Lots of activities. Very friendly staff who are very responsive and easy to communicate with.

My 3-year-old daughter has been attending this nursery since October 2021. I was very nervous about her settling back into nursery life, as not only had she been with me 24/7 since the Pandemic hit, but she has walking difficulties and I was unsure how she would cope with not having 1 to 1 attention. I can honestly say there was no need to be nervous, as every staff member we have dealt with has been amazing. My daughter has thrived, gaining confidence and getting stronger with her walking capabilities. The team have also supported us as parents, reassuring us that she’s in safe hands.

This is a consistently good, professional nursery which has provided great care for each of our children over the last 7 years. Despite the usual issues with staff turnover, which are sector-wide, there are a good number of caring, professional staff who have stayed in post for years and whom we have got to know well and rate very highly. Our daughter struggled to settle as a baby and we’ll always remember their kindness and skill in helping her through that time. The current manager has made some very positive changes, and the nursery is generally well-managed. Communication with parents has improved recently also. The standard of preschool education seems quite high at the moment and there is a good focus on preparation for school – while having fun of course! Most importantly, our children have been happy, loved and safe, and have made many good friends.

Lovely nursery and our little one is enjoying her time there. She is always well taken care of and the staff are just all very professional and caring towards the kids. I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

Great nursery and preschool. Staff are knowledgeable, caring and approachable. My child is always keen to go and enjoys every day. Staff offer a variety of activities to support my child’s development and spend enough time to do the handover at drop off and pick up. The menu always looks good, meals are freshly cooked. Would highly recommend this nursery.

We really love Oxford Waterways Nursery. All the staff are very friendly and our son has clearly bonded so well with them all. He is developing very well and the nursery has been a great help and support with this. They are also very flexible and have supported us well as new parents.
