The Old Station Nursery Filkins

The team are all remarkable and our little one is excited to go each week. We cannot fault the care he has had, team have been so supportive from the highly start! Our little boy started in January following a house move and settled in almost straight away.

So asked the manager for information. It didn’t take long for her to get back in touch with a solution that was a benefit to all, especially our granddaughter. I cannot speak highly enough of all the team at the childcare centre. The adore and care they show our granddaughter is beyond anything we imagined. It is going to be a wrench for her to leave this year, but I will say without a doubt, that they have done plenty to shape the young lady she is growing into. Thank you, Filkins. We wanted to change the days our granddaughter was at childcare centre.

The team in the 2-3y room are super, all are fantastic, loving, attentive and expert women. The atmosphere is welcoming, stimulating to learn and make friends. My kids are excited and involved in the activities that are organized every day. The management, which I found not decisive on essential points, and the App need improvements. The kids spend a long time indoors when it’s hot also due to a lack of shelter from the sun. I asked why there were no parasols outside for kids and team on the hottest days, I was told something new would be bought. Two weeks later, I requested an update, having not seen any new parasols/gazebos, and I was mistaken for someone who dictated what to do. I felt misunderstood and misjudged. Anyway, no solution has been found so far. The information about kids’s nutrition is insufficient and confusing. The snack menu and food should be present daily on the app. Moreover, the app is too little updated and not highly exhaustive. My boys are highly cheerful about this childcare centre.

Such attentive and enjoyable team who take excellent care in discovering the kid as an individual and their interests. Our daughter loves her days there. She has learnt a excellent amount and made a great group of friends. The Old Station Childcare centre Filkins is a fantastic childcare centre and is in a lovely small village setting.

My daughter loves going, the updates we received are well constructed and give us a snapshot of her day. She loves her key worker and talks about her all the time at home, which to me shows the bond that she has created with her. The range of activities they do ranges from numeracy and literacy to Forest school. I can only suggest the childcare centre highly as I think it is a excellent setting for a kid to start their education. The childcare centre is remarkable!

My son goes in cheerful to see his key carer every day and comes out with so many stories of all the activities he’s done though out the day. They are consistently highly quick to respond if I have any questions and are highly accommodating to our needs. We are over the moon with the care we have been given at Filkins Old Station Childcare centre.

My son has been attending for 10 months and he has come on leaps and bounds with his self‑assurance, speech and general social skills. The team are so attentive and nurturing and my son feels highly secure and looked after there. The outdoor space is second to none which suits him well too.
The updates between the childcare centre and parents is excellent and there is consistently a large range of activities on offer. Filkins is a fantastic childcare centre.

Our kid loves the Old Station Childcare centre, which is the main thing, he sometimes enquires at weekends if he can go to childcare centre today.
The childcare centre itself is a fantastic little place with great outdoor and indoor spaces for him to playtime and learn and small enough for him to know all of his little classmates.
The team are fantastic and keep the kids entertained all day, and also teach the kids a excellent deal, most days we get told about what our little boy has learned that day, and what he did.
It will be a sad day for him and us when he has to leave and move on to big school.

Our daughter started in September and has not looked back since. All the team are highly welcoming and welcoming which creates a lovely atmosphere for the kids to be in. Every day there seems to be different enjoyable, creative and educational activities – French, yoga, cooking, forest school. She comes back every day excited to tell me what they have been up to. It is easy to get daily feedback on how she is doing or if anything needs to be flagged up. Although she has a key carer, because it is a small setting, all the team are approachable and supportive. I am watching my daughter grow more confident, discovering new skills, making friends and enjoying herself and it is a joy! Thank you Filkins! I would highly suggest Filkins Childcare centre.

The team are consistently thinking of new and interesting activities to keep discovering fresh and exciting. My daughter is so loved and looked after at The Old Station Childcare centre and they are fantastic at exploring discovering with her in areas that she shows interest in.
