There is a strong family feel at Spring Grove – a sense that as a community we are all working together towards a common goal. The children at Spring Grove clearly love learning and enjoy living, and we pride ourselves that academic rigour and wellbeing go hand-in-hand. We deliberately cultivate an appetite for adventure and a tolerance for error, creating can-do people, who are able to act independently.
Our expert teachers and support staff deliver an ambitious, broad, knowledge- and skills-based curriculum, where there is mastery of subjects from phonics and numeracy to the skills needed on the sports field or in an orchestra. We are research-led, outward-facing and innovative. There is a culture of coaching, and we have exceptional teachers who learn from each other. There is also strong parental engagement (which matters to us) and we are impact measured.
As our pupils grow, they develop into adaptive, responsive and caring people. We see every child in the school as unique and seek to nurture each individual, so that they develop and thrive in every area of their lives.

February 15, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter started at Spring Grove back in September 2020, and we have loved every second! I get regular updates on her progress, the staff are amazing, and much loved by the kiddies! The school is situated in a rural setting and has plenty of outdoors at its disposal, meaning the kids get plenty of time outdoors, rain or shine, which is important to us! I honestly couldn’t fault in any way! Ten stars!

February 16, 2021 at 12:00 amOur son has blossomed at the school since he started in September 2020 as a 2-year-old.
He loves it there and the teachers.
He had so much fun in the snow, and as he is having fun, he is learning so much.
His communication skills are brilliant, we listen in astonishment with all the new phrases he comes out with.
His school lunch looks so nice; I often wonder if I could pop down for lunch, all hot and freshly cooked.

March 9, 2021 at 12:00 amI thoroughly recommend Spring Grove nursery and cannot praise both Teddies and Giraffes enough. They both have a very warm and friendly feel, without compromise on the highest standards of care. I have a child in each class, and they both absolutely love their days at nursery and are always eager to go. It is such a lovely setting, and the outdoor space is wonderful. The staff are so experienced and nurturing, I couldn’t feel more confident leaving my little ones in their care. Communication is fantastic, especially the new online system where you often get to see photos of what your children have been getting up to and how it relates to their development. My son was very excited to tell me all about the fun he had in the snow and how he warmed up afterwards with a hot chocolate!

March 9, 2021 at 12:00 amMy 3-year-old daughter started in Giraffes class in September 2020.
She is enjoying every moment of her time at the nursery.
Initially, when she started, she was having some common toddler fears of new faces and very loud noises.
She quickly overcame these fears in the first few weeks, due to the care and attention of the teachers.
She has grown in confidence and in the way she interacts with the other children. She is excited when getting ready for nursery and is full of stories about the fun she has had during her day.
The mud kitchen is a favourite activity!
There is lots of outdoor space for the children to play and explore.
Waterproofs and boots are kept at the nursery, so the children can be out in all types of weather, which is great!
The staff are diligent to provide regular updates about her day and her development in key skills, via the app platform used by the nursery.
We are very happy we chose this nursery.

July 14, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son has enjoyed his first year at the nursery. He went there aged 2. He is an outdoors boy, and Spring Grove has been able to incorporate learning with his love of the outdoors. He spends every day out whether sunny, raining or snowing. My son started very quiet and unsure, and the nursery has helped him to blossom. He takes pride in everything that he learns and has learnt skills that will assist him later on in life. The teachers work with you at every stage from teaching the children to socialise, manners, developmental skills and basic skills such as toilet training. He is listening and learning about boundaries and what is acceptable. It really is a joyous setting. The food sounds lovely, and the facilities that my child will have as he moves on from French lessons, music lessons to swimming and forest school, sounds like we could not have chosen better.

October 6, 2021 at 12:00 amThis is without a doubt the finest nursery there is. The staff are considerate, caring and friendly at all times. The regular app updates via email are an amazing way to use technology to gain an insight into what the little ones are up to during their school days. Spring Grove School Nursery are always regular and efficient with the descriptions and photographs pertaining to our child individually. It is very easy to see why there is a waiting list for this nursery and it is a fantastic grounding for those that continue into the main school too. Our daughter started in the nursery and is now in Prep 4 and our son has progressed from Teddies into Giraffes and will remain at Spring Grove School Nursery into the future. Even at the nursery level, children get to experience aspects of school life that are not available elsewhere. The noticeable daily development in language, interaction with others and eating such a wide variety of foods at lunchtime as well as the education that is so well taught make this the best choice nursery.

My daughter has settled in very well and enjoyed every day she has been at Spring Grove School Nursery so far. There is a great emphasis on outdoor learning and play, which is great. It’s also nice that they have lunch with the rest of the school.

The nursery is a place of enrichment, taking into consideration what children need to grow. My daughter has learnt a lot and has developed so quickly. At Spring Grove, they have lots of additional things that you wouldn’t usually find, including Frech lessons and Forest School.

We were drawn to the outdoor facilities, in particular, a huge garden place for an active boy to run around in. But also, the attentive care and brilliant staff have ensured our son settled in straight away. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery and highly recommend it!

November 1, 2021 at 12:00 amOur toddler has been attending Spring Grove since early September, and he has loved it since day one. We weren’t sure how he’d adjust to the new setting, having not attended daycare/nursery previously, but the teachers are wonderful and really supported us and him in the transition. It’s so reassuring to know he loves going to school, and he talks about wanting to be there on his days off. The setting is great – a good selection of toys and activities and lots of space to explore and run around. I have no doubt that he’ll learn a lot over the coming months!

The whole team are kind, professional and dedicated. They value and care for our children as individuals in a very nurturing environment.
Every day our children are excited to go in and always say lovely things about their time at nursery.
Communication between school and home is excellent, and the team always do everything they can to help.
We feel that the Early Years curriculum is well embedded and facilitates great progress, with the team having much experience in preparing children for their next steps.
The lovely big garden is wonderful, allowing for lots of time spent playing outdoors. Thank you to everyone at Spring Grove for all you do.

He usually takes a while to settle with new people, but after two settling sessions, he was keen to go in and see his new friends and teachers. The staff are so welcoming and caring. The facilities and outdoor space is great for all children’s ages and support the beginning of their learning experience.

There is always a wide variety of things to do for the children, and they are encouraged to be independent, which has helped at home too.
Staff are always open to your views on how things can be done for your child, are never judgemental and genuinely care about the child as a person.
When we had an issue with potty training, we could talk to the staff and work together towards a solution. Our child was well supported, and the staff took extra care and attention to help us.
