Pass a row of cottages on the left, up an incline, past some large houses on the right hand side, then down an incline - Hockers Lane is the very first turning on the left hand side.

April 15, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at Pennies Day Nursery since she was 13 months old and she’s now in her final few months before starting school in September. All the way through Pennies have been nothing but fantastic and my daughter’s development has been out of this world. I couldn’t recommend Pennies enough. I wouldn’t have wanted any more for my daughter and a massive thanks to all the nursery nurses who are all fantastic.

May 16, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son has attend Pennies Day Nursery – Hockers Lane, Maidstone since he was nine months old and he is now in the preschool room! He has a superb time here and loves going in to see what is planned for the day! The staff are incredibly caring, thoughtful and put lots of hard work and effort into the activities they plan. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are great at staying in touch with updates and progress of the children. I shall be very sad when my son’s time at Pennies Day Nursery – Hockers Lane, Maidstone comes to an end but know that he will have had an awesome time at nursery.

February 15, 2022 at 12:00 amOur eldest daughter has been at Pennies Day Nursery since 2019 and moved through all the rooms. She is now in her last year, our second is halfway through her time at Pennies. The staff have all built strong and positive relationships with the girls, they have supported both girls in developing some lovely friendships. We’ve watched the girls grow in confidence, learn and most importantly have fun which is thanks to the nurturing environment and the care they are provided with.
One of the things that drew us to Pennies Day Nursery initially was the small, family feel it had and that continues to be a strength. The staff know all the children in the different rooms and it’s apparent that relationships are valued. It’s been a difficult few years with the pandemic and despite not being able to go into the nursery the staff have kept up communication home through the use of Tapestry. It’s reassuring and lovely to see the photos of what they have been up to during the day!

March 1, 2022 at 12:00 amOur eldest daughter joined Pennies in the middle of the pandemic which was a nerve-wracking time, however, the team at Pennies went above and beyond to ensure that she settled quickly and they kept us informed every step of the way. Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. She’s grown so much in the time she’s been at nursery. It’s great to see the variety of activities they do with the children. The daily updates and photos have been great. The staff are friendly and extremely supportive. We couldn’t recommend Pennies highly enough.

March 3, 2022 at 12:00 amThe staff are incredibly friendly and really show love and care towards the children. They always make a huge effort with different activities and sensory exploration. My son absolutely loves them and loves going there. He doesn’t even look back when I drop him off in the mornings! The garden is also huge and has a lot of varied activities for them to do which is great. I would highly recommend Pennies Day Nursery to anyone.

March 3, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little boy has quality time at this playschool. His skills and confidence have really developed since attending this playschool. The staff are absolutely brilliant, they are very loving, caring and thoughtful towards him and when he is upset that I have dropped him off at the playschool sometimes, The staff go above and beyond to send me a photo of him having the best time with his friends, which really puts my mind at ease.

Staff are consistently informative and supportive, I get the impression they really take the time to get to know each child individually and understand their needs. My son loves going and always talks about people there in a really happy way. There’s nothing negative I could say about Pennies!

The variety of activities, structure to the day, garden time and mixing with friends have helped him to grow into a happy and confident little boy. Well done to the friendly and welcoming team at Hockers Lane.

October 13, 2022 at 12:00 amOur 7 month old baby girl started in Pennies a few weeks ago now and she loves it! The team in the baby room are the kindest souls, they listen to everything you say, are so attentive and maternal and loving to our little lady who is the youngest there and it makes it so much easier going back to work full-time knowing your baby is in such amazing hands.
We are thrilled with Hockers Lane. Any recommendations or asks you have are really listened to. They keep you updated with pictures and videos and daily updates on how little one is doing which is just brilliant and so lovely for her Granny in Ireland to be able to hear about too.
Our baby loves Hockers Lane so much. All the ladies are the best! They treat the babies as their own and we are so glad we found this nursery having only moved to the area in Feb 2022. 5 stars from us! It’s outstanding for a reason and the variety of what they get up to is just brilliant.

January 16, 2023 at 12:00 amI think it has been amazing, the settling support my child and me, as his mum, have received.
All three of the ladies in toddler room really have been so understanding, done their utmost to reassure me and my child.
The ladies all are so warm and friendly, something that I can see is so natural with all of them. They genuinely enjoy interacting with the children to help them develop. Having additional sessions supporting my post-natal anxiety gave me an opportunity to really observe that, it was so lovely to see.
They have shown such patience and are supportive, genuinely listening to what can help make that smooth transition happen, arranging toys/activities he likes to come into and what he doesn’t like being aware of to avoid. Offering support and advice when needed. You can tell they genuinely care.
The additional home visit, care and hands-on approach with the management is amazing. A home from home with the comfort that the girls provide is lovely.
The environment is so open maintaining safety.

The management were great in communicating with us before she started and securing her place/walking us through the process. The staff are brilliant – so friendly looking after your child. There is a great balance between structured learning and free play/socialisation. Highly recommend.

April 3, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son and daughter have both attended Pennies Day Nursery, we’ve been using them for years. I cannot fault the care, love and learnings provided by the Pennies staff. The nursery is a lovely environment and the children love it there. So much attention goes into getting them ready for school and the staff are just the best. They do so many different activities every day and send photos and updates daily on what the children have been up to.

July 19, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter started at Pennies Day Nursery at Hockers Lane due to having a bad experience with a previous nursery! I am so much more relaxed and happier! So is my daughter since joining Pennies! I cannot fault them as I can see they really care for the children! Yes it’s that little more expensive but I’d rather pay more and have my daughter looked after properly!

July 27, 2023 at 12:00 amOur little boy started at Pennies Day Nursery at the age of fourteen months, and the team there made a great effort to help him to settle in. He’s always enjoyed his days at nursery, and the activities they do with the kids are really fun and varied. He’s moved through the rooms smoothly, and they’ve always been really supportive and caring towards him. I couldn’t recommend the team there enough. Management is always friendly and helpful too. We’ll be sad to leave when he goes off to big school.

They’ve really prepared her for being school ready and supported her throughout everything. Great nursery with events put on for parents to attend and enjoy watching their child play and interact with their friends which many end up in the future schools with.

August 14, 2023 at 12:00 amI can’t thank the butterflies room, ladies, enough for how amazing they have been with my son’s transition to nursery life. I was a very anxious mother and found it challenging to let my son go. My worries were soon gone, from the settling-in process and the constant reassurance to help us settle. My son absolutely adores the girls in the baby room and will miss them when he moves over to the busy bees’ room in September. Thank you again, girls, and keep up the amazing work.
