Pennies Day Nursery - Hockers Lane, Maidstone

All the way through Pennies have been nothing but remarkable and my daughter’s development has been out of this world. I couldn’t suggest Pennies enough. I wouldn’t have wanted any more for my daughter and a massive thanks to all the childcare centre nurses who are all remarkable. My daughter has been at Pennies Day Childcare centre since she was 13 months old and she’s now in her final few months before starting school in September.

The variety of activities, structure to the day, garden time and mixing with friends have helped him to grow into a cheerful and confident little boy. Well done to the welcoming and welcoming team at Hockers Lane. Our 3 year old son absolutely loves attending childcare centre two days a week.

All three of the ladies in toddler room really have been so understanding, done their utmost to reassure me and my kid.
The ladies all are so inviting and welcoming, something that I can see is so natural with all of them. They genuinely delight in interacting with the kids to help them develop. Having additional sessions supporting my post-natal anxiety gave me an opportunity to really observe that, it was so lovely to see.
They have shown such patience and are supportive, genuinely listening to what can help make that smooth transition happen, arranging toys/activities he likes to come into and what he doesn’t like being aware of to avoid. Offering assistance and advice when needed. You can tell they genuinely care.
The additional home visit, care and hands-on approach with the management is incredible. A home from home with the comfort that the girls provide is lovely.
The setting is so open maintaining safety. I think it has been incredible, the settling assistance my kid and me, as his mum, have received.

His skills and self‑assurance have really developed since attending this playschool. The team are absolutely exceptional, they are very loving, attentive and thoughtful towards him and when he is upset that I have dropped him off at the playschool sometimes, The team go above and beyond to send me a photo of him having the best time with his friends, which really puts my mind at ease. My little boy has quality time at this playschool.

Our daughter absolutely loves going to childcare centre. She’s grown so much in the time she’s been at childcare centre. It’s excellent to see the variety of activities they do with the kids. The daily updates and photos have been excellent. The team are welcoming and extremely supportive. We couldn’t suggest Pennies highly enough. Our eldest daughter joined Pennies in the middle of the pandemic which was a nerve-wracking time, however, the team at Pennies went above and beyond to ensure that she settled quickly and they kept us informed every step of the way.

Everyone has been very welcoming and supportive, wish we had time to journey more outside the pandemic. Our son had a great time at Pennies Childcare centre (Hockers Lane), though his stay was, unfortunately, a lot shorter than planned.

She is now in her last year, our second is halfway through her time at Pennies. The team have all built strong and positive relationships with the girls, they have supported both girls in developing some lovely friendships. We’ve watched the girls grow in self‑assurance, learn and most importantly have enjoyable which is thanks to the nurturing setting and the care they are provided with.

One of the things that drew us to Pennies Day Childcare centre initially was the small, family sense it had and that continues to be a strength. The team know all the kids in the different rooms and it’s apparent that relationships are valued. It’s been a difficult few years with the pandemic and despite not being able to go into the childcare centre the team have kept up updates home through the use of Tapestry. It’s reassuring and lovely to see the photos of what they have been up to during the day! Our eldest daughter has been at Pennies Day Childcare centre since 2019 and moved through all the rooms.

Team are consistently informative and supportive, I get the impression they really take the time to get to know each kid individually and understand their needs. My son loves going and consistently talks about people there in a really cheerful way. There’s nothing negative I could say about Pennies! My son has been going to Pennies Day Childcare centre for over a year and absolutely loves it.

I was a very anxious mother and found it challenging to let my son go. My worries were soon gone, from the settling-in process and the constant reassurance to help us settle. My son absolutely adores the girls in the baby room and will miss them when he moves over to the busy bees’ room in September. Thank you again, girls, and keep up the incredible work. I can’t thank the butterflies room, ladies, enough for how incredible they have been with my son’s transition to childcare centre life.

He’s consistently enjoyed his days at childcare centre, and the activities they do with the kids are really enjoyable and varied. He’s moved through the rooms smoothly, and they’ve consistently been really supportive and attentive towards him. I couldn’t suggest the team there enough. Management is consistently welcoming and supportive too. We’ll be sad to leave when he goes off to big school. Our little boy started at Pennies Day Childcare centre at the age of fourteen months, and the team there made a excellent effort to help him to settle in.
