VisitingBased next door to the Portsmouth Arms Pub - head for the pub and then take the next right into the site. Drive down to the bottom of the site and park in front of the Busy Bees nursery which is opposite the Insignia building. Designated car parking is directly in front of the nursery.

DirectionsBusy Bees Hatch Warren nursery is a recently refurbished, OUTSTANDING OFSTED rated full daycare nursery (29th May 2014 and 30th June 2017) The nursery comprises of 2 beautiful grade 2 listed barns which still have their original features such as beams inside. The nursery is for babies/ children aged 0-2 years in the smaller barn, and 2-5 years with great school links and support in the larger barn. The nursery is set on a quiet rural site in Hatch Warren with beautiful grounds to explore, but also has easy access to M3 Junction 7, 6 and bus routes.

October 29, 2018 at 12:00 amMy grandson is having a great time at Busy Bees Hatch Warren Lane He looks forward to seeing his friends and talks about them and his carers all weekend! He’s now 2 and just recently his language has developed from one word to 3-4 words/sentences. Staff are amazing, warm and friendly and caring and know his need VERY well. I just don’t know how they look after all those children at the same time, but every child is happy when I go to collect my grandson. It’s a fun place to be and I love going to collect him and hearing what he has been doing and learning.

February 26, 2019 at 12:00 amI love Busy Bees, and so does my son (1). All the staff are wonderful, and very clearly love what they do. I’ve felt that every step of the way that I’ve been given insightful information with regards to my son’s development, progress and learning. As a result, he’s a happy and confident little boy and I couldn’t be happier with my childcare choice.

February 26, 2019 at 12:00 amThe staff and my son’s key worker have been fantastic and are very caring. He has settled in really quickly and is excited to go in the morning. They seem to do very varied activities and the app is a brilliant way of keeping up to date with what he is doing. The management are very good at informing parents if there is any problems. For example sickness or recently access due to snow. I would highly recommend this nursery.

February 26, 2019 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been with Busy Bees now for almost a year and she is so happy there, she has come on so far with her learning since she started. The staff are all so caring for the children and provide daily updates at the end of each session. The food is great, plenty of varied meals that my child would have never tried if she wasn’t at Busy Bees. Best of all, the children are always so happy! Thank you for your continued hard work and support.

She settled in extremely quickly and class room transitions when moving up are very well organised to cause minimum stress to the child. All staff are very polite and helpful and the iconnect tool really keeps you connected to your childs daily activities.

February 27, 2019 at 12:00 amMy son has been attending Busy Bess Hatch Warren Lane since May 2018 and his development since then has been incredible. He is a happy and outgoing little boy who loves to be busy with all the different activities going on daily. The staff in the under 2s building are amazing and instantly become part of the family, they take the time to get to get to know your child on a personal level which is invaluable.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to other parents/carers and look forward to our new arrival joining when I return to work next year!

My son is coming close to leaving now to go to school and he has had such a great start, in part, due to the time and effort that the team at Busy Bees have spent with him. When I pick him up of an evening, all of the children are so happy and confident individuals and this is testament to the nursery and the work they put in to developing clever and confident little humans, ready for the next stage in their lives.
The manager has a great team of people who care, working for her, and she is a very hands-on nursery manager.
I couldn’t recommend Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hatch Warren Lane enough!

March 6, 2019 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been coming here since she was 9 months old. All of the staff have been amazing and supportive. She has developed a lot with the support and encouragement of the staff here.
The facilities are great, a variety of healthy meals and it is always clean.

March 6, 2019 at 12:00 amMy daughter has attended Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hatch Warren Lane since she was 11 months old, and has grown through all the rooms there.
Every step of the way, the care and education she receives is second to none, to the point where most of her dollies are named after the nursery staff! She is, and has always been eager to go every day, which I think is a testament to how happy she is there.
Every key worker she has had over the 2 years, has been exceptional and bonded with both my daughter and also us as parents, which I also feel is equally important.
The garden has been redone recently to a really high standard, and I have NEVER ever seen anything that looked like it needed cleaning or tidying. All the staff take such pride in the environment and in the children.

March 6, 2019 at 12:00 amMy son absolutely loves the days he spends at Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hatch Warren Lane. He always enjoys the activities and eats like a king! As a parent, I love the regular updates on sleep, eating, nappies and observations of how he has been getting on. The staff are incredible and my son is thriving under their care. We are so pleased we chose Busy Bees and couldn’t ask for a better team of people to look after our little boy.

June 20, 2023 at 12:00 amMy oldest is now at school but had the best journey at the nursery which set her up very well to transition to school, my youngest still attends the nursery and loves spending time with the staff and children in her room. Both my girls were very different with settling in but both experiences were made easier by the care shown from the staff and regular updates from the app! The range of food at meal times, activities during the day and opportunities they are given to learn are amazing and show a dedication from the staff team! In each age group the staff are friendly and approachable and have strong relationships with all the children whether they are their key worker or not which is lovely to see!

June 20, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son has been at Busy Bees Hatch Warren since he turned 2, progressing from the 2-3 room into preschool. He loves attending the nursery, and we have always felt supported as a family with regards to any issues and also with our son’s development. My son has slight hearing loss and his key worker made a support plan and we have definitely noticed how much it has helped. During COVID it was interesting, but the nursery made every effort to keep things ‘normal’ for the children and ensure that they were able to safely continue. We appreciate the handovers at the end of the day, and the app is really helpful in telling us what he has eaten and his development milestones. The food the children eat is amazing, and our son eats much more there than he does at home! The team make lots of efforts with planning and setting up activities and we are often invited to celebrations and events. When we move on to school in the Autumn we will all miss the staff and friends we have made at Busy Bees!

June 20, 2023 at 12:00 amWe instantly felt comfortable having our daughter here, the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and listened to all of our requests. We get daily updates as to what our daughter is up to and are kept up to date with any development milestones she’s reached whilst there. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough, above and beyond our expectations.

July 3, 2023 at 12:00 amDue to issues at our daughter’s previous nursery settling, we removed her in January 2023. On speaking with the manager, she was very supportive and was able to get our daughter’s settling-in sessions booked in and start dates for the following month. We were very nervous to try another nursery given our previous negative experience but I can honestly say it was the best thing we did.
Our daughter runs into nursery every morning, she is so excited to see all her friends and her lovely key worker/room staff. She comes home most evenings and tells us everything she has done that day. We cannot get over her progression with what she learns at nursery, her speech and understanding is always commented on by others. We may only be four months in but the amount of care/time and effort they have put in with our daughter and us has been amazing. We will always be grateful for this!

July 3, 2023 at 12:00 amOur son has absolutely thrived during his first year at Busy Bees, Hatch Warren. The staff are incredible and their level of care has been nothing short of exceptional. Everyone who meets our son credits the fact he is obviously at a well-placed nursery and this speaks volumes in itself.
We have regular updates as to our child’s progress and since starting at the Hatch Warren nursery he has blossomed into such a loving, caring, intelligent, curious, confident boy.
We cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. Our child feels safe, loved, encouraged and part of a wider family. This is all any parent can ask for in a nursery.
Thank you to all the staff for ensuring this continues to be the case. Even during unexpected periods of change, the children’s care is never compromised and parents are kept informed at every step.

July 4, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son has been going to Busy Bees since July 2020, so has gone from the Baby Room to Pre-School and I cannot fault any of the rooms. The staff in each room have been fantastic and they have really supported my son in being the boy he is now. His confidence has improved with each change and even though the change of rooms has always been difficult/emotional, they’ve always supported him and made him as comfortable as possible. I can honestly say without Busy Bees and the staff, I don’t think he would be school ready but the attention to detail they are giving to the school leavers is amazing and I’m excited (also nervous) for his next chapter. He always comes out happy and tells us about his day, and who he’s played with.

July 24, 2023 at 12:00 amI was very hesitant of sending my daughter to nursery at 9 months old, but due to work commitments I felt it was best. My mind was completely put at ease and her settling sessions went brilliantly.
She is now coming to the end of her ‘under 2’s’ stage and we have nothing but fantastic views on the team who cared for her. They are all brilliant with her, know her personality and treat her as their own. At the end of her sessions, we learn all about her day and the activities she got up to. Each day doing something fun and engaging. She has learnt so much and surprises us every day.
When she moves up to the next stage, I have no reservations or anxiety as I know she will be well looked after!

Our daughter is absolutely thriving and learning so much from the staff and children at the nursery. The staff are the nicest, friendliest people who care so much for the children. It’s incredible knowing that our little girl is so cared for and loved in a place that she loves going to each and every day.
