VisitingBased next door to the Portsmouth Arms Pub - head for the pub and then take the next right into the site. Drive down to the bottom of the site and park in front of the Busy Bees nursery which is opposite the Insignia building. Designated car parking is directly in front of the nursery.

DirectionsBusy Bees Hatch Warren nursery is a recently refurbished, OUTSTANDING OFSTED rated full daycare nursery (29th May 2014 and 30th June 2017) The nursery comprises of 2 beautiful grade 2 listed barns which still have their original features such as beams inside. The nursery is for babies/ children aged 0-2 years in the smaller barn, and 2-5 years with great school links and support in the larger barn. The nursery is set on a quiet rural site in Hatch Warren with beautiful grounds to explore, but also has easy access to M3 Junction 7, 6 and bus routes.

The facilities are excellent, a variety of healthy meals and it is consistently spotless. My daughter has been coming here since she was 9 months old.

November 4, 2024 at 5:01 amThe team in each room have been remarkable and they have really supported my son in being the boy he is now. His self‑assurance has improved with each change and even though the change of rooms has consistently been difficult/emotional, they’ve consistently supported him and made him as comfortable as possible. I can honestly say without Busy Bees and the team, I don’t think he would be school ready but the attention to detail they are giving to the school leavers is incredible and I’m excited (also nervous) for his next chapter. He consistently comes out cheerful and tells us about his day, and who he’s played with.
Thank you to Busy Bees and all the team, for giving us a positive journey! My son has been going to Busy Bees since July 2020, so has gone from the Baby Room to Pre-School and I cannot fault any of the rooms.

November 6, 2024 at 8:03 amHe is a cheerful and outgoing little boy who loves to be busy with all the different activities going on daily. The team in the under 2s building are incredible and instantly become part of the family, they take the time to get to get to know your kid on a personal level which is invaluable.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this childcare centre to other parents/carers and look forward to our new arrival joining when I return to work next year! My son has been attending Busy Bess Hatch Warren Lane since May 2018 and his development since then has been incredible.

The food is excellent, plenty of varied meals that my kid would have never tried if she wasn’t at Busy Bees. Best of all, the kids are consistently so cheerful! Thank you for your continued hard work and assistance. My daughter has been with Busy Bees now for almost a year and she is so cheerful there, she has come on so far with her discovering since she started.

They seem to do very varied activities and the app is a exceptional way of keeping up to date with what he is doing. The management are very great at informing parents if there is any problems. For example sickness or recently access due to snow. I would highly suggest this childcare centre. The team and my son’s key worker have been remarkable and are very attentive.

December 18, 2024 at 5:03 pmThe team are incredible and their level of care has been nothing short of exceptional. Everyone who meets our son credits the fact he is obviously at a well-placed childcare centre and this speaks volumes in itself.
We have regular updates as to our kid’s development and since starting at the Hatch Warren childcare centre he has blossomed into such a loving, attentive, intelligent, curious, confident boy.
We cannot suggest this childcare centre highly enough. Our kid feels secure, loved, encouraged and part of a wider family. This is all any parent can ask for in a childcare centre.
Thank you to all the team for ensuring this continues to be the case. Even during unexpected periods of change, the kids’s care is never compromised and parents are kept informed at every step.

December 28, 2024 at 10:22 amHe’s now 2 and just recently his language has developed from one word to 3-4 words/sentences. Team are incredible, inviting and welcoming and attentive and know his need VERY well. I just don’t know how they look after all those kids at the same time, but every kid is cheerful when I go to collect my grandson. It’s a enjoyable place to be and I adore going to collect him and hearing what he has been doing and discovering. My grandson is having a excellent time at Busy Bees Hatch Warren Lane He looks forward to seeing his friends and talks about them and his carers all weekend!

All team are very polite and supportive and the iconnect tool really keeps you connected to your childs daily activities. Busy Bees Hatch Warren has provided outstanding care to my little girl.

December 31, 2024 at 4:11 amOn speaking with the manager, she was very supportive and was able to get our daughter’s settling-in sessions booked in and start dates for the following month. We were very nervous to try another childcare centre given our previous negative journey but I can honestly say it was the best thing we did.
Our daughter runs into childcare centre every morning, she is so excited to see all her friends and her lovely key worker/room team. She comes home most evenings and tells us everything she has done that day. We cannot get over her progression with what she learns at childcare centre, her speech and understanding is consistently commented on by others. We may only be four months in but the amount of care/time and effort they have put in with our daughter and us has been incredible. We will consistently be grateful for this! Due to issues at our daughter’s previous childcare centre settling, we removed her in January 2023.

January 6, 2025 at 8:34 pmHe loves attending the childcare centre, and we have consistently felt supported as a family with regards to any issues and also with our son’s development. My son has slight hearing loss and his key worker made a assistance plan and we have definitely noticed how much it has helped. During COVID it was interesting, but the childcare centre made every effort to keep things ‘normal’ for the kids and ensure that they were able to safely continue. We appreciate the handovers at the end of the day, and the app is really supportive in telling us what he has eaten and his development milestones. The food the kids eat is incredible, and our son eats much more there than he does at home! The team make lots of efforts with planning and setting up activities and we are often invited to celebrations and events. When we move on to school in the Autumn we will all miss the team and friends we have made at Busy Bees! My son has been at Busy Bees Hatch Warren since he turned 2, progressing from the 2-3 room into preschool.

March 17, 2025 at 7:47 pmBoth my girls were very different with settling in but both experiences were made easier by the care shown from the team and regular updates from the app! The range of food at meal times, activities during the day and opportunities they are given to learn are incredible and show a dedication from the team team! In each age group the team are welcoming and approachable and have strong relationships with all the kids whether they are their key worker or not which is lovely to see! My oldest is now at school but had the best journey at the childcare centre which set her up very well to transition to school, my youngest still attends the childcare centre and loves spending time with the team and kids in her room.

I couldn’t suggest this childcare centre enough, above and beyond our expectations. We instantly felt comfortable having our daughter here, the team were very welcoming, well‑informed and listened to all of our requests.

The team are the nicest, friendliest people who care so much for the kids. It’s incredible knowing that our little girl is so cared for and loved in a place that she loves going to each and every day. Our daughter has been with the childcare centre since September 2022 and I can honestly say, hand on heart, that choosing Busy Bees, Hatch Warren was one of the best decisions we’ve made as parents.

May 27, 2025 at 9:25 pmShe is, and has consistently been eager to go every day, which I think is a testament to how cheerful she is there.
Every key worker she has had over the 2 years, has been exceptional and bonded with both my daughter and also us as parents, which I also sense is equally important.
The garden has been redone recently to a really high standard, and I have NEVER ever seen anything that looked like it needed cleaning or tidying. All the team take such pride in the setting and in the kids. My daughter has attended Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hatch Warren Lane since she was 11 months old, and has grown through all the rooms there.
Every step of the way, the care and education she receives is second to none, to the point where most of her dollies are named after the childcare centre team!

June 6, 2025 at 7:59 pmHe consistently enjoys the activities and eats like a king! As a parent, I adore the regular updates on sleep, eating, nappies and observations of how he has been getting on. The team are incredible and my son is thriving under their care. We are so pleased we chose Busy Bees and couldn’t ask for a better team of people to look after our little boy. My son absolutely loves the days he spends at Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hatch Warren Lane.

June 27, 2025 at 6:25 pmMy mind was completely put at ease and her settling sessions went brilliantly.
She is now coming to the end of her ‘under 2’s’ stage and we have nothing but remarkable views on the team who cared for her. They are all exceptional with her, know her personality and treat her as their own. At the end of her sessions, we learn all about her day and the activities she got up to. Each day doing something enjoyable and engaging. She has learnt so much and surprises us every day.
When she moves up to the next stage, I have no reservations or anxiety as I know she will be well looked after! I was very hesitant of sending my daughter to childcare centre at 9 months old, but due to work commitments I felt it was best.

July 9, 2025 at 6:44 pmMy son is coming close to leaving now to go to school and he has had such a excellent start, in part, due to the time and effort that the team at Busy Bees have spent with him. When I pick him up of an evening, all of the kids are so cheerful and confident individuals and this is testament to the childcare centre and the work they put in to developing clever and confident little humans, ready for the next stage in their lives.
The manager has a excellent team of people who care, working for her, and she is a very hands-on childcare centre manager.
I couldn’t suggest Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hatch Warren Lane enough! Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hatch Warren Lane is a excellent childcare centre!!
