Tops Day Nurseries: Portsmouth Nursery

The team are lovely and really attentive. They are given opportunities to learn and develop and do really excellent activities. Everyone is so welcoming and compassionate. Would strongly suggest it for kids of all ages up to school and for holiday clubs. Outstanding High 5’s holiday club which both our kids attend having been at Tops before they went to school.

My daughter has been attending Tops Portsmouth since she was 11 months old. She is now 4! We’ve had a very pleasant journey over the years and have not had any major concerns. It is such a relief and joy to see your kid getting excited to go to childcare centre and hug their teacher with such excitement. It is also very hard to find such a great quality childcare centre with so much flexibility in the bookings. I would absolutely suggest it to anyone looking for childcare. Incredible childcare centre!

He has blossomed into a confident and bright young man thanks to all the childcare centre workers. They are outstanding at updates and making sure to keep me up to date with my son’s development. My son needs a little extra help in certain areas and they have gone above and beyond to assist me with this. All the team are lovely and efficient. I sense confident in recommending this childcare centre to anyone! My son started here in November and I could not fault the childcare centre at all.

The short time they have been attending. They have come so far, for example their speech has gotten better and their self‑assurance has grown.
They do so many activities with them and are consistently willing to go the extra mile and this applies to all the team.

She consistently has the biggest smile on her face and runs into the childcare centre when attending or towards the team here with open arms. This to me is a telltale sign as a parent, that she feels comfortable and secure being here. The team at Tops have consistently been extremely accommodating to her and kept myself and her father in the loop with her development needs, working alongside her external therapies also. It is nice to sense my daughter is a part of something like she does at Tops. They are consistently accommodating and extremely flexible with the work patterns of shift workers. My daughter has attended Tops since she was 7 months old and now is 3 years old.

All the team are consistently nice and supportive. I recently attended a stay-and-playtime session, there are so many activities to do as well as a very large garden to playtime in. I would definitely suggest this childcare centre. My daughter has been attending Top Day Childcare centre since she was 14 months old, settling in immediately and seems to really delight in going.

My boy really enjoyed his time in the childcare centre. I noticed how quickly my boy started discovering with educators – songs, numeracy, dance, language. My boy attended childcare centre since he was two years old. He loved Forest School. There were excellent facilities, lovely location and dedicated team. We are pleased with how the team looked after my boy. He developed a lot through playtime activities at the childcare centre. Team and management team are lovely and supportive all the time.

At first, my son would cry every time I left him, as he is uncomfortable around people. Now he takes his bag from me ready to start with the lovely team. The team, who my kid has interacted with since being there, have done a fantastic job! They know the majority of things about my son – what he likes/dislikes, when he is tired, when hungry and so on! They have to remember other kids and they are like my kid’s third home. They make sure when it’s sunny, they are out in the garden and my son loves the outside so that’s nice to know. The one thing I would change, if it was possible, I understand the team work from 06:00-20:00 as it is! But as I work in the hospital when working till 20:00 it is hard to try and leave early to get on time so if they made it 20:10 just so I got that little extra time to be there on time and not get charged £30:00. My kid has been attending childcare centre since he was 8 months he is now only 17 months but I couldn’t fault the childcare centre.

Now at the age of 3, I am very cheerful that she is not a very shy little girl anymore. Attending this childcare centre has helped her develop social skills, updates and self‑assurance. She enjoys the variety of activities provided at the childcare centre. The one aspect which needs improving is taking kids for outings on foot or by vehicle. In the 2 years my daughter has been there, she has never been for any outing. And also discovering log entries on the parents’ app were very regular on a weekly basis until she was in explorers. After which it has been very limited. Overall, I am cheerful with the flexibility in booking hours and the assistance given. Thank you. My daughter has been attending this childcare centre since she was 10 months old.

All of the team from the admin team, chefs and caregiving team are all so personable, approachable, welcoming, attentive, supportive and expert. I couldn’t be happier since my son has joined the tops family, he has come on so well in his development and self‑assurance I know a big part of this is down to the fabulous team/family.
