Co-op Childcare Southampton

I can’t recommend this setting enough! My son is now in school but comes back to the pre-school room for holiday club each half term. We have very fond memories of the time he has had there over the years and he still loves going in. I enjoy seeing him playing with his nursery friends again and interacting with the staff who he adores. Thank you all for everything you do!

My son has a medical issue that has arisen in the last seven months, which makes him mostly non-verbal, and nursery have provided excellent care and help whilst he recovers/improves. His key worker always goes above and beyond, including learning Makaton signs. My son also has a dietary requirement and there has never been one mistake or issue of the nursery providing incorrect food, which has been a problem for some of my friends at other nurseries with the same need. I am always very impressed and love the daily communication they offer. The activities they provide always sound so fun and I can tell they really take notice of my son’s interests and what he responds to even though he isn’t always able to communicate with words. I am so grateful to have found such a caring and helpful place.

All round a brilliant experience. Our daughter loves coming to nursery and always comes home happy, well-fed and smiling. All the staff are brilliant, communicate very well with us and are friendly, compassionate and a pleasure to deal with. Would recommend Co-op Childcare Southampton to anyone.

Excellent experience with the nursery over the past two and a half years, I have two children, nearly 2 and nearly 3, both have been in since 6 months old and have thoroughly enjoyed their time and have really close relationships with several members of staff. The changeover of rooms as they grow and develop is dealt with very well and the facilities and care have always been exceptional.

My son started at this nursery when he was 1 year old and all the teachers here have been a blessing for us. They took care of him and they helped him settle in since the first day. He is enjoying every moment. Great environment, really good and wide spaces for children to play and really nice garden. A lot of activities for every age as well, happy to see him always busy painting, building or playing outside.

The Co-operative Childcare Southampton pre-school has been consistently excellent in providing care for my son. He has a speech delay which is well-supported and understood by the staff. Some staff members have learned Makaton signs to help him and work alongside his speech therapist to provide a consistently high level of support. Their attention to detail has meant that other potential health issues were raised at the same time as we noticed them as parents. Their care is absolutely excellent.

Fantastic staff! Made going back to work so easy for me as I was very anxious about leaving my daughter. She settled in so quickly and loves going to the nursery to see the staff and other children. She has learnt so much even family members have commented on how confident and happy my daughter is. I highly recommend this nursery.

I am very pleased with the service and staff at this nursery. My children started in September 2022 and they settled in very well, they are always happy when coming to the nursery. The staff are all very kind and helpful. I am very happy with my choice.

A welcoming and friendly nursery with hours to meet my needs and staff who care and offer support to parents as well as the children.
Offering an engaging range of activities covering indoor and outdoor play, creative arts and literacy and numeracy which work with my child to help him understand the world and progress his knowledge, skills and understanding. The staff provide regular feedback and offers suggestions on how to support my child’s learning outside of the nursery.
A varied range of meals and snacks to fill tummies as well as introduce new tastes and flavours that may not be eaten in the home environment.

My son has been attending the nursery for almost two years, since he was 9 months old. We are moving away so sadly he is having to move to another nursery. We have always found the staff very friendly and helpful and my son clearly enjoys his days there. We have always found communication very prompt and I found the app easy to use. Overall, a really lovely nursery with great, caring staff.
