May 27, 2021 at 12:00 amWe are very happy with the nursery and especially how they have coped with the frequent changes to government guidelines and how they have communicated it all to us. My child in pre-school is getting a great start ahead of his transition to school in September and he enjoys his time at nursery. My younger child is very happy going to nursery and enjoys the variety of games and activities he does.

May 27, 2021 at 12:00 amThe nursery provides a really caring and stimulating environment for kids to grow up in. We’ve now got our second child at the nursery, who’s much more of a quiet soul than his very outgoing older sibling. We’re very happy to see that the needs of very different kids are met, and their interests and curiosity fostered.

June 14, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter was at a different nursery full time from aged 8 months – 4 years, and I moved her to the Co-Op Childcare nursery in January of this year as it is closer to home. My daughter has settled in wonderfully and talks very enthusiastically about all the things she gets up to. I particularly value the environmentally friendly focus of the nursery, the healthy food the children are served but most importantly the staff are incredibly kind and caring and have become like a second family to my daughter. She couldn’t be happier there.

July 7, 2021 at 12:00 amI have two children at the nursery – my oldest has been going for nearly 3 years now, my youngest a year and they both love the time they spend there. They talk with so much enthusiasm about the activities they get up to, the games they play and the songs they sing. They speak fondly about the friends they’ve made and their keyworkers too. All the staff at the nursery are so friendly and welcoming, whenever they’ve had a wobble, they’ve been right by their side and putting a smile back on their face in no time.
My oldest is off to school in September and will miss the pre-school room, her teachers and friends. The pre-school room has given her a brilliant start for school with their phonics lessons and transition to school program.
Overall we are so happy with the nursery and couldn’t fault them.

March 10, 2022 at 12:00 amExcellent nursery, great communication with parents, very good on developmental reviews, our daughter eats very balanced food whilst at nursery and they are always happy to resolve any issue that arises. The space is welcoming and they are always undertaking different activities. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

March 10, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son is always happy going into nursery and has made a real connection with the staff there. His key person is always available to talk and works together with us, as parents, to solve any issues. For example, when it was noticed that my son became overwhelmed by busy periods in the day, strategies were put in place that could be followed at nursery and at home creating a consistent approach, helping him to better cope in overwhelming situations.
I feel comfortable leaving my child in their care and know that his individual needs are supported. They have healthy, nutritious meals with menus changing regularly for variety.
The nursery regularly hosts sessions for parents to attend on subjects relating to early years, such as speech and language development, and encourage parent involvement. I would highly recommend this nursery to prospective families.

March 10, 2022 at 12:00 amOur daughter has been attending the Co-op Childcare Day Nursery at Falmer since she was 14-months-old. She is enjoying her time there and we love to see her develop, explore and learn new things. The staff and management team are great and have been very supportive. The only thing we would like to see different is if we could receive more photos and updates of her day there, only because everything sounds so exciting.

March 10, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter goes to Co-op Childcare Day Nursery Sussex and has the best time. She comes home pretty knackered from a full-on, active day (great for a good night’s sleep!), chats about her buddies and clearly learns a lot.
Overall, especially through Covid times, it’s clear that the deputy manager and her team really care for the little people and are really caring and supportive.
If I was being fussy, I’d love more pictures in the app and a bit more consistency of the key worker but my little one doesn’t seem to care about either of those things and has a wonderful time at nursery – so that really is what matters, in my opinion. So highly recommend to those considering this nursery.

March 11, 2022 at 12:00 amOutstanding nursery both for facilities and staff. The environment is engaging, inviting and I feel that it supports my children’s age-appropriate development (14-months and 3.5-years). The outside areas are the best I have seen at any nursery. I always feel safe dropping them off and look forward to hearing about their adventures when I collect them.
They have made strong bonds with both their carers and other children. The range of activities on offer is amazing – fun, creative and educational. I have recommended this nursery to a number of friends already. Oh, and the catering is great also.

March 15, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at the nursery since October 2021. Before moving here, she only knew a few words in English; now, she is confident to speak foreign people from all over the world. I see her self-esteem, and I am proud of her, and I respect the Co-op culture, her key person and all practitioners to support her strengths.
As an international MA student at the University, we were alone with my daughter in uncertainty for most of the term. Responsibilities have become challenging for me sometimes, but all team members in the Co-op encouraged me and made me feel in a compassionate environment.
We, as a family, think that this nursery is worth to use our savings for our daughter’s personal, cognitive and communication development in a multicultural place, at least for a school year. To the whole family members in the Co-op, thank you for caring for our daughter and us. We feel at home!

March 25, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has attended the setting since August 2021 which was later than we intended due to the pandemic. As our child was very young when the pandemic hit we were worried about her settling at nursery, yet we were silly to do so! The staff and management reassured us and made our little one feel at ease, safe and secure. Since she has attended the setting she has grown in confidence and has become much more sociable with other children. The environments are welcoming and homely and practitioners are skilled and knowledgeable in their roles. The menus are nutritional and balanced and adapt to dietary needs. I would highly recommend this nursery if they want their child to be in safe hands!

April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at the nursery since early 2020. Her key persons over the months have all been second to none. You know you are in the right place when your daughter is all smiles every time she enters the nursery and you can see her happily playing and interacting with staff and children when you pick her up. I know here she is in safe hands.

April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amOur eldest son has been at the Co-op Nursery and now Pre-school for the past 3 years, and he has loved his time there. The pandemic has been a tough time for all of us, but the Nursery has battled through, doing their best to keep their services running, and we only had a short time with no childcare, although this was stressful, due to both of us being at work. They kept us up-to-date with developments, and we always felt that our eldest was being well cared for, and was able to forge bonds with other children, and with his key staff members.
It’s now been the first few weeks of our one-year-old starting at nursery, and he has settled in really well. He will have missed the interaction with other babies, so it’s lovely to see him playing with them. The nursery staff already seem pleased with him, and despite some dietary requirements due to a cows milk protein allergy, he has enjoyed snack time and lunchtime. Spaghetti Bolognese!

April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter settled brilliantly at this nursery. The staff are wonderful and very experienced. The ethos is very child centred and I love the emphasis on linking nature and sustainability to children’s learning. My daughter is really thriving in this setting. Thank you so much!

April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amWe couldn’t ask for a better nursery for our daughter, she is so happy there. The attention to every child is brilliant, the smiley welcome every morning, and the focus on each child as an individual are all reasons why we love it so much. It’s clean, the food is great and the staff really tune into the interests of the children and build them into exciting, creative activities. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

April 26, 2022 at 12:00 amA great nursery with fantastic facilities. The staff are great at what they do and genuinely love children! Comparatively the cost is quite high compared to some other nurseries but you really do get what you pay for and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

May 3, 2022 at 12:00 amI find this to be an excellent nursery which has exceeded my expectations many times. They pay close attention to all the types of individual needs of the children and check in with the parents whenever needed. They have a nice outdoor area with many toys and many activities and resources in the rooms. In the preschool, they have a timetable, and structured learning-through-play activities as well as free play time, and they even start reading and writing. They provide written feedback frequently and verbal feedback daily. The office and room staff are all highly professional, competent and approachable in my experience. It is true that it may be slightly expensive compared to other places, but I think this is because the quality is very high and they provide everything you need such as nappies, food and sun cream. The reviews on this site seem to have improved over time so it seems that in the past few years they have improved the nursery, also in terms of looking after the staff.

March 31, 2023 at 12:00 amI’ve had some bad experiences with nurseries in the past for my older child, however, our Co-op nursery has been absolutely fantastic in every sense of the word. The staff have built a genuine connection with my son and appreciate him for all of his cheeky and charming ways. They’ve helped him in so many ways socially and cognitively. I love that they don’t have any screens so there’s no leaving children watching cartoons, every activity is engaging and developmentally appropriate. I also love that they try to limit plastic toys and follow a Montessori approach. The setting of the nursery is incredible with a lovely foyer for parents to sit in and an amazing garden. I’ve always felt heard and supported and that my child’s best interest has always been valued. My child has made amazing memories for a lifetime here and I can’t fault them in the slightest!

April 13, 2023 at 12:00 amI’m so happy with the nursery and all staff are amazing and so welcoming. My son rarely looks back when he arrives, and that just makes me so happy because I know he’ll have loads of playtime with his friends. The fact that the nursery is open pretty much all year around (except weekends, Christmas and Bank holidays) really is great, as you don’t have to take annual leave during the normal half terms or other periods like such, which gives us a lot of freedom to schedule our preferred holiday time.
Premises security, to keep kids safe from outside strangers, was also something we were really concerned about, but the double doors at the entrance keep our peace of mind.
Just love it, the team is great! I 100% recommend this nursery.

April 26, 2023 at 12:00 amWould recommend this nursery to friends and family, have always felt very welcomed by the staff. The environment feels safe and great communication with the room staff members. My son has always been happy to go to nursery and can’t wait to hear about his next adventures!
