Dair House School Nursery

A fantastic nursery with an extensive outdoor play area, complete with mud kitchen, wheels galore and climbing frames.

The nursery teachers are fun, enthusiastic, approachable and have my child’s best interests at all times.

The weekly planning sheets and the online Tapestry means I know what my child has done and is doing, allowing me to engage and reinforce her learning.

Nursery children get an opportunity to play a part in the school nativity play. I am looking forward to seeing this.

Dair House School Nursery is an excellent nursery providing the highest standards of care for the children. The facilities provided for the children both inside the classroom and in the playground are excellent. They do a wide variety of activities each week and have a lot of fun. I was also very pleasantly surprised that my child was interested in phonics and numbers at the age of three and I credit this to the nursery teachers making their learning fun. The children are encouraged to develop their independence and learn to complete tasks such as putting on their shoes and coat with lots of praise and support, bringing out their confidence.
The teachers genuinely care about your child’s emotional needs. I have never had to worry that my child might be too hot, cold or unable to speak to his teachers about anything that is on his mind, all his needs are met to the highest standard. The children are given the opportunity to thrive at nursery. I cannot recommend Dair House School Nursery highly enough!

We’ve had a great experience with the nursery at Dair House School Nursery. Despite starting during Covid-19 restrictions, our son settled in well. Communication is good, despite current limitations, with a programme of their activities for the week shared ahead and observations recorded in an online app. Food is provided by the school kitchen and there’s a good variety of meals. We’ve recently moved from half-days to full days and that has worked well too. I have great confidence that the nursery are providing a great foundation for our son starting school in September.

The nursery at Dair House is a kind and welcoming environment for pre-school children to thrive, in my experience. My elder son attended the nursery and now my daughter is enjoying it, too.
The lovely, experienced staff place great importance on being outside and having fun through play, set clear boundaries of what they expect in terms of behaviour and work hard to equip children with the skills they will develop further in reception while wrapping this all up in a warm, safe and supportive atmosphere.
The facilities and food are also excellent and the children are made to feel part of the wider school community too.

My daughter has thrived since joining Dair House School Nursery. Every member of staff goes above and beyond to make sure she is happy and developing. During the lockdown period, there was online contact and activities set by the staff to ensure her learning continued. Regular reports and parents evenings have helped me to understand areas of development that I can continue to work on at home. The school also has a brilliant PTA presence with regular activities throughout the year, helping new parents meet others in the school community. I really recommend Dair House!

With both my daughters I have looked at and attended countless nurseries, both day nurseries and those part of schools. This is without a shadow of a doubt by far the best. The quality and level of teaching and care at the nursery are outstanding. The facilities are great and the opportunities to interact with all the school really make a difference. My daughter loved it so much so she would always be asking to go on a weekend! We had such a great experience my daughter has continued through to reception and I have transferred my older daughter into the school. The standard of care and approach of the teachers is both warm and patient but at the same time stretching. Highly recommend.

We currently have 3 children at Dair House, one in year 5 and two in the Dair House School Nursery. We are very familiar with the nursery and school as our eldest daughter went through to year 6 at Dair House as well. We feel Dair House provides a safe environment for children’s wellbeing, education and has encouraged all-rounder academic/vocational abilities from all our four children.
The staff at Dair House is great and always welcoming! Our children look forward to going in and are always received with a warm welcome. There are plenty of resources for engaging the children at nursery, including ample interactive toys, indoor and safe outdoor dedicated play areas which both our children at nursery have grown to love. The nursery and all outdoor play areas look and feel clean always and ready to play with.
I feel Dair House benefits from a great leadership of the whole school and nursery which makes it a commendable place for learning in my view!

This is my second child to attend the Dair House Nursery and they have both had the greatest experience with the lovely caring teachers here. The teachers make every effort to understand each child in order to nurture them to achieve their best even at this very young age. They make sure the children play to their strengths and learn to behave beautifully and really prepare them for reception year. I have been able to completely relax knowing that they are looked after so well and they have both been so happy here. I would highly recommend the nursery at Dair House to anyone.

Absolutely amazing nursery. The teachers really believe in the abilities of the children which has such a big impact. I have nothing negative at all to say. The teacher’s attention to detail with each individual child is really something special! My daughter feels loved at school and enjoys her time there.
