The Shepherd's Hut Outdoor Day Nursery

The team were efficient in getting my son enrolled and helped with everything he started the same week. We shall be booking our son on to next years Holiday Club. Thank you for being an incredible setting. With everything in place to make the setting a secure setting in these challenging times. I can not highly recommend this setting highly enough, and my only regret is that I didn’t find The Shepherd’s Hut when my son was younger. Although extremely brief, he thoroughly enjoyed his time a The Shepherd’s Hut, he bounces through the gate and came out at the end of the day tired and muddy, with stories of what he’d done and the adventures he had with his new friends. Due to Covid, our normal nursery setting stayed closed and having a nearly 5-year-old who is starting centre, I needed to find somewhere for him to go.

They have both adored it since the moment they arrived. Our journeys home‑like from the Shepherds Hut have become my favourite time with the boys as they would be so excited to tell me all about their day. The setting is remarkable with the cosy yurt and delightful Baby Barn. My youngest joined Baby Barn when he was only a few months old. We never had any issues with leaving them and they have always been so excited when we tell them it’s a forest centre day. Both my boys have attended Shepherds Hut since they were extremely young. I couldn’t ask for anything more and I cannot fault this setting. We would have them there five days a week if we could, it’s only our personal logistics that stop this from being the case. The team have always been content, professional, enjoyable and nurturing. Thank you Shepherds Hut for always taking such excellent caregiving of my babies, we will miss you enormously.

It’s one of the only places I feel totally relaxed about him being without me there. My youngest has made lots of friends during his sessions there. It’s such a enjoyable experience for them. They both adore it there. They do a wide range of different activities, and I think it’s fantastic that a lot of them are youngster-led. I can’t highly recommend the holiday club enough, and we will definitely be coming each Easter and summer. I know he’s engaged in lots of activities and well looked after. My eldest son has additional needs and the team have been absolutely fantastic with him. Both my sons have attended the holiday club at Shepherds Hut for 2-years.

Our son has been attending Shepherd’s Hut for a year now and we can’t highly recommend it enough! The kids he meets seem delightful and some of the parents are keen to meet up with their kids for playdates. The team team did their best to help Hugo settle in and we feel they truly go above and beyond with ensuring the kids engage in a variety of creative and development practices, all in a beautiful outdoor setting. We have no hesitation recommending it and will be sending his younger brother there soon too. I wish places such as this existed for primary centre too!

You can tell that all of the team genuinely caregiving about the kids they look after, and the kids in turn benefit hugely from the setting. The owners are both heavily involved and people you immediately know you can trust your kids’s wellbeing and growth with. Could not highly recommend them highly enough, it’s a magical place. Everything about the place is fantastic. Our youngest is banging on the door at home‑like at 7am desperate to get outside! Both of our kids have attended the Shepherds Hut outdoor day nursery and its been absolutely brilliant! They hire fantastic team and run a brilliant nursery.

The team are fantastic and fantastic with the kids. If your son or daughter loves the outdoors, bugs, getting dirty, all weathers and my sons favourite part of the day, the fire pit and marshmallows then this is the place! I can not highly recommend highly enough The Shepherds Hut Outdoor Day Nursery. My son’s both came here during the summer holidays for summer camp and adored it.

This nursery is simply magical and the team strive so hard to ensure that our boys have the fullest childhood possible. Our sons genuinely think that they go to nursery at ‘Never Never Land’, not only because of the incredible dens that they build, or the adventures that they go on daily but because “all the boys and girls are always so content”. We would highly recommend it full-heartedly.
