Highfield Preparatory School & Nursery

My little one has joined the early‑years hub at Highfield for nearly a year. The crew in the early year’s department are all kind and knowledgeable with a good rapport with all youngsters – I have total trust in all crew. My young lady enjoys coming here (she currently joins 3 days a week). In this time, her updates, interpersonal and absorbing in line with EYFS has come on leaps and bounds. Days are varied, with more outdoor activities in the warmer months. The school promotes independence and I have seen my girl become more so since attending. I suggest Highfield to anyone! The class size is small and exceptionally organised. My little one goes to the after school club, ‘The Den’, which I advocate if you need wrap-around care.

Staff turnover is basically zero which was important to us. The classroom is always filled with fun activities and from the minute you enter the early‑years hub you can tell the girls enjoy being there. There is also a strong academic side should your little one be so inclined as to be challenged in that way. Highly, strongly recommended! When my older girl moved up preceding year it was literally “just another day at school” for her and made starting school an easy and stress-free time. The team are nurturing and caring and clearly support for each girl as an individual, spending much time one-to-one with them on a daily basis. Both our girls have flourished in the early‑years hub and have become assured, polite, chatty and charming little girls. The link from the nursery setting to the rest of the school is truly strong and this was an essential for us in terms of preparing our youngsters for moving into Reception. My 2nd girl is currently at Highfield Preparatory School & Nursery and I cannot suggest it wholeheartedly enough.
