Abacus Nursery

My daughter started nursery at 4 months old, she suffers from reflux so can be a handful to settle. Abacus have adapted to her amazingly, supported us in getting her reflux under control and made us feel like part of the nursery family from day one. Considering the age of our daughter and the complexity of her needs we are over the moon with the care provided and are looking forward to the years to come. Our daughter is offered home-cooked meals blended up for weaning, lots of activities even at her young age.

As a first time mother, I was very anxious about leaving my child at a daycare and getting back to work. Abacus helped and ensured they accommodated my timings and helped me reassure he was in safe hands. Our son loves and enjoys the nursery I have always been at peace even on days he isn’t in the best of moods he will be taken care off.
The day is filled with multiple activities and he enjoys them thoroughly the staff is very friendly and caring. I would recommend this nursery. And yes they are very supportive with additional days and schedule changes.

Since our son has been at the nursery, he has thrived. He is supported with his emotional needs and since a recent diagnosis, his health needs have been supported immeasurably. When discussing the diagnosis, the first thing his keyworker said was ‘how can we help?’ Thank you!

Fantastic nursery and staff!
Our daughter started at this nursery in January 2019. It was difficult to leave her but the staff were fantastic with her settling in sessions, very caring and supportive putting us both at ease. She loves going to nursery and often mentions the staff when at home. Her keyworker has been fantastic, very friendly and easy to talk to as are all the staff members. The app is great for keeping you regularly updated with what your child has been doing throughout the day, what they’ve eaten, what sleep they’ve had and the excellent activities they’ve taken part in, the photos we get show us just how much she’s enjoying herself. The meals they are given are healthy and homemade, our daughter often eats seconds. Activities are fun and varied, the active music sessions and French with madame are a particular favourite hers.

We are exceptionally grateful to Abacus Nursery for taking our son in at the last minute when his original nursery was unable to support key workers. Our son has the best time at the nursery and loves the variety of activities and food. His skills have jumped ahead in recent months since his start date in March. He bangs on the car window, points and gets excited nearly every time we pull up to nursery. The staff are also incredible with him, exceptionally friendly and supportive.

During our recent trips to the nursery, we have found a very welcoming service making our child feel welcomed and myself feeling rest assured they will be cared for.

Abacus Nursery is the best nursery I have ever sent my children to. The staff are very dedicated, committed and approachable and nothing is ever too much trouble. They are very child centred at Abacus Nursery and have shown real compassion and understanding about my child’s individual needs. The staff are always smiley and the communication between the nursery and parents is amazing. My son loves attending the nursery and his development has skyrocketed since attending there. They always carry out loads of activities and learning experiences with the kids and I really can’t find anything to fault them on.

Choosing a nursery for our daughter during a pandemic was extremely hard, understandably restrictions meant that we were only able to meet 1 member of staff and view the facilities after hours. I felt that I was handing my child over to perfect strangers without seeing how they interact with other children. However, we met the nursery manager and saw the facilities available and decided to go ahead and secure a place. After 2 x 2-hour settling sessions, our daughter started 3 days a week at the beginning of March 2021, this is a child whose entire life has been subject to social restrictions and not overly socialised! Within 3 weeks she was reaching out for the staff at the door and happily being handed over, the team in the Nest (under 2s) have been so compassionate and understanding that the transition going back to work, which gave me sleepless nights, has been so much easier than I could have imagined. I am so happy with our decision and thankful for the staff.

Our daughter loves going to nursery here and it’s clear to us how beneficial to her development attending has been. The staff are all really lovely, caring, and helpful; the nursery manager particularly has gone out of their way to be very helpful to us and our daughter absolutely adores her key people.

My son absolutely loves this nursery, he is always so happy to go in and the staff are so warm and welcoming. They send out regular updates throughout the day which is great to see. The activities they get up to are very varied and the food they are given is always very nutritious and they are really respectful of diet preferences. Management have always been very responsive in emails and very helpful.
