Ossett Childcare & Pre-School

I immediately became attached to Ossett Childcare & Preschool when I visited to have a look around in 2014 (only been open 6 months then). The open door policy is a great idea, see it how it is, nothing staged. I have watched the nursery grow and the high standards have never dropped.
Both my children attend and they both love it. They both have great relationships with their key workers and the other members of staff. They all take the time to get to know all the children. I have watched my eldest now 2.5 yrs develop so much behaviour, speech and now counting up to 10.
I get very informative updates at the end of each day and the online Learning Book is a brilliant idea, it’s great to look and see photos/videos of what they have been doing each week.
The nursery is very well equipped and always news things being added. The outdoor area has recently been extended and the kids have plenty to keep them occupied outside.

Fantastic caring and positive staff, great communication to parents. Plenty of creative play to keep the children engaged and a fab play area outdoors which is used all year round. Would have no hesitation recommending this nursery, I found out about it through a family member’s recommendation.

Excellent nursery, staff amazing and welcoming, my daughter has gone since she was 11 months old and is now 25 month, she has loved going and since the very first visit and has grown with the same staff members through her learning journey and built really good relationships, I go to work and don’t have any worry about the well-being of my little girl whilst she is in their care, the management team have always assisted thoroughly with any requests we have made, thank you Ossett day care

A safe, secure environment for children of all ethnicities to feel welcome and special. As a mother of 4 Muslim boys, I cannot express enough how the leadership team have adjusted and made my child feel special. My son also has speech problems that staff have helped to develop. He’s attended nursery for his second year now and he has improved in all aspects of learning following the EYES. Security of the building uses fingerprint recognition and CCTV cameras. Activities are all child based, friendly and helpful, exactly what a child needs before starting school at 5. I’ve never had any problems and staff are always updating me on my child’s progress through parents evening, conversations and the learning book online. My only regret is that they don’t have a school so my child doesn’t have to leave!

After looking around many nurseries for my daughter, none compared to Ossett Childcare. My daughter has attended for about 18 months now and I have nothing but praise for the nursery. The staff are what make it, they are all approachable and all have a bond with my child. I leave her knowing she is safe and happy.

My daughter has been attending Ossett Childcare and Pre-school for around 12 months. She absolutely loves going and has done from the very first day! The girls are amazing and are very welcoming and just put you at ease as a parent! My daughter loves all the different activies and food options available. The staff the the nursery are awesome and would recommend to anyone! 5*

Fantastic setting, great staff. My daughter loves coming to nursery and has settled in great. She has learnt so much since starting, she eats a great variety of food.

My little boy has attended here for 2 years and has come on so much. The staff are so personable and clearly dote on every one of their children, and seem to make every child feel like “their special one”. As a teacher, I know the importance of early childhood development, and could not fault the nursery’s provision in the slightest. They gave my son extra support when he needed it to help with a speech delay, and the foundations they’ve helped us as parents to lay will last a lifetime. They update the children’s learning journeys regularly, which is easily accessed on a smart phone, and are always easily contacted during the day. They also update parents daily on what the kids have been getting up to, with photos – being able to see what my son is up to is invaluable, as it helps me miss him slightly less!

I couldn’t recommend this nursery more highly – particularly as I viewed 7 different nurseries in the local area before picking this one, and none of the others came close.

My daughter has been attending here since she was 9-months-old and is now three. She has thrived being at nursery and skips-in every day. The practitioners are helpful, friendly and so caring.
Every experience we have had with the nursery has been a positive one. They are always on hand to talk to, and the in house app for parents is great. The practitioners really care about all thee children. I would definitely recommend this setting to everyone.
