September 21, 2024 at 6:24 pmThey have great facilities, especially the garden and clear and fair procedures. My kid has developed educationally, socially and has consistently been cheerful to go to childcare centre. The childcare centre has low turnover of team so you get continuity.

January 19, 2025 at 9:10 pmOur eldest has been going for more than two years and has done wonderfully well there. Updates from childcare centre about his development has consistently been great and he’s come on so much since he started. As you’d expect, to be honest, in two years, but still. It feels like Portland House have played their part in helping him be the fantastic little boy he is today. He loves going there, feels comfortable with the people who look after him and has a group of friends who he truly loves playing with. Our youngest has started within the last few weeks and has had a slightly bumpy start, with a few days off poorly setting him back slightly with settling in but the team have been truly remarkable with him. He’s doing a little better every day. Updates from childcare centre has been remarkable throughout and it feels like he’s truly well cared for there. We sense truly lucky to have found Portland House.

February 1, 2025 at 3:25 amThe team are excellent and as a first-time mum, they have made me sense comfortable with leaving my daughter. I sense assured that she is secure, secure and cheerful while she’s there. She is such a chatty, confident independent little girl and Portland House have played a part in that. She learns through playtime and consistently comes home talking about childcare centre and what she’s done.
The feedback you get from team is excellent and the events they hold to include parents such as stay and plays are excellent for both my daughter and me to sense part of the childcare centre.
My daughter has special dietary requirements which initially I was worried about, but I didn’t need to be. The cook ensures she has just as fabulous menus as everyone else and she is consistently supervised at meal times.
I cannot suggest Portland House enough. Definitely made the right choice for my daughter here. My daughter is now two and a half and has been at Portland House since she was 10 months.

February 5, 2025 at 10:00 pmMy first and only kid attends here and loves it. The team here are remarkable, easily approachable and nothing is too much. They make you sense involved as a parent.
My daughter is coming on in leaps and bounds and the childcare centre fills her with self‑assurance. She sleeps the best she ever sleeps at night when she’s had a full day at childcare centre. She has the freedom to express herself and they embrace that. I adore what they do here and so glad I chose Portland for my daughter.
Also, the food is outstanding. She has opportunities to eat and try things we don’t have at home which I adore. I cannot suggest Portland Childcare centre enough.

March 15, 2025 at 6:28 amI didn’t need to worry, the team at Portland House, especially in the baby room, have been absolutely remarkable with both of us – settling her and reassuring me!
It amazes me how much I see childcare centre has benefited her, she loves it and is all smiles when I drop her off in the morning and when I collect her at the end of the day. I know how cheerful she is there throughout the day which makes me happier leaving her.
Thank you to all the team at Portland House, especially Buttercups for looking after my little girl so well. Although I had worked with kids previously I was still nervous about leaving my little girl.

March 25, 2025 at 5:52 amI am just coming to the end of our time there with my two daughters (2011-2014 and 2015-2018). Both of my kids have been so well cared for in each phase of baby, toddler and preschool room. The team are all truly approachable and I sense have truly got to know my kids during their time there. The childcare centre is consistently calm and has a pleasant sense to it. I’m confident when I drop my daughter off that she will have a excellent day playing outside, discovering, eating healthy food and getting truly messy (which she loves) with adults who have a genuine adore for kids. I’ll be truly sorry to say goodbye. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest Portland House Childcare centre (and do so to anyone looking for a childcare centre place).

Team provide kids with the best start in life in terms of their education and the toddler room sets them up perfectly for reception class. All three of my kids have attended Portland House Childcare centre and the standard of care has never been less than outstanding.

April 8, 2025 at 4:44 pmIt has been noted by the school she now attends, that they often are able to identify those kids that have been to a Portland Childcare centre.
I would highly suggest Portland House, not just the level of care and discovering, but for the “personal” relationship between the kids, parents and childcare centre.
All practitioners will endeavour to get as much out of the relationship with our kids as they do out of us as parents. It feels more personable when we are able to relate our experiences with theirs. It almost feels like they are the same team as us parents.
Portland have helped us immensely with specific things we can do to help discovering and creativity in our kids. Often we sense childcare centre is a high cost burden but this is worth every single penny. We have our second kid currently going through at Portland House.
Our daughter went through 2014 to 2017 and we were truly impressed by the care, attention to detail and the level of discovering and self‑assurance she has gained.

April 19, 2025 at 9:54 amBefore he started going to childcare centre, my baby was exclusively breastfed and would only nap on the move! He also was never babysat by anyone – consistently looked after by me and his dad only. We were terribly worried he wouldn’t settle easily but he surprised us both, thanks to the skill, journey and kindness of the team. Now he naps easily, eats loads and looks like he just wants to keep playing when I go to collect him. I can tell that he loves his keyworker and all of the team in the baby room. I would suggest this childcare centre to anyone. Portland House Childcare centre is outstanding.

May 4, 2025 at 6:32 amShe did fantastically well and I think the move was a excellent opportunity as she is so cheerful here. She is consistently excited to go on a morning and loves all the team. She shows advances in her development on a weekly basis and consistently comes home bursting to tell me about her day. The team are fantastic, they inform us of any concerns and highlights appropriately and consistently listen. I would highly suggest this childcare centre. My daughter started at Portland House during the pandemic so settling in was a concern.

The childcare centre has become a secure and joyful place for our daughter; you have put a excellent effort to assistance our daughter – she took a while to settle into the new routine but the team were consistently patient with her and did everything they could to make her comfortable and cheerful.

June 8, 2025 at 1:59 pmThe team are exceptional at providing a wide range of activities to expand my kids’s interests, they have a vast knowledge of EYFS, and how to move them on to the next steps.
My kids have made excellent relationships within the bluebells room both with kids and team and they have encouraged them to gain secure, secure and inclusive relationships.
They have treated my kids as individuals, shown them respect, and let them create, explore, grow, understand the world and setting.
Exceptional childcare centre and would highly suggest to anyone. Portland house childcare centre has just been incredible and the care they have given my kids has been second to none, they have outstanding provision across all areas of the childcare centre.
They have excellent knowledge of kids with additional needs and have provided such adore, care and devotion to my son and provided resources he has needed to grow and develop.
