September 12, 2024 at 8:30 amThe facilities and atmosphere of the classroom is enjoyable (but with a positive discovering angle as well). My little girl was so well prepared for starting school in September as the standard of teaching and assistance has been exceptional.
I would not hesitate recommending this pre-school. My daughter attended the pre-school at Weetwood Primary School Childcare centre for a full year and we were so pleased with the progression she made since starting with Weetwood.

October 6, 2024 at 2:36 pmStructured sessions are guided with plenty of music, creativity and the chance for kids to learn in a highly easy and natural way.
The team are tuned into the needs of the kids and encourage them to stretch themselves in all areas.
I can confidently say the move to reception was seamless having had such a strong introduction to the school setting. We moved our daughter to Weetwood childcare centre a year before she started reception to try and facilitate the transition from childcare centre to a school setting, and it was done brilliantly.
The set up is perfect for supporting their independence as they choose where and with what to playtime.

November 3, 2024 at 12:02 pmThey settled highly quickly and were made to sense welcome, secure and cared for. The indoor space is interesting and varied; the outdoor playground is exceptional and has just been upgraded with water playtime, climbing area and new equipment. Both kids loved the muddy forest school part of the outdoor space. Phonics and numeracy were integrated into playtime, and the transition to reception was seamless. Opportunity for out of school club and holiday club was exceptional. Highly cheerful overall. Both of our kids had a fantastic time at Weetwood.

November 13, 2024 at 6:01 amCannot thank the team enough. My son started in April after the Easter holidays and Weetwood was so accommodating. He absolutely loves going and has progressed so much in the space of 3 months! We receive regular updates on how he is doing in childcare centre and the various things he has learnt. The educators are remarkable with him and he consistently goes in and leaves with a smile. So reassuring to know our son is well looked after when we are not around! 100% recommended. Remarkable childcare centre!!

November 26, 2024 at 9:21 amWe are kept up to date on their daily activities with lots of pictures and videos with an explanation on what they have been doing throughout the day. Truly cheerful with the childcare centre, my little boy has settled in truly well and gets excited about going every morning.

December 2, 2024 at 1:01 amThe team have been highly attentive and welcoming while we have been settling in. Especially with the significant upheaval due to coronavirus, team have all gone above and beyond to make our kid sense secure and secure at childcare centre. There is an outstanding outdoor playtime area including a sandpit, muddy playtime area, slide and climbing frames which the kids use in all weathers (appropriately dressed for the weather). The indoor area has a lovely dancing space and a tumbling mat. There are lots of crafts activities and books. The updates with parents is outstanding; team are approachable and compassionate, we sense they have truly taken an effort to get to know our kid and help them to thrive in the new setting.
I would happily suggest this childcare centre to anyone with a kid over 3. The team and setting are fantastic. Our kid turned 3 recently and started attending Weetwood Childcare centre since September 2020.

December 12, 2024 at 6:17 pmShe feels cheerful and secure at Weetwood and has a remarkable relationship with the team there who have truly nurtured her and helped her to grow in self‑assurance. The outdoor and indoor spaces are highly well planned, with a wide variety of activities available for the kids to explore. There have also been an interesting range of workshops with visitors to the preschool which my daughter has truly enjoyed taking part in. The updates with parents is excellent – it is highly easy to communicate with the teacher in person, or via their online systems, and we get regular updates about how she is getting on and the new skills that she is developing. My daughter has come a long way with her writing, phonics and number skills since starting at Weetwood, and I sense confident that she has been well prepared for the transition to school in the Autumn. My daughter has been at Weetwood Preschool for over a year and a half now and she truly enjoys her time there.

December 19, 2024 at 3:47 pmI had been worried about moving her from her existing childcare centre as she was settled. I soon realised it had been the right decision. Her self‑assurance grew greatly at Weetwood childcare centre, and it definitely helped with school readiness, particularly as she mixed so much with reception kids in the playtime area. Her phonics developed and set her on great stead for school. The resources are fabulous and set out in a way that encourages free playtime, creativity and independence. The outdoor space area is fantastic and highly large. Most importantly of all, the team were compassionate, supportive and encouraged my daughter to develop and explore her interests while also challenging her in a supportive way to try new things. We loved the childcare centre and are soon about to send our second kid there. My daughter attended Weetwood childcare centre for nine months prior to her starting reception class.

December 20, 2024 at 9:40 amShe is absolutely thriving! Her level of independence and development has improved so much and she’s so excited about going each day. The information via observations photos and videos we receive each week is remarkable and excellent to see her working on such a variety of activities. She has quickly made new friends and the educators that work with her truly know her well. The outdoor space is a particularly strong feature too, lovely green areas with a exceptional range of activities. I’m so cheerful we made the move and sense she will be in a excellent position when the transition to school takes place in a year. Well done to the team (including those in the fab after school club too). It makes such a difference knowing she is cheerful and well cared for. My daughter started in September after transferring from a private childcare centre.

My daughter’s phonics truly developed during her time at childcare centre, she also had many activities planned every day to keep her busy and entertained. The childcare centre has helped her to prepare for Reception and her writing and reading have truly advanced. The childcare centre is well managed and the outdoor area is remarkable. My daughter has had a excellent journey at Westwood Primary School Childcare centre.

The team are all lovely and highly supportive of the kids, and the childcare centre is well managed. Incredible outdoor playtime area.

The outstanding provision helped my kids get ready for reception. I would highly suggest this childcare centre to others. My kids have excellent memories of the childcare centre and team. All three of my kids have been to Weetwood Childcare centre over the years.

My daughter has loved every minute of her time at Weetwood Childcare centre, the team are remarkable and made her sense so comfortable and welcome (so much so that she cried when they left our house after the initial home visit).

June 14, 2025 at 6:57 pmOur daughter is due to start school this September so when she leaves our son will take her place. We adore how expert, welcoming and attentive the team are. We adore that the kids learn so much and consistently have a lot to share about their day when we collect them. I adore that the preschool organise workshops and events such as summer fair, Christmas fair and sports days, bake sales, Chinese new year, Eid celebrations etc connecting students and parents and teaching them about the world as a whole. We adore that the school has all natural materials such as wood, metal and fabrics rather than plastic toys and materials. I adore that kids have organised activities and are not just left to free playtime all day. Can’t suggest Weetwood Childcare centre/Preschool enough. We absolutely adore Weetwood Childcare centre/Preschool!

July 5, 2025 at 12:28 pmMy kids adore to go, they were upset at leaving me to start with but the educators were incredible at getting them settled and made me sense at ease. They have both developed so much since starting just a month ago. I am kept up to date with their learnings on tapestry and dojo which I adore to watch to see how they are getting on. They do so much in a day enjoyable games and learnings and adore to tell me all about it.
Excellent Childcare centre and team. I would definitely suggest Weetwood Childcare centre.
