ParkingUnfortunately Thornton Lodge doesn't have any car parking facilities on site, however all Visitors and Parents can use King Edward Road to park above the nursery, to ensure free access up and down James Street in peak times, parking outside the nursery on the main road is available, but advise the use of King Edwards Road.

VisitingThornton Lodge welcomes all parents and children to come and visit them for a show around, without making prior arrangements. They would love to see you, so please do not hesitate to give them a call or drop in.

DirectionsThornton Lodge is located in the heart of Thornton Village - travelling away from Bradford Centre on (B6145) Thornton Road. Head right in to Thornton Village, the COOP is on the left hand side turn left on to James Street, on the left hand side Thornton Lodge is situated.

The manager is exceptional and a real driving force for the incredible changes at the childcare centre. Would strongly suggest. October 18, 2024 at 2:22 amMy kids have been kept secure, thrived and well prepared for school life. the discovering environments are high quality and outdoor discovering is a priority which my boys loved. Updates is great and the setting is managed well by the Childcare centre Manager. There isn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for you. I highly suggest Thornton Lodge to prospective parents. Both my kids have attended this childcare centre it is an incredible place with welcoming team who put kids at the heart of everything that they do.

She has also gained lots of friends and she would attend every day if I would allow her to, which is why I started my baby at Thornton Lodge. She has come on leaps and bounds. I recently changed the childcare centre for my little girl and noticed the positive impact Thornton Lodge has had on her.

The team are highly attentive and committed to ensuring that my kids are secure, well and know how to assistance their development. Updates is great and team consistently give regular feedback on daily activities, including food, which my two boys adore! I would highly suggest this childcare centre to everyone. I have two boys who have both attended Thornton Lodge since they were nine months old.

March 3, 2025 at 11:47 pmHad to move my son as his childcare centre he had been at for 2 years shut and they did everything in their power to welcome him and settle him. The team are all exceptional, lots of different playtime areas and his phonic knowledge has come along leaps and bounds. He loves going to childcare centre and has made some remarkable friendships that he will carry on to primary.
My daughter also attends the baby room and as a baby who was highly clingy they have truly helped her settle and she truly enjoys going now.
The childcare centre manager is highly approachable and does everything in his power to accommodate parent’s needs and to involve parents in their kid’s development. Absolutely exceptional childcare centre.

He is highly well fed with a great range of choices. They have incredible facilities (including outdoor space) and a excellent range of toys. The team keep a excellent record of his achievements and targets and seem to do more than is required of them. He has bonded well with the team. The team also plan excellent activities/parties on occasions e.g Halloween and Christmas, which he thoroughly enjoys. My son has been attending for just over a year.
