Blue Sky Day Nursery (York)

I was super nervous with such a change in setting, especially being born in lockdown. The childcare centre team however were so reassuring and assured me my daughter will be well looked after. She settled in quickly and now enjoys childcare centre, and looks forward to going. They do so many meaningful activities and she has come on in leaps and bounds in her development. The childcare centre team are excellent with her and know her so well. Three members of team are many of her favourites. She has developed such a excellent bond with one team member, in particular, which is also excellent for me to see that she is bonding and mixing with other people including making lots of friends. My daughter started childcare centre in August last year as my maternity was coming to an end.

She had a settling in session which went well.
All the team are highly welcoming, expert and treat my little one like their own.
She thoroughly enjoys every day she’s there.
The childcare centre even accommodates extra days as and when I need them. My daughter started with Blue Sky when she was about a year old.
I was offered a full walk around the childcare centre before joining.

It is smaller than her previous childcare centre, and that seems to be benefitting her. She comes home talking about her friends and is cheerful to go back the next day. All of the team seem lovely and are consistently supportive and consistently tell you a bit about what the kids have been doing. They are also great at accommodating any changes to your schedule. My daughter started at this childcare centre recently, and she seems to adore it here.

The team are fantastic and consistently willing to answer any and all questions. The food must be outstanding as my daughter would eat practically anything they made her which is unheard of at home. They remained open as a childcare hub throughout COVID and were and are truly flexible with hours before, during and after these uncertain times. The steps they put in place to reduce possible COVID cases meant that up until my daughter left the last week of August there had not been a single instance of COVID illness or other illness in the childcare centre.
The childcare centre say they will treat your kid as if they were one of their own and it’s 100% real. My daughter loved it so much that she couldn’t wait to get in there and cried in the car on the way home because she loved them so much.
They are most definitely our 1st choice and recommendation for kid care cover and for holiday clubs going forward now my daughter is at school. My daughter has absolutely loved being at Blue Sky Day Childcare centre.

Moreover, my daughter truly enjoys attending the childcare centre because there consistently are plenty of activities which help her development of knowledge and self‑assurance. I am pleased that my daughter attends Blue Sky Day Childcare centre because they definitely provide outstanding quality of care.
The team are highly skilled and the kids’s safety is their priority.

I was highly impressed at the settling in session. They were highly creative with the paints and even used objects and toys to paint with, for example, car tracks. My daughter has never laughed so much since she got there and she even said goodbye to all the team. A highly outstanding little childcare centre tucked away and doesn’t consistently get the publicity it deserves. They have a massive playtime area outside which includes real playtime mud kitchen equipment. They get regular snacks here which include fruit as they promote healthy eating and consistently have water to hand. I look forward to sending my little boy there too when he’s older. If you’re looking for a childcare centre for your kid then look no further, send them here, they even take the free government funding. They even provide a creche service at £6 an hour and the team are so down to earth and chilled out, I sense highly secure and cheerful to leave my kid/kids in their care. Can’t believe how well tuned the team are to the needs of the kids.

My son started here when he was nine months old and now, almost two, he thoroughly enjoys his time there. He loves all of the team, including the manager of the childcare centre, who spends alot of time getting to know all of the kids.

Blue Sky team are consistently highly cheerful, smiley and enthusiastic, and they truly do treat the kids as if they were their own. The outside space is excellent, and they provide a great range of creative activities for the kids to engage with. I would not hesitate to suggest this childcare centre to anyone. Blue Sky is an absolutely remarkable provider.

Our oldest has been going since he was around 10 weeks old when I went to the gym next door I would pop him in the Adhoc creche sessions. our now 2 year old and 10 month old both go and absolutely adore it, we never get a second glance when they go in at the start of the day. The team are fabulous with them both and they are thriving, they are consistently doing something and most of the time they are outside in a secure garden which is lovely to see. Working shifts and offering flexible childcare this childcare centre is an absolute dream for our family and so glad that we found it. Both my boys adore the deputy manager. I also adore that we get a detailed rundown of what they have done in the day both great and bad. I would absolutely suggest this place. Both my boys go here and absolutely adore it.

The team are all so welcoming, supportive and attentive. They have a genuine interest in the kids and make sure parents are updated daily with verbal handover and notes. Their facilities are exceptional, a huge outside area means they can be outside as much as possible, even in cooler weather and their open plan kitchen means the kids can see where their food is coming from. My daughter loves going to childcare centre, there is so much going on with different activities for her and it is a huge relief to us to have found a childcare centre like Blue Sky I can’t suggest the childcare centre, and all of the exceptional team there, enough. Blue Sky is a remarkable childcare centre.
