Smiley Stars Nursery - Crosshill

The team there are absolute angels. My son (2) goes one day a week, but he still has a excellent bond with his key workers, and they have been so supportive of him with potty training. My daughter (3.5) has been going three days a week since the funding kicked in, and she has come on in leaps and bounds in that time. She can write her name, sing a million different songs and comes home telling me all about her friends and what they have been playing and discovering about that day. The ladies take them on trips to the park, drop food at the food bank, and they’ve been out litter picking too. Outside space isn’t massive as the childcare centre is in a house, but the trips offsite make up for this, and they use the space they have well. Food is pescatarian which took a little bit of getting used to the meat substitute products, but they both come home with full tummies, so can’t complain. Overall, very cheerful with the childcare centre! I have two kids in Smiley Stars, one in the 3-5 room and one in the 2-3 room.

She had made incredible bonds with the key worker and comes out of childcare centre daily and tells me about all the exciting things she has done that day! She enjoys playing on the computer when it is her turn and doing pictures and playing in the garden. This childcare centre has done incredible settling in my pre-school daughter and she is loving it!

My kid has recently moved up to a new room and has settled in no problem. They absolutely adore being at childcare centre and get so much stimulation with imaginative playtime, crafts, music, outdoor activities etc. They’re consistently so cheerful to go each day (2 days a week).
I get updates in a daily diary on what they ate, a couple of activities they did and info on naps and nappy changes. I also get pics sent on the app sometimes too which is consistently nice to see. Great childcare centre, still one of the more affordable ones too.

All the team are excellent and provide excellent care. I now have my second kid in this childcare centre and she, like her older brother loves it.

They keep the kids occupied at all times discovering new games and songs. We are calm because we know that our kid is cheerful there having enjoyable with friends. Overall I am really cheerful, my kid is cheerful as well.

My wee one is clearly cheerful to be dropped off and equally cheerful at pickup. Leaving your kid in someone else’s care is consistently difficult, but I am glad to have the Smiley Stars team looking after mine. We have been very cheerful with the entire team at Smiley Stars.

My kids have been at the childcare centre since 2019, and all the team over the years have been fantastic. Since Smiley Stars have taken over the childcare centre, we have seen lots of positive changes, such as improving and updating the playrooms, implementing new security measures and securing outside spaces.

The team are consistently welcoming and cheerful. The kids are consistently fed well and cheerful when we drop them off and collect. Excellent childcare centre, the kids consistently have great activities throughout the day which contributes to their discovering.

She has gained excellent relationships with the team and pupils. She loves all the activities that they do including litter picking and yoga (not together).
All the team are very welcoming and compassionate. Our daughter loves going to childcare centre.

We found the registration process simple yet comprehensive and he settled in very quickly. Updates between team and parents is outstanding, the online journals are informative and the new updates function is a welcome addition. All team are inviting, welcoming and genuinely care about the kids. We sense our son is well looked after and is being supported with all aspects of his development. Our son has attended Mayfield Private Childcare centre for 6 months.
