Whalley Meadows Private Day Nursery and Forest School, Clitheroe

The team are all welcoming and know all the kids’s names, even when they’re not in the same room as them. My son does a wide range of activities at childcare centre and consistently goes in fine. He’s recently moved up to another room and the transition period has been excellent. He’s really benefited from a slow introduction to the room and we are so cheerful we picked Whalley Meadows. My son has been attending Whalley Meadows for over a year and he loves it.

The team who are attentive for him are fantastic and a blessing to both the babies and parents. The activities they complete are different to what we do at home and I have seen him develop through the time spent at childcare centre with the team and other kids. At the end of each day, the team in the room are all able to share what has happened that day in terms of what has been eaten and nap times as well as activities they’ve done. I sense so cheerful leaving him in their care here as I know he is cheerful and well looked after. Our little boy is currently in the baby room and absolutely loves it.

The team consistently let us know about her day for example how much off she has had and if there were any activities that morning and make sure our daughter feels secure and well looked after. We adore the Discovering Books as it keeps us updated concerning activities throughout the day.

Towards the end of my Daughter’s time at the Childcare centre, her Key Worker changed 3 times over a 6 month period, which is not ideal during the transitional phase to school.
Updates is minimal and I almost felt that I was a burden asking what my Daughter had done during the day, eaten, etc when I came to collect her.
I complained as to the lack of information provided on the app and was told they only have to provide a minimum of 1 update per week. Expect the bare minimum. Assessments are completed without detail, again I had to press for a detailed one before starting school.
Just Childcare is now holding my deposit (in breach of their own terms) and I will be proceeding with legal action to recover. Unfortunately, our journey of Whalley Meadows is poor, and had my Daughter not been settled having attended since 12 months old, we would have sought alternative arrangements.
Our journey started well but following a change in management, a high team turnover became apparent.

Our son started when he was 1 year old, he settled in very quickly and gets so excited when we pull up outside. His self‑assurance and character have really started to shine. It is very clear that he has a inviting and trusting relationship with the ladies at the childcare centre who take care of him. It was such a huge decision where to send our kid and I’m so cheerful and thankful that we chose such a fantastic setting. Needless to say, we would highly suggest it. Absolutely delighted with Whalley Meadows Childcare centre.

Forrest school is really great, she consistently has a excellent time there. She is cheerful there and I sense cheerful that she enjoys it The team seem attentive and there are varied activities based partly on what the kids are interested in.

The care and adore he’s been given have helped him grow into the funny, cheeky little man he’s become. He loves coming to childcare centre and loves the team too.
He loves going to forest school. Thank you all for helping him grow in self‑assurance. My grandson was a very nervous little boy when he first started at Whalley Meadows.

Enjoys going outside with the forest school and had excellent enjoyable over Christmas doing the nativity and going to her first pantomime.
Could not suggest the team highly enough. An outstanding childcare centre that my daughter loves.

All the team are welcoming, understanding and enjoyable. Our daughter loves going and we can’t wait to see her changes in the next year. A big thank you. We are very cheerful with how our daughter is cared for.

She’s taken a lot of time to settle, mainly due to her own personality and being part-time. However, I can only commend the team for being consistent and persevering with her. Their friendliness each day for her and making sure she has a enjoyable day has made her get to a point where she enjoys being there and drop-offs are much easier now.
I sense comfortable leaving my little girl in their care and the setting is inviting.
The only thing I would like is more about what she’s done in the day, in terms of discovering/activities. My little girl has been attending part-time at the childcare centre for the past 7 months.
