Heron Day Nursery

A fantastic nursery that both my children have attended, one is still there. They help children with learning, with the added touch of care and compassion. I have rarely had problems with the nursery, but any issues are dealt with quickly and respectfully. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough and will be sad when my youngest leaves.

I was extremely nervous about sending my 9-month-old to the nursery over 18 months ago. But as soon as she started in the baby room for her taster days I soon relaxed. She is now in the toddler room and loves it so much. The staff are brilliant and they put a lot of energy and effort into making each day fun for them. They hold lots of different activities and charity events and we often hear back on how she is doing and responding to the other children. The nursery is very accommodating and has changed our daughters days when we have struggled with childcare.

Both our children have attended Heron Day Nursery. We have found all staff to be friendly, approachable and helpful. We have found that staff have gone out of their way to help both children in their learning and development, and constantly seem to think of new, fun ways to help children develop in all areas of learning. One of our children had anxieties about being away from mum and dad, but staff and his key worker helped put him, and us, at ease. Our other child absolutely loves nursery, her key worker and other staff are fantastic with her.

My son really enjoys going to Heron Day Nursery, he has been attending since he was 6months old. He has built a bond with all the staff who are always friendly and welcoming. The staff keep me updated with my child’s progress. They always add observations, photos and daily notes to tell me how my child is throughout the day. He always comes home and tells me all about the nursery and he is always happy to attend.

Very good nursery, my little girl has been there since she was six months old and she is three now. She absolutely loves going and loves all her teachers, they have helped my girl learn a lot. It will be a sad day when she leaves to go to school.

My son has attended this nursery from being a baby and is due to leave to go to school soon and will miss all his new friends and staff as he has a good relationship with them all. All the staff are friendly and make us feel welcome. The nursery is a safe and clean environment and I would recommend this to anyone looking.

We use holiday club here and my daughter absolutely loves it. There’s so much for them to do, and even after a full day I struggle to get her to leave. She also recently went on a farm trip, which was her first day without mum/dad and she’s had a really positive experience. I have complete trust in the staff who clearly love their job!

It’s an outstanding nursery that attends to every need of the individual child. My child has come along way since starting, the baby room love and care for him, have helped him and followed his routine. I am completely at rest when my child is at nursery knowing he is safe and very well looked after and I couldn’t thank the staff here enough.

Great wraparound care for my two children. They love attending and have developed lovely relationships with staff. Great range of activities offered for holiday club that take the children’s interests into account.

What a lovely nursery our two little ones went at two years old and stayed all the way through to leaving for school, and they now go to after school club. The main thing that drew us to this nursery is the staff, and how welcoming they are when each individual child comes into the nursery and leaves. With five years of experience myself in childcare. They are so attentive to each child’s needs and wants which makes it feel so much better when leaving our children. The information they gave for both our children was very informative, but also you could tell it was personally done to each of our child’s wants and needs. A fantastic nursery with lovely food the children talk about. To the staff and the management who are so welcoming and friendly, 10/10.
