We’re extremely cheerful with everything the childcare centre offers our kids and are lucky to have such a fantastic childcare centre available to us in the area. We currently have our eldest two boys at the childcare centre, who are 4 and 3 and will also be sending our baby girl to the childcare centre in May. The team are incredible; they go the extra mile to look after us as a family. The kids consistently say how much they delight in childcare centre, and our boys adore the show and tell sessions! The extra work that goes on behind the scenes to bring special occasions to life such as Christmas time is unbelievable; the team, kids and parents of the kids are all one big family. Would highly suggest! Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery is an incredible place!

My son adores his educators and is consistently cheerful and excited to go in the morning – he also loves the food, which is a plus! We recently moved here from the States and have greatly appreciated the team’s kindness and generosity. My 3-year-old son attends Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery and loves it!

He really enjoys the 3-days a week he stays at Sir Leslie’s, and he’s consistently willing to stay there in the morning without even crying. Don’t hesitate if you want to choose this childcare centre for your kid. Amazing people, incredible activities, and genuinely nice and emphatic team. Thank you all. I am extremely cheerful with the level of care my baby has received since he was 11-months of age.

October 19, 2024 at 1:24 pmWe were really impressed with the inviting welcome, transparent updates and remarkable set-up when we visited to look around. I knew as soon as I met the team, saw the baby room and discovered the offer of childcare available that this was the childcare centre for us! The baby room allows for lots of adventure, a quiet sleeping area and access to a secure outdoor area. As the baby grows, they move into different more appropriate areas of the childcare centre. The location is ideal for us living in the area with supportive opening times.
Since starting the childcare centre, my daughter has developed her social skills, physical strength and self‑assurance. She enjoys the excellent meals offered, which is a large variety of different foods. The childcare centre has worked within our daughter’s routines in order to assist with an easier transition.
The team all take the right approach towards the kids. We initially chose this childcare centre because of the remarkable reputation it has within the village and surrounding areas.

December 7, 2024 at 4:52 pmFirst of all, they are small, so the transition from home to childcare centre seems less scary, and I was super correct. My little boy started his discovering journey at 11-months-old, and although there was some crying, it was so little, and every time I picked him up at the end of the day, he was so cheerful, and I felt he was secure and everyone was attentive him so well.
Another important thing was how inclusive and diverse the childcare centre is. See I am Portuguese, so for me, it is very important to have a place where I know he will learn English and English culture, but there is space to learn other cultures and languages, and team at Sir Leslie are super open to discovering about Portugal.
Also, the team has a male member as a teacher, which is pretty uncommon, and I thought it is excellent for my baby to learn how males also are part of raising a kid, and it is not only mummy.
It has been super incredibly months, and he is developing in an impressive way. Highly suggest Sir Leslie Martin. Why did I decide on this childcare centre?

All of the team go over and above in every situation, and having a kid with allergies, makes us sense he is in such secure and capable hands.
We sense so lucky to have found such a well managed and family-oriented childcare centre where our son can grow and learn. It really is a home from home.

February 28, 2025 at 4:21 amShe started in the baby room and absolutely loved it from day one; there’s no better feeling knowing your little one is cheerful and content to go into the childcare centre. The team in the baby room are absolute angels. Being in the baby room with those girls made our kid flourish into a strong, confident and attentive little girl. She’s now moved on to the toddler room, and the level of care and attention from all the girls in that room is still second to none! Our toddler struggled with the transition, which is completely normal and natural, and the team really helped work with us to make sure. She began to understand and delight in her new surroundings, and now she bounds in every morning, not even a look back. Thank you to the owner and manager for creating a secure setting full of adore and respect. They’re not just a childcare centre; they’re family. Our little girl has gone here from 10-months-old, and she’s now two and a half.

Well run, consistently welcoming. Wonderful tasty food menu. Could not fault this childcare centre. Fantastic childcare centre.

March 22, 2025 at 4:44 amOur little boy started at Sir Leslie Martin in April 2021 aged 3.
Having been through lockdown, missing key socialisation and not having been in a “childcare centre” setting before, he was very shy and fretful of being left alone without me there.
I was extremely nervous about him starting but knew it would be for the best in order to prepare him for school.
After a couple of sessions, the transformation was incredible, he was asking to do more days, and when out and about, he was no longer the kid clinging to me – but excited and confident to mix with others!
The most comforting part of this development was the fondness in which he spoke of his room leader – speaking of her on a daily basis and excited to see her again, demonstrating the utter trust he has so quickly developed for someone outside of our family.
Most mornings start with “is it preschool today?” – a true testament to the quality of care at Sir Leslie Martin.

The team have consistently been welcoming towards us and attentive towards our daughter.
She consistently comes home cheerful and loves to talk about the room leaders. We’ve been a part of the childcare centre for nearly 2-years.

April 13, 2025 at 3:55 amWe have had to take our two out of childcare centre for a period due to having to shield, the childcare centre has consistently accommodated our requirements. The kids have sometimes found it hard to settle in due to the time out of childcare centre but the team have consistently made a special effort to help their transition back to regular attendance. We have two kids, 2 and 4 at the childcare centre and I have to say we have found it to be a excellent childcare centre, both kids really do delight in it and the team have consistently been excellent.
It’s not been an easy year with lockdown and isolation rules, it must have been a logistical nightmare but the childcare centre has seemed to take it in their stride and has taken appropriate steps when required.

April 17, 2025 at 5:37 amWe have been so delighted with the move, and thanks to the incredible, cheerful and supportive team, the transition and new start have been seamless. My son is like a new boy after starting; he loves it there so much, and his self‑assurance has come on leaps and bounds. The team are all so welcoming and really supported us, going out of their way to help with any concerns and settling in. We noticed how truly passionate and attentive the team are treating each kid uniquely and really getting to know them rather than them being lost in the numbers. It’s a true home from home sense. We’re so cheerful we made the change and would really suggest the childcare centre. Additionally, I’m consistently amazed by the quality and variety of the food, and how they make the most of the remarkable outdoor space they have. We recently started our daughter in the baby room at the childcare centre, and in doing so, transitioned our 3-year-old into the preschool.

Sir Leslie Martin is a inviting, welcoming, loving setting, and the kids are cheerful and at home there. It really is a home from home, as the girls look after the kids with such adore, and they genuinely care about every single kid.
Meals are nutritious, and as our little girl consistently seems to eat all that is offered to her, delicious too!
I would suggest this childcare centre to anyone and everyone. Our little girl has been in the baby room at Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery for the past year, and she has loved every second!

May 14, 2025 at 1:25 amThe ladies in the baby room were absolutely incredible and she adored them all. She couldn’t get in there quick enough every morning – leaving me for dust! I noticed her development came on leaps and bounds as soon as she started.
She is now in the toddler room and throughly enjoying it. She took a little bit to adapt but I think it was just the change. The girls were remarkable with settling her in and every time I pick her up she is smiling from ear to ear saying what a enjoyable day she has had. Any issues that have ever arisen have been dealt with promptly and efficiently. I have complete faith in everyone that works there and I know my daughter is in excellent hands. Our daughter has been going to Sir Lesley Martin Day Nursery since she was 9 months old and loved it from the first day she was there.

June 13, 2025 at 8:05 pmNaturally, we were anxious about her starting childcare centre after spending so much time as a lockdown baby but the smaller class size has suited her so well allowing her to rapidly develop in self‑assurance and social skills. The team are inviting, welcoming and very approachable. I would highly suggest the childcare centre to other parents. My daughter has been at the childcare centre since the age of 14 months and in the short time she has been there, I can honestly say she has flourished!

From both the management and care team they are very welcoming, and the kids consistently look to be having enjoyable. All team are excellent, and we would have no hesitation in strongly recommending the childcare centre to anyone with kids in the area. Our daughter has attended Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery twice, first when she was very young and latterly in the year and a half prior to her starting primary school.

July 6, 2025 at 8:25 amThere is also a real variety of activities that are done on a daily basis, and the development in my daughter’s speech, language and overall mannerisms has been excellent. The childcare centre is bright and cheerful and a real discovering setting – also, the fact they pride themselves on being a small, independent day childcare centre is evident – the fact they are smaller than some other nurseries definitely enables my daughter to build some real relationships with the team, but also with the parents too. The childcare centre has been remarkable for my daughter – the team are the real shining stars; they approach everything with such enthusiasm and warmth that my daughter would be skipping into childcare centre every day.

July 7, 2025 at 4:42 amMy 3-year-old has made some lovely friends and thoroughly enjoys his days at Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery. The carers have a great balance between being enjoyable and firm, expecting great manners and behaviour from the kids. The outdoor explorers is incredible, my son loves being able to learn in the outdoors and the big room garden is remarkable for him. He learns soo much in childcare centre, when discovering numbers, letters and colours it’s all achieved in a enjoyable way, he loves the arts and crafts and has a lot of enjoyable with his friends. The carers are very loving if he is ever feeling sad and they’re full of joy to laugh with him when he’s cheerful. I couldn’t suggest the childcare centre and team enough. I have had 2 kids already graduate from the preschool room in the last 5 years, my third kid is currently in the preschool room and due to start school next September.
My kids have loved this room and the carers who have helped them reach their full potential in a compassionate, considerate and attentive way.
