Willaston Pre-School

Great quality childcare, have been amazing with both of my boys who have very different needs and have facilitated them to have a great start. Willaston Pre-School set my first son up to a great start meaning he was very ready for school. My youngest son loves going there now and has progressed so much since being in their care.

We highly recommend Willaston Pre School. Our youngest currently attends, as did our daughter who is now at school. The staff are amazing. They are very experienced and skilled in educating the children whilst still comforting them when needed. My daughter loves being outside on the bikes and tractor and they benefit from being in a central village location whilst backing onto the park. My daughter (despite being the youngest in the year), breezed into Primary School, although she would be back at Pre School in a heartbeat if she could.

Both of my girls love going and are showing excellent progress in their learning. There are high expectations for the children to achieve academically as well as support to do this. It isn’t just the academic side, the children have lots of socialisation and opportunities to grow and develop all the necessary skills.

I have no hesitation but to write a 5-star review. My child attends every day and has done for the past few years.
Every member of staff is caring, nurturing and enthusiastic about their role. The children are well cared for, as well as their educational needs met above and beyond.
Not once has he not wanted to go, which speaks louder than words. The hard work everyone puts in is very appreciated. They certainly set the bar high for other nurseries to compete against.

Our son has been attending Willaston Pre-school since September. He has additional needs and the staff have been nothing but brilliant. Communication between staff and parents is also excellent.
Our son looks forward to coming into school and we will be sad when he has to move up to big school.

Small setting, friendly staff and plenty of outdoor play. My child enjoyed going.

We have two grandchildren aged four and two who attend school hours Monday to Friday. Most importantly, they always look forward to attending, they are bright, happy and cheerful, if somewhat ‘grubby’ from a very enjoyable day irrespective of the weather on collection. A large amount of time appears to be spent on outdoor activities and play, here they use their imagination and pretend whilst learning to express themselves. In our opinion, this has helped to develop their social and communication skills. The free play has improved the eldest’s balance and dexterity, especially on a balance bike. They have both improved in their turn-taking and their caring for others through playing with mixed ages and abilities daily. The whole experience, especially the more formal and structured sessions, has helped to improve their ability to listen and follow instructions plus develop their patience. The celebration of success through praise and reward stickers along with constant encouragement has improved their learning skills. The independence of thought and problem-solving has helped develop their independence and identity within the positive supportive culture. Handovers at the start and end of each session are very detailed and personal to each child.

My child has been going to Willaston Pre-School for over a year now and I can’t thank all the staff enough for how much time and effort they have put in. My child has come a long way and was able to write their name after being there only a few months.
Absolutely outstanding pre-school – if there were 6 stars, I would be choosing that! Thank you to all the lovely teachers and a special shout out to one staff member in particular who does a fabulous job on the admin too.

In the time my daughter has spent with everyone at Willaston Pre-School she has been excited to go there every single day and we have been just as excited to pick her up just to hear what an amazing time she’s had. All the staff have been beyond supportive and professional in each and every aspect and we thank them for bestowing such positive memories in her life. She will remember her time with everyone and miss them very much.
We highly recommend Willaston Pre-School to anyone who has a child going into pre-school and my daughter would too.

Since my little boy started at this preschool, I can’t express enough how pleased I am with everything they do here. From the moment we visited the preschool before registering him, he was off playing straight away and settled right in. We knew he was going to be happy there! My little boy used to attend a different nursery but had to move him as they closed their toddler room due to staffing levels. Whilst I never had any issues with the previous nursery, since he started at Willaston Pre-School I have noticed a huge change in his development. I think the fact they mix the 2-year-olds with the 3-year-olds is so beneficial as he is with older children he can learn from. All of the ladies are lovely and I cannot recommend this preschool enough!
