Dunkys Day Nursery (Runcorn)

Manager was absolutely incredible, made me sense so comfortable as I was nervous about my little girl going to childcare centre and answered all questions. My little girl has a speech/language delay, I was concerned she wouldn’t be able to communicate her feelings and may find it hard to settle as she isn’t even 2, I was put at ease from the get-go and made to sense comfortable about her starting as was she. I could watch on CCTV for as long as I felt I needed before leaving and call whenever I wanted. My daughter loves going to childcare centre and has a excellent bond with all team, we work together and communicate each visit regarding her needs, this has helped my daughter come along so much, the team are lovely and they are very informative and attentive. My daughter is predominantly here for her development/social skills, I don’t regret my decision to place her in Dunkys Day Nursery. They’ve been fab! Thank you! After looking around six different nurseries around Runcorn this is the only childcare centre I just got ‘that feeling’ for.

She has formed incredible relationships with the team and her friends.
All team are welcoming and supportive.
My brother and cousins (who are now 17) attended this same childcare centre and loved it.
My daughter is such a fussy eater and the team have helped so much to help her try new things! (Love the regular recipes that are posted by the chef).
They do so much with the kids and take trips out to the local park, I sense my daughter is secure and receiving a high level of care.

The team are so welcoming and approachable, my little girl loves going here. Sometimes she even picks up her childcare centre bag and walks to the door at home to go! The platform/app they use is so informative, I can see hour by hour what my kid has done/eaten etc. The main benefit Dunkys offered us is flexibility, as an NHS worker this is important too, it’s so hard to find childcare that doesn’t require set days. After trialling a few local nurseries, Dunkys Day Nursery (Runcorn) is a cut above the rest.

But the team at Dunkys in Runcorn has consistently been incredible, they take really great care of the kids in their care.
They made me at ease and they keep you up to date on everything your kid has done on their day in childcare centre.
My son has come on in leaps and bounds, his speech has improved massively since starting in September. I had a lot of anxiety over sending my son to childcare centre as he was a lockdown-born baby and had only ever been with me.

I honestly cannot suggest Dunkys Day Nursery enough. After a really negative journey with our previous childcare centre, I was nervous and hesitant having to find a new childcare centre for my daughter to attend. The manager and her team put my mind at ease from the second I made the first phone call, they are welcoming, well‑informed and expert. They truly have the kids at the heart of all they do. The food is absolutely gorgeous, each room has its own pet! The outside space is smaller than I would have liked but they really make the most of it and all of the positives very quickly put weigh that small negative. My little girl settled in there so quickly and talks about her childcare centre every single day. I am not the easiest customer due to needing flexible days because of my shift pattern but the manager does everything she can to accommodate my needs and I no longer have to worry about childcare. Moving my daughter to Dunkys Day Nursery was the best move for us all! I really don’t know where to start.

The difference in the last eight weeks is unbelievable, she’s settled in, no rush to be collected from the setting at home time. The team are incredible and meet her individual needs. Always a warm welcome from team such a lovely setting overall by far the best choice we’ve made. My daughter started in April after being with a childminder for nine months.

Always ensuring they can meet most if not all wants/needs for each individual kid. So homely, everyone’s very warm and welcoming.
My little boy was a bit unsure of starting childcare centre, however the team in Dunkys toddler room was excellent with getting him settled in.
Would advise anyone looking for a childcare centre to put your kid into Dunkys Day Nursery. The kids will also have plenty of enjoyable whilst team still manage to make it educational for them to be able to learn and development. Amazing childcare centre!

My son loves going to childcare centre and most days doesn’t want to leave! He is currently transitioning to the next age group room and all team have been incredible in helping him to adjust. His development and welfare are their top priority. I couldn’t suggest this childcare centre enough. Amazing childcare centre.

Staff are really welcoming, attentive and clearly compassionate about their jobs. Makes leaving your kid a lot easier knowing they are going to be well cared for. Really accommodating when you need to change hours/days etc. Chef is also very well‑informed with allergies and accommodates for meal times. Good to get updates on the app about different activities your kid is doing that day, what they have eaten. Every update is written to let you know exactly what the kid is discovering when they are completing a task. Helpful for parents to know too if they wanted to copy this at home. Rabbits outside in the garden which is also excellent for kids to see! Very person centred care for little ones. Highly suggest. Really great vibe as soon as you walk into the childcare centre.

It’s such a reassurance being able to check on him throughout the day via the app and whenever I pick him up, he’s full of smiles. I have full self‑assurance he’s being looked after and I can see he’s progressing and hitting his milestones – so thank you Dunkys for being fantastic. My little boy has been attending Dunkys Day Nursery (Runcorn) since October 2022 and what made me pick this childcare centre was the childcare centre manager and all team!
