Abacus Day Nursery

This nursery was fabulous with my daughter who at the time was 7mths old. The staff here were so welcoming and my daughter settled here in no time even though I only needed childcare for 4 weeks whilst I finished uni. The food is made on site and my daughter loved it, they also kept a diary of what she’d eaten through the day and nappy changes etc which I got to read at home. The staff are really friendly and made me feel at ease as I was very apprehensive leaving my baby at a young age, they were very understanding when I rang everyday to check on her!
I would definitely use this nursery again… 5 star rating from me.

My second child is now at Abacus and I couldn’t have picked a better nursery. The staff are amazing and very caring, you can tell that they love seeing the children grow up and learning with them. The activities and learning are brilliant and they always think of innovative ideas for new ways of learning.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. I was a bit apprehensive about sending my little son to nursery for the first time after being at home for his first 16 months but the staff were very professional, friendly, and personable and answered all our questions, and were very comforting and reassuring, especially as we were unable to look around due to Covid restrictions. They have a variety of activity rooms and facilities such as a garden, soft play, and sensory rooms for the children to explore and enjoy. They do lots of fun and educational activities throughout the day and have been very proactive in trying to meet all my child’s needs. After missing my child all day, I very much look forward to getting the daily report back in both written form and verbally off staff as it gives us an insight into all the lovely, fun, and educational activities he’s done during the day as well as all the deliciously healthy, homemade food he’s enjoyed. I would fully recommend this nursery.

Abacus is a fantastic nursery. I was nervous to send my son to nursery for the first time during lockdown a year ago but the staff were absolutely fantastic, he has grown in confidence, language skills and has loved going there! The staff are friendly, approachable and have always been more than happy to answer any questions or worries I have had. Would definitely recommend!

My three children went to Abacus Day Nursery and have all been very happy there. My 3-year-old loves playing with her friends and is very happy with the staff. The best things are the wonderful staff and huge range of enjoyable activities. These range from meeting dogs and tortoises to playing in the garden, soft play and messy play. The kids love getting messy and babies especially learn a lot I think. I’ve been impressed by the range of nutritious food which has helped with new food at home. The staff are absolutely lovely, flexible and have been extremely supportive during the pandemic. I would highly recommend!

We were pleased to hear that you had space for him as we knew that Abacus Day Nursery is a popular choice. I’m almost tempted to put him in more days as he seems to enjoy it so much. You can offer activities that we just don’t have the imagination resources or patience for. It’s so reassuring to see that he recognises and likes the close number of nursery nurses that care for him, there are very few nurseries that have their staff on permanent contracts! Thank you.

My little boy loves going to nursery! Without fail he runs out the door with a smile on his face every time I pick him up. I feel my child is safe and in good hands and feel at ease leaving him there whilst I go to work. My son has developed so much going to Abacus especially with his talking! I find it great that he’s learning as well as having fun. The nursery emails you with any updates and newsletters of the month with any topics that the children will be learning, which I love to read and find out what their room will be up to. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough and definitely wouldn’t want my little boy to go anywhere else! Thank you Abacus for continuing to take care of my boy.

Lovely staff! My little boy has excelled since starting in all development areas! His speech and social skills were next to none when we started and they have helped me in making him a clever confident little boy, and he always comes out with a smile on his face and is excited about all the great activities they get up to! Very supportive of anxious parents as well. I used to call all times of the day and they would always reassure me with how he was.

Lovely nursery with wonderfully caring staff. My child enjoys all the activities and the outdoor area. The food is lovely and the room is clean. This nursery was recommended to me by a friend and I would highly recommend it to others.

All the staff have been absolutely amazing at Abacus Day Nursery to help get my son settled in. They keep me updated with what he has done and reassure me I can call and check on him throughout the day. I’m really pleased I picked this nursery, I would highly recommend.

My child is happy to attend Abacus. They are provided with many different experiences and encouraged to try new things. The staff are polite and will explain in more detail about the tasks my child has taken part in if asked. Any concerns are dealt with as soon as possible.

My daughter recently started at Abacus, she already loves going to nursery and is so happy to see her already regular nursery nurses. Never had any issues with the nursery, the staff are friendly and tell me I can call anytime to check on my daughter. The parent portal is great and such a reassurance for me that she is okay throughout the day. I’m really happy with my decision to send her to abacus and this makes me feel more settled for the dreaded return to work because I know she is in safe hands at abacus. I’d definitely recommend this nursery!

My child loves going to this nursery and I can see the change in his confidence. The staff are always polite, friendly and professional. I love being able to view what my son is doing throughout the day via the portal and his day is full of different activities.

Staff are constantly trying to help my daughter thrive in all aspects. Supporting me and her with potty training especially. Always contact if any issues or if she is acting out of character etc. Always able to call to check in and have the parent portal for updates if unable to call.

My daughter has been attending Abacus since July and the difference in her has been incredibly positive, her confidence has grown immensely and her development too. I can tell she has built some lovely relationships with the girls in her room, and with her key worker in particular. I love how we have the app which I can check in on what she has been doing during her session and also the photos they upload of her doing various activities are a joy to see.

We travel from out of the area to bring our second child to Abacus after our experience with our first child attending was so wonderful. The staff at Abacus are caring and professional and have the children’s best interests at heart. Over the past 4 years, we have been pleased to see continuous improvement of the great facilities. Both of our children have enjoyed their time and Abacus and I highly recommend them.

Our daughters have both been at Abacus since they were young babies. The staff are all excellent and adapt to the nature of the children. They encourage independence as children get older, which increases their confidence. The girls both look forward to going to see their friends, the staff and of course the delicious food!
