VisitingThey would love to show round prospective parents and do 2 private show arounds a day - 10am in the morning and 2pm in the afternoon. These last for around 20 minutes and are a great opportunity to not only view the nursery but also to ask any questions you may have. Visits are by appointment only please call to arrange.

She struggles to leave us, but the team are highly assuring, that she has a fantastic day as soon as we leave, this is evident in the photos I often see on her online journal. The lunches sound delicious and are well-planned with lots of variation, our daughter consistently seems to delight in the food. I am more than confident in the care my little girl receives when she is at the childcare centre. Our daughter has attended Cedars for over a year now and we could not suggest this childcare centre enough.

September 8, 2024 at 9:20 amAfter my little girl not settling at previous nurseries, I was so nervous, but seeing her make positive development and be so cheerful here is so mind-settling. Also, the team are the friendliest ever and food meal menus are so beneficial for little ones. My kid has attended this childcare centre for a while now and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

My little girl started her next chapter and was so, so sad to leave all these lovely ladies! I can’t thank them enough for the help and assistance they gave my little girl, they helped her grow so much and her self‑assurance is through the roof! Her speech came along beautifully as well, these people don’t get enough credit for what they do! Thank you again, everyone! Keep doing what you do best! Wow, what an journey!

I can’t speak highly enough and would 100% suggest sending your loved ones to this childcare centre/daycare. My three-year-old grandson has been attending The Cedars Childcare centre for nearly two years and absolutely loves everything about it.

He has flourished in the time he has been at Cedars and that is all down to the remarkable facilities and the fantastic team. Every single person at Cedars is inviting and welcoming, you can tell how much they genuinely care for all the kids in their care. It’s the only childcare centre I would suggest. Our son was having some difficulties before he found The Cedars.

November 1, 2024 at 6:56 pmShe gets excited the night before she goes as she knows her friends will be there waiting for her to playtime. The team are all highly expert and lovely to talk too. All procedures relating to Covid 19 are adhered to and they are clearly marked at the entrances and exists what needs to be done. All the kids are cheerful and smiling and my daughter consistently comes home telling me the exciting times she’s had at childcare centre. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this childcare centre to other friends and family. My daughter loves The Cedars Childcare centre – Sunderland.

They build exceptional relationships with both the kids and families to help assistance the best possible care that I could ask for my kids! I can’t suggest this childcare centre enough.

December 12, 2024 at 9:22 amThey have a lot to deal with in their short lives and with the manager’s help and her incredible team, they have helped them develop into incredible kids. The manager says it’s down to me too but yes I agree up to a point. I have the utmost trust in them, as a childcare centre and honestly cannot pick a fault with them. My grandchildren are confident, bright, cheerful, outgoing and the way they helped them to adjust to starting school and making them look forward to it was exceptional. They have settled into school life perfectly. No worrying about it or tears. I cannot express how exceptional this childcare centre is. Highly suggest it to anybody and everyone. My grandchildren have attended Cedars Childcare centre since just over 1 year old until leaving August 22 for infant school.

December 25, 2024 at 8:17 amThe childcare centre itself has large spacious homely feeling rooms with a excellent outdoor area which I felt was important when choosing a childcare centre. All of the team are exceptionally passionate about what they do. I sense content knowing my daughters are loved and cared for in a secure setting. They have both thrived since starting childcare centre at age 2. They both look forward to going to childcare centre and have built close relationships with all of the team there including the childcare centre manager who also has an active role within the childcare centre with the kids. I adore picking them up and hearing all about all the different activities they have done throughout the day, meals they’ve had etc. I highly suggest this childcare centre and can’t thank the team enough for all that they do. My two daughters aged 3 and a half and two and a half both attend Cedars childcare centre.

Their outdoor space and allotment area are exceptional and is one of the main reasons we chose Cedars over the many others that had tired-looking or small outdoor spaces. They have worked with us through some sleep issues and are working with us on potty training too. They have also been flexible where possible when our circumstances have changed. My son has been going to Cedars since he was 1 year old and he is now 2.5 years old.

Anything the team can help you with they will, consistently go above and beyond and they are approachable and expert. Now my daughter loves going to childcare centre consistently cheerful to go and cheerful at home after enjoying her day at childcare centre. I could not suggest The Cedars Childcare centre enough and all the incredible team. My daughter has been attending The Cedars Childcare centre, Sunderland, for around 18 months now.

March 2, 2025 at 9:37 amWhen choosing a childcare centre I knew The Cedars Childcare centre – Sunderland was perfect. The team there are so welcoming and you can see just how much they delight in being there. The kids consistently look so cheerful from what I’ve seen. I was impressed with how the childcare centre is set out, spotless and well looked after. I was so nervous about putting my son into childcare centre but the manager reassured me that he would be well looked after and that he definitely is! He’s grown so much since starting and I know the team have helped him in many ways from making friends, understanding routine and even helped with potty training.
I receive any queries are addressed when made, team consistently have a smile, the manager is ‘hands on’ which you don’t often find, excellent menu, consistently spotless. Through the whole Covid crisis all guidelines have been adhered to excellent to ensure the safety of kids and team. Thank you to all the Cedars team for making my boys first year of childcare centre incredible and enjoyable. What a remarkable childcare centre!

April 23, 2025 at 7:20 pmAll the team look after him so much and are so personal, each day he has a wee story about someone different. Sue has been excellent in terms of updates regardless of the content and is consistently available to discuss matters great or bad. Standards are never anything less than impeccable it is constantly apparent each member of the team working there genuinely adore their role and the natural relationship between themselves and the kids shine through. I’d like to highlight one member of team as one of the most genuinely attentive young ladies and although everyone there are stars, this person stands out daily for me and my son regularly talks about her and how she is his “favourite”. The recent Christmas party was a real treat and clearly well-considered and planned. There is clearly an expectation set and is delivered consistently. My son cannot wait to get to childcare centre, he enjoys every day and is consistently talking about the activities he gets up to.

April 25, 2025 at 10:05 amFrom my personal interaction with team members, they consistently make time to listen and provide updates on his day going into detail when asked and welcome, and wave goodbye with smiles in their voices and on their faces. During Covid, they have consistently complied with protocols on handover/drop off, and I am aware they not only flag concerns verbally, but email in a timely manner. Excellent team, organisation and the perfect place for my grandson… well done! Kids know what they like, and my 2-year-old grandson runs from the car to get into the childcare centre!

All the team and the Manager have been incredible. My little girl will miss Cedars when she leaves however she will be ready for her next step in life. Thank you again. Cedars Childcare centre Sunderland is an outstanding Childcare centre.
