Kids 1st Gosforth

Kids First Gosforth is such an amazing nursery, which I would highly recommend to anyone. Our eldest attended when he was 10 months old back in 2012 and our daughter is currently there now. The attention to meet each child’s individual needs is outstanding. They have a variety of freshly cooked meals which rotate regularly and are delicious. We get to have the meals when we attend parents evening or during partner play dates. The nursery always goes above and beyond. The staff within the setting, from day one, have all been nurturing and very welcoming. My son and daughter have created some amazing bonds with staff as well as myself and my husband. The setting is purpose-built, making it the perfect setting. We get daily updates via parent zone which cover meals, toileting, sleeps and what our daughter has been doing. The nursery does 2 year checks and also we get termly assessments which is great to see where our children are based in their learning. They truly are incredible.

Excellent nursery, my child has developed so much since starting at nine months old. He has allergies and they have gone above and beyond to cater for his every need. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Both of my daughters have attended Kids 1st Gosforth and we are completely happy with the nursery. The staff are excellent and very attentive, the facilities are amazing and both kids loved going to the nursery.

My little girl joined the nursery last August during the pandemic and despite such a difficult time, I can’t fault the nursery or the staff. She has settled in extremely fast and they have made her feel like she’s always been there. They really care about the children, put in so much effort with them and ensure they are prepared for school. She has developed so well with her numeracy, literacy, knowledge and enjoyment of the world as well as her interpersonal relationships and never at any point have the restrictions made her feel uncomfortable or worried. They have made her feel like she has normality in a time when it has been far from that in the rest of the world and they haven’t had one Covid-19 case throughout the whole nursery. The staff really are to be applauded, we couldn’t have asked for more.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was nine months old in 2018 and has always loved it. The staff are all so lovely, friendly and really get to know and love your child. The food always smells amazing, is healthy and my daughter loves it! The manager has always been really flexible when possible if I have needed changes in days due to work. More recently two other particular members of staff have helped me with my daughter’s challenging behaviour by keeping in touch with me and sticking to a consistent approach as well as rewarding positive behaviour. She has really turned a corner recently and I honestly don’t think that would’ve have happened without this excellent support.

My daughter started nursery in January 2021, she was a lockdown baby so had missed out on so much whilst also not being used to new people or other children. Kids 1st Gosforth have been excellent at supporting her transition, she is really excelling since joining nursery. The team are great and have also been very supportive to a first time mummy too.

The communication and guidance from the nursery during the whole pandemic has been fantastic. With both of us still being key workers our daughter still attended throughout and the safety precautions in place were great and we genuinely felt she was safe attending. All the staff are always helpful, she had a difficult time when moving up a class because she was using the toilet when others weren’t and they supported her very well. She always comes home happy and full of stories with her friends.The facilities are always looking clean and tidy and the outdoor areas they have has lots of activities. Would be happy to recommend to anyone.

It took a while to decide which nursery we could go for, but after our visit to Kids 1st Gosforth, we just felt that we found the right place for our little one who is 2 and a half. He comes home very happy and tells us he loves everything about it. I definitely recommend this place. We couldn’t ask for any better nursery to leave our son. You can only leave your child with people who care with love, so Kids 1st Gosforth, Jubilee Road is the best. Everyone is doing such an incredible job. I am very grateful to them.

My child absolutely loves nursery, the reviews and information I get on his progress are fantastic and I feel really confident he is safe and enjoying himself when at nursery. He has recently doubled the amount of time in nursery and he has done that without any issues he loves it so much.

I can’t recommend Kids 1st enough, my daughter has attended from age 1 to 4 and I have always been hugely impressed with the nursery and the way in which it runs – especially remaining open for key worker parents throughout lockdown. The staff at the nursery are always very approachable and genuinely warm towards the kids and my daughter thinks very highly of everyone. As a much younger single mother, I have often felt patronised and judged in the past by my daughter’s previous childcare providers but Kids 1st are always warm and welcoming regardless of circumstances. The staff should be very proud of themselves and I feel they have made a great contribution to my daughters start in life while I have been working though I hugely miss her I know she is well looked after and thriving. I feel I can ask them about my daughter without feeling as if I am being a nuisance. The manager is fantastic too and always very supportive. We will both thoroughly miss the nursery when she leaves in September.
