July 6, 2022 at 12:00 amWe tried to get our oldest son a place here a few years back, but it was full, so we took him to a few nurseries around Gateshead instead. This time around our youngest son managed to get a place here, so we can see the comparison to the others. We have to say this nursery is one of the best. They are very attentive and caring. The setting is lovely, and there is so much to do indoors and outdoors. Our son loves going to the nursery, and he has developed so much over the last six months. Thank you so much.

July 6, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little girl loves coming to nursery and misses it when it’s closed and even on the weekend. She and I cannot fault the staff, environment or food. She loved the progression from 0-2/2-3 and then 3-5. Gradually bigger and more to do for her age. It’s a lovely nursery in a lovely setting.

July 6, 2022 at 12:00 amI love this nursery! Both my girls went there from the age of one (my husband did 40 years ago too).
It is nurturing for both children and parents. As parents, we are leaving our hearts in your hands at a nursery – this one keeps parents well informed with pictures and updates on the app, and is always open to conversations and there for support. I could not recommend it enough.

July 6, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending. There’s so much support from staff and a lovely environment to learn and play. Couldn’t fault Spring Nursery Bensham, and I’m so glad I sent my daughter here as she’s still learning and coming on more every day.

He settled very quickly, has made friends and has made huge progress with his confidence, social skills and independence. The staff are all very friendly and approachable. We wouldn’t choose anywhere else for our son now!

My daughter has such a great time here, she has so many great experiences with the nursery, which are helping her develop, particularly socially, and she tries new foods at nursery that I’ve never managed to persuade her to eat at home!

Hello to whom it may concern. I’m writing to let you know how I felt about my recent experience at Spring Nursery and hopefully want to get a resolution. My daughter started Spring Nursery in September. My experience at Spring hasn’t been a pleasant one. I have had such a bad experience from the first day my daughter started there. On the first day, I waited 45/50 mins outside before I was seen to, and on the next day not one staff member could listen or honour my request to change the key worker of my daughter. I kindly asked them if they will be able to change the key worker as they assigned a male keyworker to my daughter. The reason I asked to change was for cultural reasons. I wasn’t able to have a male changing my daughter’s nappies. I kindly requested so many times to change key workers or at least for nappy changes for a female worker to change my daughter’s nappies for cultural reasons. They just outright refused, not even wanting to hear me out.

November 18, 2022 at 12:00 amSpring Bensham is the perfect place for our daughter. It attracts a diverse range of children who all get along very well together. The staff are excellent and genuinely care about the children, which really shows in the effort they put in every day. It’s so nice to be able to leave our daughter in Spring with the knowledge that she’s safe, enjoying herself and learning so much.

November 21, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has developed significantly since he joined Spring Nursery Bensham. He loves going in as he has made lots of friends, which has helped his confidence and communication a lot. The staffs are very friendly and attentive to the needs of the children, which is a plus point. We get regular updates on our son’s progress and also his development. Our daughter was in Spring for about three years before she moved to preschool, and the benefit of Spring shows in her current day-to-day activity at school. We really appreciate what the staff at Spring do and will always recommend them any day. Thanks to all the brilliant staff; keep up the good work.

November 22, 2022 at 12:00 amSpring Nursery is a wonderful setting with a child-centred, nurturing approach to child care. We have been really impressed with the activities and experiences our 16-month-old has been exposed to since attending the nursery.
The staff are all wonderful, friendly and caring. The nursery provided a comprehensive and child-led settling-in programme, and we felt well-supported at every step.
We feel confident every day when we drop off our little boy that he will be well cared for and will receive all of the attention and stimulation he needs whilst there.
Our little one is excited every day when we arrive at the nursery; he has a strong attachment to his key worker and separates happily.
We would highly recommend the nursery.

December 6, 2022 at 12:00 amThe staff are all very friendly, and my little girl (2.5) loves going in. They do so much with the children, and we are always getting updates with photos of their days. My daughter especially loves the garden and being outside, playing with all the toys.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other parents looking for a nursery in the area.

June 19, 2023 at 12:00 amI was so worried about my son before taking him to Spring Nursery Bensham because his previous one couldn’t deal with him properly since he needs special attention. It’s been a few weeks since he started nursery, and now he’s much happier and more relaxed, even better when he’s home.

June 26, 2023 at 12:00 amUp until maybe the past six-plus months, I’ve loved this nursery, and so has my child. However, recently I’ve seen a decline in the nursery, which has led to my child not wanting to be there. Too many accidents in which my child is hurt and sometimes physically marked, not enough support at the bathroom to keep my child clean, resulting in needing creams applied to the area to soothe and not enough staff or experienced staff in my opinion. The cleanliness of the bathroom area is sometimes in need of attention, and the main play area too, could do with a hoover. The food also seems a little different/not as great as it used to be (this could be just a lack of detailing it properly on the app), but considering the new charges and not being allowed to bring in packed lunches – it could be better. The outdoor facilities are great, and the staff are very friendly.
