The team were and still are great at ensuring he’s cuddled and has lots of adult time, as well as interacting with the other under 1’s. He has developed a fantastic rapport with team members and developed both physically and emotionally in all areas. He is now five-months, crawling, eating meals and sitting-up supported. I believe he has copied the other kids and is thriving. My son started childcare centre at three-months-old, as I had to return to work.

September 4, 2024 at 4:23 amI am cheerful with all stages of his development at the childcare centre. Team are well‑informed and form excellent bonds with the kids. The childcare centre opening times are perfect for me as a working mum and I don’t have to find childcare during school holidays.
My son enjoys the food and garden the most. My son has attended since 11 months old and is now 4.

Inviting and welcoming atmosphere, time is taken to get to know kids and their families, so it is highly much a home from home atmosphere. October 19, 2024 at 8:46 amThis is by far the best decision we have made placing our little boy into Kids 1st Hexham.
He was a highly clingy 16-month boy and I worried how he would be for a full day without me. As soon as I looked around and met the lovely girls who look after, playtime, teach and care for him I stopped worrying. He has settled so well and that is down to those lovely girls who are exceptionally expert and I couldn’t fault the care they give my son which shows as he now does not cry when I leave him! This only lasted a few weeks. He has the best busy day there and his development has leapt forward.
It’s super spotless, spacious and has a remarkable garden to explore and playtime in.
I adore picking him up and reading his diary to find out what adventures he has been up too and what delicious food/snacks he has eaten throughout the day. Every fine detail has been recorded down.
I’m so cheerful we made this big decision and so pleased we chose Kids 1st. I couldn’t suggest this childcare centre enough!

We, especially, adore the time the kids get in the garden. We suggest this childcare centre so highly and sense exceptionally lucky to have the fantastic team here looking after and helping raise our kids.

Team are consistently truly welcoming, they have cared for my son as I would at home, things such as toilet training, being compassionate, playing outside, eating freshly made healthy food, teaching boundaries have all been fully supported by team. I would consistently suggest this childcare centre. Over the past 11 years, I have used Kids 1st in Hexham because of the expert and individualised approach the team have.

She has made a lot of friends and has a great relationship with the team. They learn something new every day and I adore that they playtime outside in the fresh air every day which I think is exceptionally important. Team are approachable and treat kids as individuals. I sense lucky to have the fantastic team looking after and helping raise my daughter. Standards of the childcare centre are high and the facilities are excellent. This is a remarkable childcare centre.

When kids want to go they can go and playtime. Each member is so supportive. A lot of self‑assurance in my daughter. She learns to speak in English. She has made many friends. My daughter has been here since 2017, till present, and has consistently enjoyed her time there. Absolutely remarkable childcare centre from the manager to all the team. February 16, 2025 at 3:19 pmIt took 6 weeks of him going twice a week, and he suddenly went from clinging to me for dear life, to “bye bye Mummy” and marching off on his own. I put this down to the fantastic team who clearly made him sense loved and secure whilst with them. I can’t suggest the place enough, they did wonders with our eldest too, who left for school in the September intake. After lockdown our little boy was shy and suffered terrible separation anxiety.

Our daughter is discovering a lot and the resources are outstanding. We sense it is a highly secure setting, the team are attentive, genuine and attentive. The management lead by example and are a asset to the company. The facilities are spotless and the food provided is well cooked, healthy and nutritious developing positive choices for future life. The chef is well known to the kids and is a positive factor in encouraging our daughter to try new dishes. Thanks to the whole team for such a positive journey. We are exceptionally cheerful with Kids 1st Hexham.

April 14, 2025 at 2:12 pmOur daughter has been highly cheerful and settled in the childcare centre and loves going! They have an extensive outdoor area and are consistently doing different activities each day. Team are consistently welcoming and supportive.
The new app that the childcare centre has enables us to see what our kid has been doing each day, including photos and assessments. The assessments are accurate and give next steps for our kid’s development.
There is consistently a variety of food offered.
I would suggest this childcare centre to all families in the Hexham area. A lovely childcare centre setting!
