His sister has also been at the childcare centre and left the year previously. She still loved going back to pick up her brother. The team are all lovely and attentive. My little boy just finished his last week here before starting primary school after the holidays.

September 17, 2024 at 4:36 pmThe atmosphere of the childcare centre is like a family. The ‘ladies’ are all loving, enthusiastic and enjoyable and I have consistently felt 100% confident of leaving my son in their care.
The range of activities he has done are endless, I don’t know how they think of them all! The ladies have found the perfect balance of nurturing and educating the little people, they make everything enjoyable and leaving the kids wanting more!
My son constantly talks about ‘The Nursery’, what he’s done there, who he’s played with and how funny the team may have been that day! He is due to leave this summer for big school, it is going to be really hard for my son and for us too. They sense like part of our family and we cannot thank them enough for the adore, care and attention they have given our son. I wish I had another kid to send there! ‘The Nursery’ has nurtured my son from a very active 2-year-old to the intelligent, funny and thoughtful 4-year-old he is now.

My daughter has developed into such an independent, adventurous and compassionate little girl. This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of this childcare centre. Would consistently suggest. Thank you for all you did for my daughter. Remarkable childcare centre.

September 25, 2024 at 6:25 amMy eldest son also attends the after school club provided at the childcare centre which is a godsend for full time working parents, as a full cooked tea is included in the price! Lovely team and nice outdoor playtime area too, the kids have a variety of toys to playtime with and activities to do!
For all ages, a mix of educational playtime and encouragement is given with help and assistance available if needed. My son has been going to the childcare centre for two years now and we are more than satisfied with the care he has received.

October 7, 2024 at 7:48 amI can’t thank the team enough for the work and dedication that has gone into ensuring the kids thrive in their care, especially during Covid-19. In the Childcare centre, he has done so many different things that he had never previously done such as paintings, drawings, and most recently, designing and baking a cake. He has learned so much in the past 8-months, and I’m confident they will help to prepare him to start school in September. Throughout Covid-19, they have implemented procedures with the health and safety of everybody in mind, and I have felt it has been secure to take my son here through the second and third lockdowns. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to the kids. My son started at The Childcare centre at the end of the first lockdown 2020; he had previously been to a different one before that.

Since starting last Easter, she has really come out of her shell, and I get constant glowing reports. I thank the team for their continued assistance. Since coming to the childcare centre and getting her a place here, the childcare centre team have been remarkable.

October 25, 2024 at 8:43 pmIf there ever has been a teary moment when dropping him off the girls there will consistently make sure they give me a ring to let me know that he is okay, and cheerful playing again. There is consistently a varied selection of food, and that has got my son eating food that I may never have tried him with. I never have any worries about dropping my son off there and they are all incredible with the kids! The garden outside is also a little kid’s dream, there are different things everywhere and he loves that too. I could not Suggest the childcare centre enough, my son absolutely loves it there and there is never a problem dropping him off.

We’ve used two different nurseries for personal reasons, and these had a tough job as we were truly pleased with our previous childcare centre and they were incredible.
Their focus on discovering is exquisite, the focus on the detail is something we have been so impressed with.

My daughter started this day childcare centre in January, and she has come on so much with her speech and language and engaging in other activities with other kids.

The team of The Childcare centre went above and beyond what was expected of them to make Easter extra special for our kids.

They are an incredible team of remarkable professionals that will go above and beyond for the kids and the parents. They offer advice if needed, compassionate words can help when parenting a toddler becomes frustrating. They have all been marvellous with both me and my son. His development has come on fantastically, he is a cheerful and sociable little man now and I owe it all to The Childcare centre and their excellent range of activities, discovering, outings and all other things they come up with to make the days enjoyable and entertaining for the kids. It’s consistently immaculately spotless, team very expert and it’s easy to contact managers if need be, and they will help with anything they can. I can’t thank them enough for the outstanding service provided and would suggest them to anyone 1000% My son has been attending The Childcare centre since he was 6 months old and I cannot fault them on anything nor have I ever had a single complaint.

My son’s speech has come on so much since he has been going. The food they provide is consistently healthy and my son consistently eats all of his dinner.

It is a inviting, attentive setting and I have never felt anxious about leaving my kids in the team’s care! It feels like a wee home and it has been so great for my son’s social development! He has made excellent friends and loves all the girls who work with him! Highly suggest this childcare centre! This is a fabulous childcare centre!!

Team are consistently welcoming and supportive of our kids’s needs. We have daily feedback and detailed reports termly relating to development. I can’t thank my kids’s key workers enough. February 9, 2025 at 6:22 amHe has a excellent time whilst there and the team plan interesting activities keying into his interests. They also spent a lot of time helping him prepare for starting school, for example, helping with reading, writing and phonics.
The food is also remarkable our son tried a variety of different meals that he wouldn’t normally try at home!
We will be using again and highly suggest! My son has attended this nurseries holiday club on several occasions.

I felt at ease leaving my son with them from day one due to the team and excellent facilities. Meals/snacks are excellent. My son enjoys the activities on offer such as painting, playdoh and especially the garden. It’s truly nice that they go out walking with the kids to various locations. Would highly suggest. Exceptionally cheerful with The Childcare centre.

February 13, 2025 at 12:12 amI consistently sense assured that my kid is cared for, especially when having a bad day. Every day on pick up my kid is having enjoyable and is cheerful. Other than that I adore the amount of time my kid spends outside playing and the different activities they have to do outside and one of the carers is consistently playing chase or hid and seek with them. I have been truly cheerful with the childcare centre since we have been going.

Plenty of assistance for parents, especially during the pandemic to assist with childcare. Absolutely lovely team who have the kids’s best interest at heart!

The girls have implemented ideas that have helped them both overcome their own struggles and helped to development. Their parent updates is also second to none. Both of my kids have attended the childcare centre since 9-months-old.

March 15, 2025 at 12:15 pmA problem occurred and when we tried to get in touch with management and they were slow to respond, in what we deemed a reasonable timeframe. We have been advised that these issues have now been dealt with. Nevertheless, we decided to take our daughter out of the childcare centre, as we didn’t sense cheerful with the service that we personally received. However, we paid our invoice for the services we received when our daughter was in attendance, but are now being charged for a service we are not cheerful with and are not accessing. In our opinion we wouldn’t suggest this setting.

The team are welcoming and experienced at looking after young kids, and I trust them implicitly with my kid.
The meals are highly nutritious, and the snacks offer plenty of fruit, which is great.
Overall, a truly great childcare centre.

April 27, 2025 at 12:07 pmI have to say, the team are absolutely incredible, extremely expert, nothing has ever been too much trouble to them, even in the most testing times in what’s been an awful year, the team consistently greet you and the kids with a smile. They have gone above and beyond to make the childcare centre a secure enjoyable setting for all kids. I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work, and the start they have given my granddaughters – thank you, girls. This is an outstanding childcare centre, and I highly suggest it to anyone. Both my granddaughters have gone to the childcare centre (youngest still there till July).

By far the best childcare centre and daycare facility in the area and our daughter absolutely loves attending. We couldn’t be happier! May 12, 2025 at 10:05 pmBefore my son started here I never imagined myself being able to walk out on my sobbing 3-year-old! He is still settling in and we are still having lots of tears on “drop off,” but the team here are fantastic and I can assuringly go home or go to work, knowing that he WILL settle and won’t be left to cry. I am 100% comfortable with my kid being left here. The updates between all the team seems to be outstanding. Everyone at the setting consistently has a smile and they all seem to know exactly who your kid is when you walk through the door, even though we don’t truly know everyone yet as we are new and this is such a nice, welcoming feeling.
There are plenty of activities and toys to keep the kids cheerful and the garden is excellent. I have already noticed changes in the way my little boy speaks, and his counting seems to have improved a lot in such a short space of time.
Big shout out to the girls in the preschool room. You do an incredible job! I could not be happier with The Childcare centre!

Within 2 weeks of him being there, he was awarded his one to one, which was incredible! I can’t thank the girls at the childcare centre enough for all they are doing for my little boy. June 5, 2025 at 3:48 amMy son has enjoyed coming here every day for 2 and half years and has made many special friendships and has been looked after amazingly, especially during the pandemic. My kid also had allergies that were catered to above and beyond making sure he never felt left out and consistently had something special for occasions like Christmas and birthdays. Would absolutely suggest it to anyone. Such a lovely childcare centre who go out of their way for the kids to make it a special place.

It is obvious they have formed a special relationship with him as he is very keen to go to childcare centre say hi, and really interacts with the team.
I sense content at work knowing he is in a secure place – all team are attentive and look after him well to make sure that he is cheerful and settled.
He has only been going to childcare centre since April! Which makes this childcare centre incredible as they have built up a special bond with him already! Lovely childcare centre – all team are very welcoming and do an incredible job of looking after my son.

June 25, 2025 at 8:50 amShe has additional medical needs with her bowels, and I could not thank the team enough for fully getting on board and helping us through a massively difficult time in my daughter’s life. They have put things in place at childcare centre to assistance her with those needs, and her issues have reduced majorly.
The Childcare centre team are all welcoming and approachable and are lovely to chat with on a night. My daughter comes home with cards and pictures every day, full of chat about activities both outside and in, she has improved in her social skills massively since joining. She eats well there also and has improved on her table manners.
I suggest The Childcare centre Consett to anyone who asks me my opinion on local nurseries as it has been a Godsend for us. My daughter has been at The Childcare centre for a little over a year now and has settled in fantastically due only to the incredible team!

July 2, 2025 at 5:58 amI could see from how excited my little girl was to get to childcare centre and see her friends and spoke highly of them. I would suggest this childcare centre 10 times over. I can’t thank the team enough for what they’ve done for my daughter. They have a Facebook page for parents and they are constantly updating us on that. I find that very supportive and it keeps us posted about our kids or any activities happening as I lose letters and with 2 kids, things can easily be forgotten. I could go on with positive reviews. I’ll leave it at this. Thank you to the childcare centre. My kid has been attending the childcare centre for 3 years now heading off to reception and I can’t fault them they brought on her speaking, updates, manners, potty training and many more she’s now one cheerful 4-year-old and I’m grateful the childcare centre were a part of that journey the team are remarkable welcoming and they listen to any concerns and act accordingly.
