Busy Bears Day Nursery

As time approached for childcare centre to reopen, we were obviously anxious about sending him back; how would he adjust to going back with a different routine? Would it be secure – for both him and us? Throughout its closure, we were regularly informed of what preparations were being made in order to ensure a secure and smooth return. Comprehensive guidelines for parents were issued which assured us that everything that could be done, was being done to ensure that the kids, team and parents would be as secure as possible. We originally sent our son to Busy Bears as we were temporarily living in Langley Park. We had considered moving him to a childcare centre in Durham city because in rush hour it can take us an hour to take him to and from our home in the centre of the city. It is testament to the incredible team and the care that he receives that we decided against it. He loves it there and so do we! My son had not long moved up to Butterflies before lockdown began.

She is 20 months old now and started when she was only 5 months old in the caterpillar room. I was so wary of leaving her with her being so young but as I needed to start a new job we choose Busy Bears. She is so cheerful, content and eager to go in every day. My older kids also used the dragonfly holiday club which they also loved & felt so secure in. Thank you for everything, we can’t wait for even more time with you all. I couldn’t fault the childcare centre at all, every single member of team are incredible with my daughter.

Straight away she put my mind at ease. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming and it’s like my son has consistently been here!
He gets so excited when I tell him he’s going to childcare centre and then walks in so confidently. I can see such a massive difference and it’s only been a few months, I generally adore the fact he is having so much enjoyable and consistently looking forward to my daily updates whilst I’m at work.

After putting my little boy into another childcare centre for only two weeks I knew something wasn’t right so had a visit with the senior practitioner.

We have had no problems at all so far and every single one of the team members goes out of their way to make sure everything is fine and that our little boy has the best day he can. I am looking forward to seeing him continue on his journey throughout childcare centre! I couldn’t suggest Busy Bears childcare centre enough, our little boy has come on leaps and bounds since he started and enjoys coming home and telling us about his day, his updates, understanding, social playtime and even eating has improved so much in the last few months and we are very grateful for the childcare centre and all of the team!

They understood my concerns about settling in due to restrictions and not being apart from me very often and he completed an additional settling in day. He started and they kept me thoroughly updated for the first few weeks, to assistance the transition and have continued this through the parent app since. My little boy has since learnt to walk and now runs down the path to the childcare centre and to the team waiting. He loves going and seeing the other kids and team. They are compassionate, attentive, flexible and adaptable in the current circumstances. My little boy absolutely loves childcare centre and it is no doubt due to the team, the lovely activities they provide and also the lovely dinners. I and my partner joke that we would go to childcare centre for the food, it’s remarkable. My little boy is very active and enjoys being busy, the team are very flexible and adaptive to his needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest the childcare centre to anyone who asks! My little boy started in September following a visit in March prior to lockdown.

The volume of activities and outdoor time is outstanding. They work with the parents to ensure all needs are met and provide outstanding updates and feedback. The childcare centre stands out for me because of the passion the team have for the kids. Busy Bears Day Childcare centre is a fantastic childcare centre who care so much for my son.

Got such a lovely feeling and when we left both said we were pleased we went. Also, there was wine! Thank you to all the team, especially team in Honeyz keeping me up to date, and taking outstanding care of my little boy. I also adore the parent app! Parents’ evening was a excellent journey, speaking to team without the kids.

The team are all so welcoming and have welcomed us into the childcare centre, putting my mind at ease that she is being well looked after. She has lots of new toys and activities to playtime with, and we get updates each day on the app so we know exactly what she’s been up to and photos too. The childcare centre menu is excellent and all her meals are provided across the day – she has tried lots of new things since joining. Thank you all so much for taking such great care of her – you all do a remarkable job! My little girl has recently joined Busy Bears in the caterpillar room, and she has settled in so well.

We joined Busy Bears just after lockdown and amidst the coronavirus pandemic and because of this I’ve only actually been inside the childcare centre once on my initial look around. Although parents/carers can’t actually go inside the childcare centre right now, I couldn’t be more confident that behind those doors the team do a fab job of ensuring the kids are secure and cheerful. Having looked around 4 different nurseries (and given up hope!) I was relieved to find Busy Bears. As soon as you chat to the girls or see the kids playtime you know you’ve picked the right place! As her special carer goes above and beyond for my daughter but all the girls are very welcoming and thorough! I can’t wait to see my little girl grow up here, in 3 short months she’s already walking and talking and I’m sure it’s got a lot to do with this place! As most parents are, I was anxious putting my 9-month old into childcare centre, especially during such uncertain times.

My little girl suffered from terrible separation anxiety and the girls made me and my daughter at ease, within a few weeks my daughter was running through the door and I was lucky if I would get a kiss goodbye. Incredible, can’t fault the girls.
