Bessborough Nursery & Pre-School

The baby team are loving, attentive and excellent at updates. We leave our daughter every day knowing that she is discovering, socialising and eating nutritiously but most importantly that she is loved and understood. We couldn’t be happier with Bessborough. We are highly highly cheerful parents.

The carers make him sense at home, the setting – and especially the large garden – is highly welcoming, the lunches consistently get a thumbs up and a colourful description when we collect him, etc. Our son is consistently highly cheerful to go to childcare centre in the morning and walks in with a smile after a kiss and cuddle.

Team members have taken the time to build strong relationships with my kid and ourselves, as parents which has truly helped when seeking advice and ensure a level of positive engagement. The management of the childcare centre is effective and there is a clear understanding of where my kid is at in terms of their development. Sincere kid care interest from team members is also evident from the conversations I have with the childcare centre manager about the childcare centre app home activities that I post from home.
All in all, an outstanding kid care provision that supports language and early years development through a consistent and engaging approach. The standard of care provided at Bessborough is exceptional and I am highly pleased with the level of self‑assurance and knowledge that key workers have with regards to my kid’s development, discovering and interests.

My daughter does not like being away from me, but she runs into childcare centre each morning so excited to be there. The team are consistently smiley and welcoming and are teaching her so many things every day.
I also adore how affectionate they are with the kids. She took a long time to settle at first and they were so calm and reassuring with her, giving her lots of cuddles and attention.
I truly like how well they communicate, with news letters, reviews etc, and even just the photos of the kids enjoying activities. They are also consistently available to discuss any concerns or worries.

The childcare centre itself is well equipped, homely, light and airy and pleasantly chaotic. I especially adore the outside space and how it opens right onto the rooms. This is something I didn’t find in any other childcare centre I looked at and is so nice as they can go out in all weather, and I adore picking her up in the summer and finding everyone still hanging out in the fresh air. The team at Bessborough are incredible.

All the team are both smiley and compassionate but also seem expert and organised, which I truly like. The garden facility is excellent also and they have truly engaging activities throughout the day. Truly expert, welcoming and structured setting.

Thorough information given at pick ups and ideas on how to continue to assistance your kid’s development shared. Excellent values shared in regard to table manners and communal dining to learn feeding skills. Highly nutritious meals provided and flexibility shown in individual kid needs ie, weaning onto cows milk Highly welcoming and supportive team for parents and kids.

He is developing at a rate faster than expected and I believe this is because of the team and LEYF as an organisation. There are so many stimulating activities to do and my grandson is experiencing things my own kids experienced in reception. My grandson has been at Bessborough for just over a year now and he has come on in leaps and bounds.

My family is exceptionally cheerful and impressed by the level (high standard) of care that our daughter is receiving. From day 1 the team has managed to with our trust and self‑assurance. Our daughter has made a lot of development and is super cheerful. The manager and deputy manager are supportive of both their team and family. A huge thank you for the hard working team! Bessborough Community Childcare centre is outstanding.

The best feature is the generous outdoor space. Sadly, team turnover eventually ruined our time there. Our initial key carer resigned and then a few months the competent and charming manager resigned. This resulted in an unkind, officious, and overall disastrous period of management. We approached LEYF central management with our numerous concerns but received zero feedback (they didn’t even bother to reply to us). After several exhausting months, we switched nurseries to a different childcare centre brand. We are so cheerful with our current childcare centre and relieved to have left LEYF behind. Although the childcare centre is rather scruffy on the first appearance with potholes that are difficult to navigate by buggy, we were initially cheerful with the attentive setting and kindly team in the baby room.
