Bessborough Nursery & Pre-School

Wonderful nursery: I would highly recommend it. Great staff – including a lovely on-site chef – and supportive, available management. They also have a lovely outside space for the children to play and run, including a dedicated outside area for babies under 2.

Very friendly and supportive staff for parents and children. Thorough information given at pick ups and ideas on how to continue to support your child’s development shared. Great values shared in regard to table manners and communal dining to learn feeding skills. Very nutritious meals provided and flexibility shown in individual child needs ie, weaning onto cows milk

The staff at Bessborough are amazing. My daughter does not like being away from me, but she runs into nursery each morning so excited to be there. The staff are always smiley and friendly and are teaching her so many things every day.
I also love how affectionate they are with the children. She took a long time to settle at first and they were so calm and reassuring with her, giving her lots of cuddles and attention.
I really like how well they communicate, with news letters, reviews etc, and even just the photos of the children enjoying activities. They are also always available to discuss any concerns or worries.

The nursery itself is well equipped, homely, light and airy and pleasantly chaotic. I especially love the outside space and how it opens right onto the rooms. This is something I didn’t find in any other nursery I looked at and is so nice as they can go out in all weather, and I love picking her up in the summer and finding everyone still hanging out in the fresh air.

Bessborough Nursery is a wonderful welcoming nursery with friendly staff. My daughter was extremely anxious to start nursery and settling in was an emotional challenge for us both. Our keyworker was extremely supportive and caring and has helped my daughter settle into nursery amazingly. She now loves to go to nursery!

My grandson has been at Bessborough for just over a year now and he has come on in leaps and bounds. He is developing at a rate faster than expected and I believe this is because of the staff and LEYF as an organisation. There are so many stimulating activities to do and my grandson is experiencing things my own children experienced in reception.

The standard of care provided at Bessborough is exceptional and I am very pleased with the level of confidence and knowledge that key workers have with regards to my child’s development, learning and interests. Staff members have taken the time to build strong relationships with my child and ourselves, as parents which has really helped when seeking advice and ensure a level of positive engagement. The management of the nursery is effective and there is a clear understanding of where my child is at in terms of their development. Sincere child care interest from staff members is also evident from the conversations I have with the nursery manager about the nursery app home activities that I post from home.
All in all, an outstanding child care provision that supports language and early years development through a consistent and engaging approach.

The staff at Bessborough are excellent – our daughter talks about them a lot and they are very caring. The facilities are excellent – so much outside space is excellent. Thank you for being so great.

We are very very happy parents. The baby team are loving, caring and great at communication. We leave our daughter every day knowing that she is learning, socialising and eating nutritiously but most importantly that she is loved and understood. We couldn’t be happier with Bessborough.

Our daughter has started to go to this nursery from 1 year old in the baby room and went through all the next rooms (toddler and pre-school) in the past 2 years. Teachers always go the extra mile and they do so many activities with the kids. They are spending a lot of time in the large garden which we like a lot. They log in an app for everything they do throughout the day which is really reassuring as well.
