Poppits Day Nursery

We have found Poppits to be a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming setting for our son, who has flourished during his time there. The team do an incredible job planning activities that develop and engage kids. Thanks to the app, it is easy to see what our son is doing during the day and we’re consistently impressed by the varied and imaginative activities: from arts and crafts to discovering about numbers and letters, to discovering different cultures. He also enjoys playing in the well equipped garden. Alongside the app, there is also excellent in person updates between parents and Poppits. All the team are remarkable and are cheerful to take the time to discuss and provide feedback. They truly know and care about our son. It’s also excellent that the manager is so hands on and clearly knows all the kids highly well, her journey and knowledge are much appreciated. We couldn’t be happier with our son’s journey at Poppits Day Childcare centre and wouldn’t hesitate to suggest it.

The teaching and discovering provided by Poppits is fantastic and prepared both of them for their next stage at school. The Christmas playtime, Sports Day and Graduation Day are exceptional. The team work hard to provide care and work together as a team. All of the team members knew both of my kids highly well. The extras like tennis, swimming, ballet, bouncy castle (pre-Covid) and mindfulness are excellent extras for building their skills and self‑assurance. The outdoor playtime, celebrations, the handful of art coming back, and imaginary playtime are things they still talk about. The team are approachable and give daily feedback. I had no hesitation leaving my kids under their care and I would highly suggest Poppits Childcare centre. Both my kids are sociable, cheerful, academic, and confident due in part to their time there. Poppits has been an invaluable part of my life for the last 6 years.

The manager and her team are attentive, skilled and fully engaged with all the kids. My daughter was there for just over eighteen months and her development in that time has been incredible. They teach, they nurture and they promote kindness and empathy amongst the kids. I was sad when the time came to leave but confident that my daughter was ready for school thanks to the fantastic journey she had there. There wasn’t a day when she didn’t want to go in or a day when she came home anything other than positive. I cannot suggest Poppits Day Childcare centre highly enough.

He will be leaving in September to go to School and will miss Poppits immensely. He consistently looks forward to Mondays when he can go back to see his friends and the ‘adults’ team as he calls them.
As an anxious mother, I was re-assured by Brenda and her team in the early days of settling my son in his new setting. Although the childcare centre is not the largest in the area, it is well set-up and the team consistently make sure the activities are best suited to the different age groups, whilst also allowing them all to mingle and learn from each other, respecting babies when they are older – and discovering from the big toddlers/pre-schoolers when they are little. I have visited all the local nurseries before choosing Poppits and the main reason was how cheerful all the kids are. You rarely hear any cries there and it is consistently a mission to try and get him to come home as he has such a great time he doesn’t want his days to end.
The team are all truly great with the kids and the pre-school educators have been developing maths and writing skills to a truly great level (when the kids are ready – taking into consideration their discovering abilities/willingness) – consistently in a enjoyable way, but with a nice structure as well, so prepare them for school.
The garden, although not within direct access, is well laid out and there are lots of toys and activities for the kids to playtime with.
The added bonus is the access to bouncy castle twice a week which my son LOVES and which truly is a excellent perk – as well as the French lessons on a Wednesday.
I have a baby daughter whom I will actually travel 12 miles into Putney to drop off as I adore the childcare centre and want her to have the same fantastic journey as my son.
I would truly suggest Poppits and the team there. Everyone is lovely and I can’t thank them enough for all the dedication they have shown my son in the past 4 years. He will truly miss everyone there hugely! My son has been at Poppits since he was 7 months (started Feb12).

My kid has grown from a baby into a confident toddler over the years, so has met with most of the competent, attentive and welcoming team. They know each kid’s strengths and weaknesses, provide solid advice or make recommendations. They pick up on small things, that may turn into bigger issues and consistently have an open ear, even during stressful times and they are personable and sincere. Food and beverage is outstanding, their approach to menus is outstanding and they are highly thorough when it comes to safety. The management is well organised, supporting parents and kids alike, communicating efficiently and they keep every tiny detail on the radar, making everything easier with the app! They do a lot of activities like swimming lessons, bouncy castle and tennis. They also have a excellent garden to delight in the fresh air every day! I’m highly cheerful choosing Poppits Day Childcare centre, which for my son is a second family! I highly suggest! I cannot suggest the Poppits Day Childcare centre highly enough.

The quality of care is exceptional and the facilities are excellent. They’ve got a highly nice garden to playtime in and they do a lot of interesting activities outdoors, like cultivating vegetables and discovering about the plants’ development. All team are highly expert and supportive, they provide the right care for every kid. My son truly enjoys going to childcare centre and takes part in all the activities during the day. As parents, for us, the childcare centre app is highly useful to use, be in touch with the team and be updated daily with useful information about the meals, activities, photos and everything regarding our son. I truly appreciate all the efforts made to keep the childcare centre open and all the kids secure during this difficult pandemic situation! I highly suggest! My son has had attended Poppits Day Childcare centre since he was seventeen months old and it took some time to settle but due to the care received and the highly welcoming team, this transition happened highly smoothly.

He was exceptionally premature (born at 25 weeks) and so there was additional fear about him going to a childcare centre around the time of his first birthday but the team have created a stellar setting for kids to sense – and be – secure and to flourish. They are consistently undertaking productive activities to help the kids develop, especially when it comes to group playtime for those without siblings and some of the messier things like painting, glue, etc which most of us just aren’t in a position to manage the consequences of at home. All of the kids are cheerful to go in the door each morning and barely give a glance back which I see as a excellent indicator, as is the fact that there are so many ‘repeat customers’ who come back with the new additions to their families. Our son has been at Poppits for coming up to eighteen months now and we are so glad we sent him there.

He absolutely loved it! I can not suggest Poppits Day Childcare centre enough. The team were highly welcoming, supportive and attentive and it is great value for money. Special thanks to the preschool team and the manager for all that they do to prepare the kids for school. He is doing exceptionally well at school. Thank you to all the team! Our son attended the childcare centre for almost four and a half years until he started school.
