Abacus Ark Nursery School Wandsworth

My son started attending Abacus Ark Wandsworth in July 2020 when he was 8 months old. The settle-in process could not have been smoother or more natural. The communication with the management is very open and friendly. My son loves his teachers and peers and you can tell that the nursery environment is very calm and happy. The food menu is very complete and they eat healthy snacks throughout the day. We are very pleased with the experience at Abacus Ark and would highly recommend other parents to trust on Abacus Ark staff as they are amazing!

We have been a part of the Abacus Ark family for over five years now, with three of our children attending the nursery. We have always been so impressed by how friendly and professional the staff are. They approach each day enthusiastically and have always taken the time to focus on the individual needs of each child, supporting us as a family and helping build confidence in our little ones.

My daughter is happy, so I’m a happy mother! After a bad experience last year in Barnes, I didn’t expect to find such a nice place for her. In addition, the parent area idea is excellent! I look forward to seeing it finished.

Our 2 children have attended since October 2021. Our youngest 19 months on start date has absolutely flourished and is so well taught and cared for, he has really opened up socially thanks to the school. His teachers are so kind, they do everything they can to encourage and support his development in all areas. Our eldest is now 4, he absolutely loves it and so enjoys the varied classes and activities offered (cooking, yoga, music, rugby, drama). I feel they are providing him a good springboard for reception in September. The only downside is that the school does not have a dedicated outdoor play area but they definitely make up for it with walks to the park (which our oldest tells us about constantly!). They are also in the process of creating an indoor soft play space which we are really looking forward to. We look forward to another couple of years here with our youngest.

My kid started nursery two months ago and I spent most of my days at the co-working space since you can use it for free and get free internet/coffee while meeting other parents. The staff coming in and out is very friendly so I actually look forward to dropping off and picking up my kid! Otherwise, you get updates through a phone app, a little bit like an online feed of your kid and it seems like he is having a blast every day. There is also sort of a recap of the day with data such as the number of wet nappies. What he has eaten and quantity, etc. Neat!

From what I saw when I visited other nurseries and I know from other parents, I am 100% confident I chose the right nursery for my kids. The attitude of the teachers is outstanding and every time I had to discuss with the management I had no issue sorting things out. Every individual I met and I interacted with showed me professionalism, passion for their job, and respect. Could I ask for more? It seems I can! The nursery organised plenty of activities such as drama classes, yoga, music, rugby…I still remember the day I saw my daughter doing an amazing yoga position with less than 2 years! I also like they go outside for walks and to the park, it is amazing how they manage to get them all in a perfect line, holding hands and behaving like they never do at home! Last but not least, my daughter and my son both haven’t had a single day when they cried dropping them or picking them up. What else can I ask for?

Overall I have had an excellent experience with Abacus – my son settled in very easily and loves going in every day. The teachers are very friendly and approachable with great communication received.

Incredible nursery! They have looked after my little boy since he was 1 and my second baby will join in November. Other friends and family comment on how well-behaved and clever my little boy is. I know that the majority of this is down to the nursery. He absolutely loves it there and is incredibly happy. I can’t recommend this nursery enough.

Abacus nursery has been amazing for my little girl. The preschool is so active – providing forest school experiences, rugby, drama, dance, cooking, soft play, and various learning activities (reading, show and tell, etc) that my daughter comes home tired but so happy and looking forward to the next day. Her preschool teacher has been exceptional with her (a real parent partnering experience). I could not recommend it more highly. The nursery is almost next door to the park and unlike other nurseries, they make it an objective to give the kids outdoor running around time every single day, unless really bad weather when they take them to their amazing soft play space (beautifully constructed all connected climbing, bridges, slides etc).

Abacus Ark has definitely got the kid’s development and experiences at its core of its curriculum and values. Very much a happy nursery and an excellent feeder into outstanding schools. Also always extracurricular fun activities to include the parents. A nursery where what parents think or say, really matters. Overall couldn’t be happier.
