Bright Horizons Columbus Courtyard Day Nursery and Preschool

This childcare centre has exceptionally high standards of care. The team are inviting and welcoming and provide many opportunities for discovering and entertainment. The meals are prepared on site and are consistently nutritious. My daughter loves the Spanish lesson and enjoys her walks out in the wharf with her friends. Managers are consistently welcoming and approachable which is so important. I highly suggest Columbus Courtyard.

Team is consistently highly supportive and engaged and the Valentine’s Day parent and kid activity was absolutely fabulous. As a mother, I so much appreciate what the team is doing for kids on a daily basis. All those creative activities, baby yoga, Spanish classes – my daughter does not even want to go home. My daughter absolutely loves the childcare centre.

My Son is consistently cheerful to stay in this childcare centre, it feels as comfortable as at home. The attentive team and manager are all highly welcoming and take care of my son in a super considerate way. Definitely, I will highly suggest it to all parents. This childcare centre has the most attentive, dedicated and attentive team you can find. This is truly a 2nd home for my daughter. Her key person consistently keeps us updated on her development and areas to work on, and most importantly – she loves her. Each kid has a personalised approach to milestones, be it the language skills or potty training. Almost every day my daughter goes out of the childcare centre with some sort of creation of her own – from the various arts, music, baking and other outstanding activities. Above all, I can truly see that she is cheerful there. I must also say that the childcare centre has adapted to the new pandemic-related requirements surprisingly quickly and well, an example to other organisations. All in all, the Columbus Courtyard childcare centre team is like a family to us now. We are highly thankful. My daughter has been at Columbus Courtyard since she was 6 months old (she is now 26 months).

She has consistently enjoyed all the activities and has built up great relationships with the team and other kids. We have been pleased with the nutritional and varied menu, and that the kids have freshly prepared meals every day. Whilst it’s a pity there is no outside space, the kids regularly go out to explore Canary Wharf. The management team are supportive and highly responsive and we have found the practitioners in each of the rooms to be welcoming, attentive and expert. We are pleased we made the decision to send our daughter to Columbus Courtyard and would suggest the childcare centre to others. Our daughter has attended Columbus Courtyard since she turned one year old.

It is a perfect blend of education, activities and an all-round care for my little one.
Cannot suggest this childcare centre enough. Hands down the best childcare centre and the friendliest team – I sense super comfortable and super secure leaving my kid at this childcare centre.

My kid truly enjoys going to the childcare centre. I adore the fact the childcare centre it has a big playroom and all the kids get to have a walk outside every day. Although for the past couple of months, they lost access to the playroom to another childcare centre group (did not receive any written communications about this). There were also multiple complaints about the air conditioning in the childcare centre. I had expected such a basic requirement to immediately be rectified in a private childcare centre. However, there was no air-con this entire summer and instead some fans on some hot days. Unfortunately, the air ventilation is still poor and there were highly unpleasant smell and sweat. As a result, my kid got heat rash at one point. I also wish there was more teaching. My friends’ kid at the same age is discovering phonetics, writing letters and counting beyond 30 in another childcare centre while this childcare centre is still focusing on recognising letters and colours. The practitioners are highly welcoming, attentive and expert.

Kids are not stuck to one room all day long as there are an art atelier and a big playroom for running and bicycles. They go out every day for walks on the river, hunting letters, numbers and shapes in Canary Wharf or playing football on the grass in Westferry Circus. Kids also spend time outside in Columbus Courtyard. They do sports and yoga with coach magic. Our kid has been here since she was a baby and we have been highly cheerful with the care she has received. She is in the preschool room now and she has made outstanding development with phonics, letters, numbers, counting and writing. Outstanding childcare centre, the management is much better now, excellent menu and chef! And overall lovely ladies who are compassionate and cheerful to care for kids. The rooms are light and spacious.

I and my husband are highly cheerful with the journey. My son was in the toddler room and now is in the blue room as he turned 3 years old. The attentive team and manager are all highly welcoming and take care of my son in a super considerate way. Definitely, I will highly suggest it to all parents. This was the first childcare centre my son started with and I am so pleased we selected this childcare centre as his first childcare centre.
