On collection, the staff can tell me exactly how her day went in regards to eating, napping, behaviour etc. The staff member on reception always welcomes children and parents with a smile and does her best to get to know the children and parents. We are now into our 2nd year here and will stay until it’s time to move on to reception.

My daughter has advanced cognitively very well since starting at the nursery. I am confident that my daughter is getting an excellent amount of stimulation.

May 29, 2018 at 12:00 amGood nursery. My daughter is happy to go there and does not show resistance which is very reassuring. The education is good for now but I think they need to improve on potty training. Altogether I am satisfied with the service and the care.

May 29, 2018 at 12:00 amMy daughter has attended LEYF now for just over a year and is very settled and happy there. I receive a daily update as to what she did during the day, what she ate and how much and her general mood and behaviour.

June 4, 2018 at 12:00 amGreat environment and stimulation, our child is very happy at nursery and we love the community of staff, children and parents. Facilities are fab and staff are friendly and helpful. Communication between staff members could be better on occasion – sometimes we get different information from different members of staff, and once our child wasn’t given a dose of medication we’d advised she needed. However, there is a lovely vibe overall and we are very happy our child attends this nursery!

July 11, 2019 at 12:00 amMy daughter needed a little surgery on her thumb and al the management and staff took care of her hand so well. Thye put and exchanged gloves when in messy play and I cannot be thankful enough. This is only one this as what they do in there is amazing. My son also attends this nursery and he loves it. The learning progress is great as well as the activities they do.

July 11, 2019 at 12:00 amWe are very happy with the nursery and the staff. Our children attend happily and when they come home they talk about their friends and teachers. The mud kitchen is a hit!
They usually have 2 closures a year for staff training. Our children attend full time so we are always affected. These closures are inconvenient and we have to look for alternative childcare arrangements which cost us money.

July 17, 2019 at 12:00 amSouth Bermondsey Community Nursery is an amazing nursery. I love staffing facilities and activities. They offer amazing balanced food to the kids and take great care of the children. My only worry is that they have a large staff pool so you see new faces very often. Really happy overall. Will definitely recommend.

– Facilities are large, including a big outdoor space.
– Staff are well prepared, kind and open to discussion with parents.
– Management are caring and helpful.
– Activities are varied and children well involved.

February 4, 2020 at 12:00 amThe nursery is quite lovely, very caring and engaged. The staff does change quite a lot but management has made some improvements in the last year. The management has a very tough old school approach to parents but seems ok to the kids. I would say that they are very hard to read. Kids seem happy and healthy and the hours are decent too. Definitely recommend.

September 1, 2020 at 12:00 amOur daughter has been going to South Bermondsey nursery for a couple of months now and the change in her is amazing! She has developed incredibly since attending, in all areas – speech, mobility, eating, sign language etc.
She is so excited in the morning when we say ‘nursery’ and runs in to see everyone.
The staff are excellent, you can tell they genuinely care for the children and really enjoy their jobs. Communication is also good and we’re given a daily update – how she’s slept, what she ate, what activities they did, what she did/didn’t enjoy etc. They also send us pictures of her doing various activities during the day.
Our experience could not have been more positive and we’re so pleased we chose this nursery.

They do lots of fun activities, and the staff do a great job of tracking each child’s progress.
The food is all fresh and healthy and is very varied.
I would happily recommend this nursery to everyone!

September 1, 2020 at 12:00 amOur 2-year-old has been at South Bermondsey since he was 10-months-old and he loves it. He runs in every morning, without even a backwards glance and comes out beaming with joy every afternoon. He clearly develops well with other children, and his eating and behaviour improve when he has been at nursery. The activities are varied, and we love seeing pictures of his day on their app.
As parents, we find the staff professional, kind, supportive, honest and open. The manager and deputy know all the children and are quick to spot any issues. They have great patience, humour and empathy. It really does feel like they are part of our family. The space, itself, is purpose-built, clean and tidy and light and airy. The food is excellent and healthy.
We recommend the nursery to everyone we meet, and we are so happy to have found such a happy nurturing place for our little boy.

September 1, 2020 at 12:00 amThis is a lovely nursery with caring, professional staff. The space is great, the kids have lots of room, and a good outdoor space. They do plenty of activities, including lots of messy play, learning about food and textures, etc. Our little boy is very happy here. The group is non-profit and provides places for disadvantaged kids as well as fully paid places. Despite this, the fees are slightly slower than most other local nurseries. All-round, this is a brilliant nursery.

September 4, 2020 at 12:00 amA fabulous little nursery – my eldest started there when it first opened, and my second is just going into pre-school, and both kids have loved their time there. The outdoor space and mud kitchen are huge hits, and the variety of activities the kids can get involved with is very welcome – tired, happy kids come home at the end of the day. The deputy manager is a star, full of energy and makes lots of time for both kids and parents.

December 28, 2022 at 12:00 amGreat nursery. My son really enjoys the staff. He seems really happy there. He does tons of fun activities and usually comes home clean even after painting. The only issue is with the summaries of their day’s system is frequently down.

January 13, 2023 at 12:00 amWe are very pleased to have our second child in South Bermondsey Nursery. The staff are so caring and genuinely do their best for the kid’s development. They made the transitions to any new face a joint effort between parents/nursery and are so loving towards kids. I can tell they keep them safe, motivated and happy.
I highly recommend it.
